Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Nina Seeks Trouble, Intending to Make Things Difficult for Summer Lowell

Nina White lay slumped in the passenger seat: "You could have called me out after noon, right? It’s too early now."

Tina Huxley mercilessly opened the window, letting the wind blow directly at Nina White: "Check the time, it’s already ten in the morning, not early at all. Look at the upside-down life you lead."

"Anyway, you’ve dragged me out already, no point saying more. I’ll take a nap first, call me when we get to the mall."

Nina White finished speaking, took out an eye mask, put it on, reclined the seat, and started to sleep.

At the same time, in the underground parking lot of the mall, Vivian Sullivan opened the car door and got out, then circled to the driver’s side, resting her hand on the window and speaking to Summer Lowell, who was adjusting her shoes: "The traffic is really terrible here, maybe we should bike here next time?"

"We’ll talk about that next time." Summer Lowell took her purse, opened the door, and got out, "Both of us are busy with work, who knows when we’ll have time to shop together again."

Vivian Sullivan linked arms with her, walking forward with a cheerful smile: "It’s not that hard, worst case, I’ll take some days off to hang out with you."

"Earning money is the priority, once we’ve made enough, we can talk about having fun!" Summer shook her head wistfully, pulling her into the elevator, "Besides, I’m not just here to have fun today; I’ve got work tasks to do."

"It’s your rare day off, and you still bring work along while having fun?" Vivian Sullivan showed displeasure.

Summer Lowell reached out to smooth her hair, explaining helplessly: "Our company has a counter in this mall, and I’m here to conduct some market research. In a couple of days, there’s a small meeting where I’ll need to present on this topic."

"That’s why you really look tired now. You can’t relax even on your days off, still carrying work along." Vivian Sullivan pointed sympathetically at Summer’s under-eyes, "Look at those lines, you’re clearly exhausted, you should take better care of yourself."

"You’re even more worn out than I am." Summer Lowell shook her head, exhaling lightly, "We’ll hustle here for a few more years, save enough, and then we’ll head back to Leonia to enjoy ourselves."

As they spoke, the elevator reached the third floor. Summer Lowell led Vivian Sullivan out and walked towards the elegantly decorated Stellart Jewelers counter.

Vivian Sullivan wasn’t interested in jewelry. After browsing casually in the store, she felt a little thirsty, so she decided to go out to buy drinks: "Summer, you keep busy, I’ll go out to get us some drinks."

Summer Lowell, who was talking to an employee, turned around upon hearing: "Go ahead then, I’ll be busy for a while longer. If you get bored, feel free to roam around; I’ll contact you when I’m done."

"Got it, got it, you do your thing, I’ll have my fun."

Vivian Sullivan quickly strolled away, while Summer Lowell stood inside the counter, asking the branch manager for the prepared materials she had previously instructed.

In another jewelry counter diagonally opposite the store, Nina White, returning from buying drinks, walked over to Tina Huxley’s side: "Guess who I just saw?"

Annoyed for not finding the right gems, Tina Huxley looked up, completely puzzled: "Who’d you see? An ex-boyfriend?"

"Get outta here." Nina White playfully smacked her, her eyes glancing over the jewelry on the table, "Did you find anything suitable?"

Tina Huxley shook her head: "Not a single suitable piece, I’ve decided to go bid at an overseas auction."

Nina White handed one of the drinks to Tina Huxley: "Have a sweet drink to cheer up, we’re not in a hurry. Then come with me, I’ll show you who I saw just now."

"Who did you see, for real? With all this mystery," Tina Huxley followed her outside, confused.

Nina White lifted her chin, pointing at a spot not far away: "Over there, your strongest rival."

Tina Huxley followed her gaze, and saw Summer Lowell chatting and smiling with an employee.

Upon seeing Summer Lowell, Tina Huxley’s expression immediately changed: "Her? She doesn’t even qualify to be my rival!"

Realizing she had accidentally touched a nerve, Nina White quickly rephrased: "What I mean is, she’s delusional about becoming your rival. Wanna go over and give her a lesson?"

"Nope." Tina Huxley shook her head, a new idea quickly crossing her mind. It’s not the right time to deal with Summer Lowell yet; their conflict hasn’t escalated openly at the moment.

But there’s a handy tool ready for use. Tina abruptly remembered something and pointed at a luxury store nearby: "Forget it, let’s head to the next store to pick something? I’ve talked with them, and they saved a globally limited bracelet for you, today’s the pickup day." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

As she said she wanted to leave, Nina White didn’t move: "No rush, you go to the store and watch the show; I’ll help you deal with that oblivious Summer Lowell who’s annoyed you several times."

Seeing Nina willingly align with her plan, Tina’s eyes flashed with a smile. She warned her worriedly: "Be careful, that one has many tricks. She’s the only one who managed to stick around Maxim Sinclair as a secretary, after all. Watch yourself, don’t let her turn the tables on you."

"Don’t worry, I love dealing with women who are eager to climb up."

Nina White adjusted her outfit in the nearby glass, then strutted in high heels towards Stellart’s jewelry counter.

Tina Huxley slipped into a nearby dessert shop, sitting by the window, secretly observing the situation over there.

Inside Stellart Jewelers, Summer Lowell was quietly discussing the material content with the manager, noting key points on her tablet.

Their conversation was interrupted by the unpleasant sound of a dispute from not far away.

The manager, the first to notice the commotion, hurriedly exchanged looks with the nearby staff, instructing them to quickly resolve this little scuffle. She didn’t want Summer to feel she was an incompetent manager.

The employee got the hint and went to intervene, but the quarrel did not subside; instead, it grew louder.

The noise made it impossible for Summer Lowell to continue reviewing the materials.

Summer Lowell raised her head, looking at the elegantly dressed yet relentless woman not too far away, instructing the manager beside her: "Go see what’s going on."

The manager had no choice but to personally handle the situation.

A while later, Summer Lowell lifted her head again, silently watching the manager continue bowing and apologizing in the distance.

Moments later, she frowned, waving over a nearby standing employee: "What’s happening? Why is it so loud?"

"It’s really nothing, she just got upset because that necklace she wanted isn’t in stock."
