Everyone had a tiring day at work, with Mary bearing the brunt of it. Rei had instructed them to rearrange the opening dates of the branches as an additional safety measure.
Altering the dates was already quite troublesome for Mary, as Rei had explicitly instructed her not to inform Amy and Henry about it. Only trusted people were made aware of the plan and important suppliers.
They all reached a consensus that Theo would handle the situation in a way that made it seem like the issue occurred late at night, effectively preventing the opening of the first branch that day.
Mary had the responsibility of speaking to numerous individuals and securing their signatures on non-disclosure agreements to ensure that no information would be leaked.
Rei and Anton met in Anton’s penthouse for a planning session over dinner, taking advantage of Roana’s last night staying there. Roana’s involvement in their investigation was crucial, which is why it was important to inform her in advance about certain aspects of their plans.
As the four of them gathered in the dining room, Rei initiated the discussion about his strategy. "Roana, do you believe you can establish a close relationship with Kevin and discreetly place a voice recorder in his car and office?"
Before Roana could respond, Mary interjected, "Why not use a camera instead of just a voice recorder?"
"Placing a camera secretly in confined spaces is challenging," Rei explained. "Besides, we already have someone tailing him, so we’ll know who he associates with. Moreover, using the recorded video as evidence in court would be problematic since it was obtained without consent, unlike CCTV footage from public places."
Mary nodded, attentively listening to Rei’s explanation as she served dishes onto Anton’s plate.
Rei continued, addressing the women, "Our objective is to determine his guilt and identify any potential collaborators. Once we have certainty, it will be easier to gather evidence that can be used against him."
"It seems like it will be relatively easy for me because he’s already making advances toward me. I suspect he intends to use me somehow, although I’m uncertain of his exact intentions. The good news is that I won’t have to actively do anything. He offered to assist me with shopping for items for my new apartment, and all I need to do is accept," Roana explained.
Anton expressed concern, asking, "But will it be safe for you?"
"I will be careful," Roana reassured. "Besides, you mentioned that you already have someone keeping tabs on him, right? Additionally, we’ll be in public places and won’t be alone together in private, so there should be an added layer of protection. If he insists on spending time alone with me, I can just simply use my parents or son as an excuse."
After their dinner, Rei handed the recording devices to Roana and provided her with detailed instructions on how to operate them properly. He also advised her on the ideal locations for discreetly placing the devices. Additionally, Rei reminded her of the appropriate actions to take in various scenarios they had discussed.
Unknown to Amy and Henry, Rei was conducting daily training sessions for Mary and Roana in Anton’s penthouse after work, before he headed back to his cabin. He was adamant about not sending the two women on a mission without proper preparation and training.
"By the way, I forgot to mention earlier that Josephine asked me to reserve a room for her at the Century Hotel for tomorrow’s event," Roana informed Rei. "Should I inform her about the rescheduling of the opening?"
"No, it’s best not to," replied Rei. "Let her believe that no one is aware of the rescheduling. Given that Kevin is also pursuing her, we can’t be certain if she can keep the information confidential just yet." With that, Rei bid farewell to everyone and took his leave.

It was already late at night, but Amy could not sit still. She continued to double-check everything needed for the upcoming day. Even their outfits for the event had been prepared in advance.
"Amy, that’s enough. You’ve checked everything multiple times already. I’m sure Mary and Sandra did the same. Can you please stop and come join me here?" Henry said, tapping Amy’s side of the bed.
"I am sorry; I just can’t help it. I’m feeling nervous and excited at the same time. What if something goes wrong? What if the appliances decided to not work tomorrow?" Amy expressed her concerns.
"In that case, I will arrange for someone to either bring us a new appliance or fix it," Henry reassured her.
"And what if we run out of supplies in the middle of the operation?" Amy asked, pushing it further.
"Then that is actually good news because I can simply order someone to fetch the necessary supplies," Henry responded, placing his arm around Amy and kissing her gently on the temple.
"Fine. Will you be there the whole day?" Amy inquired.
"Yes, love. I’ll be there for the entirety of your opening days," Henry replied, emphasizing his commitment. He then playfully pointed his fingers to his face and added, "You know, my handsomeness alone could attract thousands of customers."
Amy chuckled and playfully hit Henry on the chest. "If that’s the case, maybe I should hire you as one of the cashiers," she joked, leading them both to share a laugh together.
As their laughter subsided, Amy looked at Henry with a glimmer of admiration in her eyes. "You know, Henry, I couldn’t have done this without you. Your unwavering support, love, and encouragement have given me the strength to turn this dream into a reality."
Henry’s expression softened, and he took Amy’s hands in his. "Amy, seeing your passion and determination come to life is a gift in itself. I’m proud to stand by your side and support you every step of the way."
Amy’s heart swelled with gratitude as she leaned in to give Henry a tender kiss. "Thank you, Henry. You are my rock, my partner in life, and my greatest fan," Amy uttered before the two hugged each other passionately.
