Being Op With My Broken System: All Limits Have Errors-Chapter 291: Space bullets
Alex decided not to dwell on the matter any longer; the beast had already regained clarity after taking Eric’s hit and was currently observing both of them.
"What do you think about its scales?" Alex asked Eric after thinking for a bit, after all, the boy was the one who made contact with the snake.
"The scales are very tough, and it’ll be difficult for me to break through them alone, even with the help of these magic items," Eric explained as black stars formed around him and connected into two star patterns.
"Shadow blades," Eric cast shadow blades again. But unlike the other times when the shadowy daggers appeared from the star patterns, dark streams of energy flowed out from the star patterns and covered the two magic items in Eric’s hands.
The dark mana fused with the runes on the blades before merging with them and coating them in a black aura. In the next moment, the two curved daggers had transformed into two large shadow swords with curved blades.
Eric currently looked like a swordsman with the shadow attribute who was dual-wielding!
’Cool,’ Alex thought upon seeing this, this form of the shadow daggers was truly impressive.
"What do you suggest?" Alex asked after Eric finished his transformation. The huge creature in the distance still wasn’t attacking them yet and continued to observe while slithering through the darkness.
"How about we attack together? I’ll be the main force and you’ll support me with space bullets. If we land clean hits on the same spot a few times, we should be able to kill it." Eric suggested.
He recalled Alex killing the magic beast during their registration test with a single space bullet. He had also seen the space bullets in action a few times; it was incredibly powerful!
Alex smiled slightly, pleased with the boy’s suggestion. That was the same suggestion that he would have come up with as well if he didn’t want to one-shot the snake.
"Ok, let’s go with that," Alex said and turned his attention towards the beast, his eyes glowing with silver white light.
Eric grinned in response to this. He created another two star patterns and used shadow blend to sink into the ground before approaching the beast.
Somehow, the creature was able to detect Eric even in his invisible state and shot a beam attack from its horn toward him.
Eric easily dodged the attack and moved to a different position, he was much faster in this form and the entire forest being a huge shadow only strengthened him further.
BOOM!
The beam attack crashed into the ground and exploded, sending chunks of earth flying everywhere after missing its target.
The snake slithered around and wanted to face Eric’s direction when a voice sounded from behind it.
"He isn’t your only opponent!" Alex’s voice sounded as two bright silver white star patterns hovered in front of him, their glow illuminating a part of the forest and casting even darker shadows on some.
"Space bullets!" Alex called out.
The next moment, whistling sounds could be heard as several invisible space bullets tore through the air toward the snake. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The beast only felt that something dangerous was coming at it but since it was only sensitive toward the shadow element and darkness, it was unable to sense the space bullets.
Regardless, its beastly instincts still made it move away but the space bullets were faster.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
Several space bullets landed on the hard scales of the beast, knocking it back by several meters and causing it to let out a pained hissing sound as visible dents instantly appeared on several of its scales.
It wasn’t too surprising that Alex had managed to deal damage even with a Core rank spell, he was a Saint after all.
"Good job, my turn!" Eric’s excited voice rang out from the darkness behind the snake as he suddenly appeared from the darkness close to it, already swinging his two large shadow swords at the creature.
He had seen the dents that Alex’s spells had created, Eric didn’t hesitate to aim for them.
Bang!
Crack!
The two blades slammed into a single large scale with the most visible dent and a clear cracking sound rang out as web-like cracks quickly spread all over the scale.
Just one more hit and it would definitely shatter! Seeing this, Eric didn’t want to let the chance go. He used his swords to push himself into the air before spinning and coming down for another strike.
However, blinded by pain, the snake twisted its body in a shocking manner and in the next moment, its large mouth was going for Eric who was descending from the sky.
Eric "..."
’Fuck, I shouldn’t have attacked right away.’ he thought solemnly, he could already imagine himself digesting in the stomach of this creature.
"Telekinesis!"
However, Alex’s voice sounded at this moment. Eric noticed that the body of the snake suddenly froze before its head was forcefully pulled to the side, revealing the spot where the crack was to Eric.
The boy was shocked but most importantly, realized the opportunity that he was given and without hesitation, he continued his attack and landed both swords on the same spot.
Crack!!
Shink!
The swords landed on the already cracked scale, instantly shattering it before sinking into the soft flesh underneath it. Blood instantly gushed out as the snake let out a crazed hissing sound and began thrashing around wildly.
After successfully delivering the critical hit, Eric wasn’t stupid enough to repeat what he had done previously and instantly retreated back to Alex’s side.
Meanwhile, the snake continued to thrash around, slamming its body into the nearby trees and creating a lot of noise.
"Alex, that was incredible! You controlled a mutated rank beast!" Eric exclaimed after arriving beside Alex.
Instead of replying with words, Alex raised his hand and again.
Pah!
He smacked Eric’s head.
"What were you thinking?!" Alex scolded.
Eric knew that he had messed up this time, the situation could have turned out really bad had Alex not managed to control the snake at that moment.
"Sorry," so instead of making up an excuse, Eric lowered his head and apologised.
Alex stared at him, all the words he previously wanted to say to Eric disappeared after the kid apologised.
"Sigh, don’t just be reckless like that again." Was all he said in the end before returning his attention to the creature.
After thrashing about for a bit, the snake suddenly wriggled deeper into the forest.
It was trying to escape!
"No you don’t!" Alex spat and chased after it, Eric followed closely behind him as they chased after the snake. It was heading for the canyon behind the ironwood forest.
Alex quickly caught up before the snake could leave the forest and cast telekinesis.
The creature that was moving with great speed suddenly froze, the sudden stop causing its large body to slide across the ground before crashing into a tree.
"Eric, now!" Alex shouted while purposely showing a struggling expression.
"On it!" Eric responded and dashed past Alex. He quickly arrived beside the beast with both swords raised high as his eyes locked on the open wound on the creature’s body.
The brown eyes of the snake glared at Eric with resentment but its body just refused to listen to it, it could only watch helplessly as the human’s swords came down on it.
Swish!!!
