Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Summer Lowell Rescued from Embarrassment

"If there’s no stock, then transfer it from other stores." Summer Lowell was perplexed as to why this could cause an argument. "Appease the customer; isn’t it basic work to do?"

"It’s not like that." A clerk spoke up to explain for her colleague. "Vivian did mention that she could immediately contact other stores to coordinate delivery, but somehow that lady suddenly changed her demeanor, claiming our store was looking down on her."

"Is she insane? Coordinating delivery for her, how does that turn into looking down on her?" Summer Lowell stared at the crowd quarreling over there for a while, then turned to inquire the clerk. "Are you sure Vivian didn’t say or do anything inappropriate when communicating with her?"

"I can guarantee absolutely not. I was right there, and I had already dialed the nearest Stellart counter, just about to discuss transferring stock when this lady suddenly exploded. It really was baffling; no one understands why."

"If it’s as you say, then it is indeed quite strange." Summer Lowell slowly stood up. "I am not a professional, unable to handle such matters. But if this lady complains about you, you can have someone from the company find me."

"Alright, thank you, Director Lowell." The clerk bowed gratefully.

"It’s too noisy here. Take me to your break room; I’ll check the documents there."

Summer Lowell organized the scattered documents on the table, grabbed them, and was just about to follow the clerk inside when the lady causing trouble called her.

"Summer Lowell, is that you?"

Summer Lowell turned around, looking bewildered at Nina White, who was marching over aggressively. Behind her, the store manager hurriedly chased up, looking anxious. "Ms. White, if you have any demands, just speak to me. I am the store manager here."

"I have nothing to say to you," Nina White, with her head held high, glared at Summer Lowell aggressively. "You’re the design director for Stellart, right? I saw you at the jewelry exhibition before; don’t deny it!"

Completely at a loss as to why she was being targeted, Summer Lowell suppressed her urge to talk back, and smiled politely, "That’s me. May I ask who you are?"

"No need for you to know who I am," Nina White crossed her arms, looking at Summer Lowell with a sarcastic expression. "Didn’t I see you at the Sinclair Group before?"

Summer Lowell’s eyes shifted several times, suddenly understanding that today, it was indeed aimed at her.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about?" Summer Lowell didn’t want to get tangled up with her, raising her eyes to call the store manager. "What’s going on? How long has it been without resolution?"

The store manager was inwardly frustrated, wisely circumvented Nina White, and spoke earnestly, "Ms. White, the necklace you mentioned has been dispatched, it should arrive in twenty minutes. Perhaps you could sit for a while; we’ve prepared tea and snacks for you to relax. It’s no rush to view the necklace."

"No need for that; I don’t want it." Nina White pushed aside the store manager blocking her path and walked straight to Summer Lowell. "Are you afraid and not allowing them to show me the necklace?"

Feeling deeply that this person surnamed White had issues, Summer Lowell forcefully suppressed her rising anger, gnashing her teeth, "Ms. White, you can try anything you like. I don’t manage in-store sales."

With that, Summer Lowell intended to leave the troubled place early.

But Nina White didn’t let her go. "Why are you rushing? I merely said the necklace looked a bit like one from the Sinclair Group, and that clerk immediately turned sour and said it was out of stock. And you, as Stellart’s design director, why did you back off when I said it looked similar? See you trying to sneak away—are you guilty of something?"

Summer Lowell was extremely speechless, wanting very much to roll her eyes at her. But seeing the growing gathering of people watching, Summer Lowell could only put on a serious face, saying in an official tone, "Ms. White, please mind your language. With so many people watching, if you say something detrimental to our company’s image, we will have to notify the legal department to sue you."

"Ah, you really are guilty, you didn’t dare admit earlier!"

Nina White sneered, rolling up her sleeves, turning around, clearing her throat, and was about to shout loudly.

Suddenly, a hand rested on her shoulder, and a deep, magnetic voice laced with laughter sounded, "Isn’t this Nina? From afar, you looked like you—but it’s actually you."

Justin Huxley had arrived.

Seeing him come, Summer Lowell immediately felt much relieved.

"What happened here?" Justin Huxley had a faint smile on his face, looking at the few helpless clerks nearby, then at Nina White who had been aggressively confronting Summer Lowell, using a mediator’s tone, "Just right, I know both of you. Tell me what’s going on, I’ll mediate a bit."

Nina White had a hidden consideration for him; she looked awkward, "Nothing much, it’s just some misunderstanding, hasn’t been resolved well, we’re handling it."

Seeing her drastic reaction before and after, Summer Lowell understood, seizing the chance to restore the company’s dignity in front of everyone, "Since it’s a misunderstanding, as long as Ms. White understands us, we won’t take it to heart."

The nearby store manager also seized the opportunity to speak, "Ms. White, the necklace you ordered is at the mall entrance. Why don’t you sit here and rest for a bit? It will only take a few minutes for it to arrive."

"Eyeing a necklace?" Justin Huxley looked at Nina White, "Then sit and rest for a while. When the necklace arrives, I’ll buy it for you as a gift from your brother."

"No need to be so formal, Vaughn." Nina White didn’t want him to think of her as a domineering person and looked awkwardly at the store manager, "I do like that necklace; just wrap it up for me, I’ll pay first."

The store manager, wanting to avoid further issues, personally led Nina White aside to complete the transaction.

Meanwhile, Summer Lowell sincerely thanked Justin Huxley, "Thankfully, you are here today, otherwise, who knows how it would have ended."

Justin Huxley adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses with one hand and teased, "Don’t you feel like this sounds familiar? Like, before, how many times have I heard that familiar line?"

Summer Lowell knowingly smiled, "Indeed, I can’t remember how many times exactly I’ve said this to you."

"So you’re just saying thanks today?" Justin Huxley said, chuckling while raising his eyebrows at her.

Summer Lowell was about to respond when Nina White walked over, unwillingly, having bought a necklace, "Vaughn, are you free tonight? We haven’t seen each other for a long while, how about I treat you to dinner?"

"Oh, might be a bit unfortunate, I have an appointment with a client tonight!"
