(BL)Alpha Made-Chapter 459: Just keep moving
They got closer and closer, and each second they took to clear the rooms next to them made Andrew's head spin. It was truly because as they got closer to that room, the scent kept getting thicker.
Why the hell was Tracey's smell here? That rancid garbage smell made him want to hurl. The only reason he wasn't was because of Maxwell's scent.
Thomas and the others kept glancing at him, trying to make sense of the whole thing. The officers were doing their job, calling for Nicole, letting the other residents of the house know that they were here. Clearly, this was not the normal welfare check, but what could they do?
This was, by no means, a normal situation. Andrew was sure that as soon as pheromones were involved, the police had a rather different approach to the whole thing.
Andrew's gaze never left the door, and once the final door was checked, the head officer tried it finally. It didn't open.
Andrew knew it wasn't going to open, so did Thomas, the officers, everyone. Andrew didn't give a fuck at this point.
"Step back." He warned. Not just the officers, but everyone else that could hear him.
"Dr. Knox, you really shouldn't-"
"My sister might be trapped beyond this door. Do you really think I give a fuck about a breaking and entering charge?" Andrew snapped, the foul scent getting to him and making his temper roar. It was actually a rather welcome distraction. Andrew forgot all about the floaty feeling he felt in his body and his cock had gone flaccid.
It was amazing what trauma could do.
Andrew waited a few seconds before he kicked at the door, his own hyper strength a welcome addition at this moment. The door shattered, splintering and the sound of screams on the other side could be heard.
When the head officer sighed and got the door open, they realised it was significantly darker on the other side. Either there were no windows, or they had been boarded up.
The stench was unbearable. Now Andrew could also smell the scent of urine and feces mixed with the overwhelming scent of omega pheromones, true alpha pheromones, and the disgusting scent of Tracey.
She was in here. Somewhere, that woman was in here.
The thought made Andrew's stomach roll.
"Nicole? Nicole, are you in here?" Andrew called into the darkness, hoping and praying for an answer. There was nothing from Nicole, but he could pick up a faint scent, a faint trace.
Nicole had not emitted her pheromones on the day that they had met in person. He knew that she was close to doing so because she was embarrassed and overwhelmed, but that didn't mean that he had actually smelt them.
It was frustrating, but Andrew didn't know her scent, and even more frustrating, there were more than one trace of true alpha pheromones. In fact, it was like a fucking carpet in here. So many strands of scents interwoven together.
Andrew's chest was tight with panic. It was going to take forever for him to find her, and he needed to find her. Now. It was a pulse against his throat. He just knew that she was in trouble. He knew it, the same way that Noah did.
"Nicole! Answer me! It's me, your big brother! Andrew!" Andrew called desperately, hoping that she would hear him.
Instead, he drew the attention of omegas.
Andrew had never really encountered omegas like this before. They were like lifeless dolls, devoid of any emotion except the hunger for pleasure. What was made worse was the fact that they were all naked, and the stench that came from them made Andrew's body recoil.
They did not smell just of pheromones.
"Dr. Knox, you can't go in there." The head officer told Andrew as he was about to step into the room. Blind, without a cellphone to use as a flashlight, nothing. He was going in, naked and afraid, but he couldn't stop himself. This wasn't a compulsion to find an omega, this was a compulsion to help his younger sibling.
The one who had smiled so prettily as she told Andrew about her plan to live with her fiancé. The one who would be broken if she bit anyone else.
Andrew's fists clenched, his teeth sharp against his lips. The other officers were dragging the omegas that had come to the door out, lining them up against the wall and spraying something into their faces. Andrew wasn't sure what it was, but he was sure it was something to calm the omegas since they grew quiet after they were spritzed.
"I don't care about the omegas here." Andrew growled. "I care about Nicole." He told the officer, and felt, for the first time, a wave of his pheromones leave his body in a wicked way. They swept off of him and he could hear the whimpers from the omegas around them as his pheromones hit them.
Before, he could sense that the omegas were reaching out to him. He couldn't see all of them, but he knew that they were all making their way towards Andrew and the others, towards the doorway.
Now? It was silent on the other side. Andrew turned, confused, ready to speak to the other alphas around him only to find that even Thomas was on the ground. The officers had crumbled under the sudden wave of pheromones from a true alpha. A pissed true alpha.
Even the alphas and betas who had been helping put the naked omegas under for their own safety were on the ground. The only good news was that the omegas were also suppressed by his wave of pheromones. Only they were crying, tears streaming down their dirty faces. Horror filled him.
"I-I'm so sorry! I-" Andrew tried to apologise, his hands coming up in front of him. He was absolutely disgusted with himself that he'd used his pheromones like this. He had warned Maxwell, but this was… Thomas, for his part, could barely move under the weight of his son-in-law's pheromones. That did not stop the man.
He tilted his head up, holding out his phone as he met Andrew's horror-filled gaze. Thomas' expression shifted slightly from one of pain to one of amusement.
"Just go find her, Andrew. We'll follow behind. Clearly, your level headed enough to do that." Thomas told him through a weak grin. The head officer was groaning.
"Just released us, could you? Fuck. I haven't felt that level of suppression in a long time." The man groaned. "But it's cleared my head." The man sounded rather upset about that, and Andrew just swallowed. He was able to pull back his pheromones slightly, and the officers got up.
The head officer glanced at the men around him, sighed, and turned towards Andrew.
"Well, let's go. I can't let you go alone, so I'll join you." The officer told him, turning on his flashlight with a sigh. "Lead the way, Dr. Knox. I have a feeling you know where we're going better than I do."
~
The head officer and Andrew stepped inside of the pitch black room. It was as horrifying as Andrew had anticipated. He'd seen the photos of the room that Jenny had busted, but this was just…
Awful. Disgusting. Truly a hell hole.
Beds covered the room. Chairs, couches, any kind of soft surface was in here. Smeared along the walls were urine, feces, and other bodily fluids. The more Andrew scanned, the more he realised that there wasn't a bathroom obviously available. That made Andrew's stomach roll more.
There wasn't a clear pathway through the room, but then again, Andrew was sure people weren't supposed to make it past this room.
"Jesus Christ." The head officer muttered, and Andrew couldn't help but nod. There was no god here, that was sure.
Andrew, with a preliminary scan of the phone flashlight, could tell that there were more rooms to the right. Andrew turned and made his way there. There were several omegas all over the room, and given how many had already been pulled out of the room, Andrew's stomach rolled more.
Just how many people had been shoved into this cramped space? How big was this torture chamber, anyways?
Andrew kept doing, the head officer and Andrew scanning each room.
Andrew's body nearly jerked to a halt when he spotted her, but he had to keep going. Now was not the time to freak the fuck out. He needed to keep his cool. Even as his pheromones swirled around him, even as he watched her perk up.
Andrew needed to keep going.
They finally found a door. Closed, locked, with several marks all over it. Andrew could hear muttering on the other side. He couldn't make out what the other person was saying, but the voice sounded painfully familiar.
"Nicole?" Andrew called, and the voice stopped for a second, before it picked up again. Andrew's heart broke. "Nicole, it's me. Andrew. I'm real, alright? I need you to move away from the door, okay? I've come to get you out of here." Andrew's voice was loud, but kind. Andrew didn't hear anything but the muttering on the other side of the door. No movement, nothing.
Andrew prayed she was away from the door.
The head officer tried the door, just to be safe before they kicked the door open, and then he stepped back and closed his eyes. While his body cam was on, he wasn't witnessing what Andrew was doing.
Andrew kicked the door, and similarly to the first time, the door just couldn't handle the strength of Andrew's kicks.
It didn't fly open, but the sound did get a startled sound out of Nicole. Andrew wanted to rush in, wanted to check on her, but the head officer pressed a hand against his chest.
"Hold on, Dr. Knox. She might be compromised. She might view you as a competing true alpha. Please be careful." He warned. The thought had truly never even crossed Andrew's mind. He stared at the officer, uncomprehending.
Was he saying that Nicole might attack him? Well, that was a risk he was willing to take. Andrew could fight. He would be able to take her.
