Chapter 559: Villainy

Darian stared at that black shadow in front of him calmly. It didn’t take much to understand what that thing was: basically a leftover will of the Primordial Beast, but so faint it didn’t even have intelligence.

Its power was the Yin of death that had piled up in the corpse for countless eras.

The three Heavenly Beast divinities really were meticulous. The raw power of that evil shadow was absurdly high; way too much death Yin had merged with it. It was something beyond any mortal — only those with immortal power could handle it.

But...

"Niara," he just called her name, and she immediately understood.

At that moment, she spread her wings and her entire body pulsed with a bright green light. She fully activated the Divine Dragon Possession.

Her power, now backed by the four cores, multiplied several times over. Alear stared at Niara with glowing eyes; she radiated an almost divine splendor and beauty, her Bloodline vibrating in sync with her.

With a single motion, Niara dashed forward.

As for that shadow... its energies froze on the spot. In front of it was the true reincarnation of a Primordial Dragon, using her full Bloodline with a technique above an immortal level.

Darian already knew this: even though Niara was basically human now, any Beast, even a Primordial one, would be affected and suppressed, even if only a little.

Obviously, Niara wasn’t strong enough to kill that thing easily. The suppression was a surprise effect that would last only a second before the shadow reacted. But... that was enough.

*BANG!*

Niara punched, and the entire planet felt space-time ripple and turn turbulent. The shadow roared and staggered several steps back.

Outside, the Three-Eyed Ravens were stunned. They couldn’t understand what they were seeing. With her...!

Suddenly, they saw Darian appear like a ghost behind the shadow. He moved his hand forward. In that instant, the creature froze completely.

Darian smiled slightly. It worked.

All the death Yin was fully dominated by him. All he needed was a single second of weakness created by Niara so he could use his domain and strip that shadow of its control.

Darian waved his hand and, right in front of everyone’s eyes, that gigantic shadow began twisting. Then its form shrank and shrank... until it became a sphere less than a meter wide.

Darian moved his chaos power and sealed it completely. He slowly turned, facing Alear, who was watching everything, mesmerized.

He gestured for her. "Come get your gift. The three divinities were really kind to leave this here for you."

She gave a wide smile and ran up to him. Darian erased that leftover will completely, leaving only the Yin. Then he moved everything into a spatial ring and handed it to her.

Everyone outside had their jaws dropped, completely shocked.

In mere seconds, it was all over. Then Darian and the two calmly kept walking forward, as if nothing had happened.

A few minutes later, they stopped.

They had reached the center of the bones and, in front of them, were two things: a massive yellowish spear, and a single giant scale, over a meter long.

Darian swallowed dryly. The Rainbow Cranes knew about these items, and he had found out before coming.

The spear belonged to the missionary and was made using terrifying metals from the other universe. In that enemy universe, the laws had created a metal so hard that even immortals couldn’t break it.

In one of the battles against the missionary, the three divinities had almost killed him, but he left his spear behind to escape.

As for the giant scale, it was the central scale of the dead Primordial Beast. That had been preserved and contained the essence of all the concentrated power it once had while alive.

Both treasures were absurdly powerful and equally incredible. The three divinities already had their own treasures and preferred not to waste time getting used to these, which were quite different. So they left both for someone destined from their races.

Darian took light steps toward the treasures, leaving everyone outside completely desperate.

But...

"!"

An immortal light appeared in front of him instantly, making him stop.

Darian’s expression shifted. He felt that if he tried to take those things, the entire planet’s inscription and the immortal power left by the divinities would try to kill him.

He let out a dry snort. It was already expected that he wouldn’t get those things; from the start, he had been told that only the Heavenly Beasts could claim them. Even Runar, even being that strong, didn’t dare come to this planet and try to get those items.

But he couldn’t just let an opportunity slip by without trying to grab it. His life, and everyone else’s around him, depended on every small chance.

Darian took a deep breath... then turned around.

"Hey, three-eyed peacock. You guys interested in discussing some business?"

Darian suddenly shouted at the Three-Eyed Ravens, watching everything from outside. But his words were insulting, angering them instantly.

"You son of a— What business?!"

Even so, Galteus still had enough patience to ask what he meant.

"I ran into some trouble here. If you help me a bit, I’ll take the spear, and you keep the scale. I can get you in here and let you grab it easily. What do you say?"

"Ridiculous. I don’t believe you can take any of this. Everything will belong to my race one day. You think we’re fools?" Galteus mocked.

"You are a fool. I’ve never spoken empty words in my life. If I say I can do something, then I can. If you don’t believe me, fine. I’m sure the Twilight Owls will help me with a smile on their faces." Darian said indifferently, starting to look around.

Outside the barrier, with all the commotion, obviously, everyone on the third line of the test came to see what was happening inside. There were over a hundred Twilight Owls watching. Obviously, they hated Darian to the bone, but they would definitely accept that deal, since they were sure they’d never get either of those two things.

Of course, there was the risk that he was tricking them. But any disposable Twilight Owl could help him, since he said he could make someone reach that place easily. It wouldn’t cost much to try.

Galteus’ heart trembled. After thinking for a bit, he asked coldly: "Why don’t you tell me what you want in return first?"

Darian nodded. It was easy to negotiate with smart people. Both sides would benefit, but Darian was the one doing all the work. Since he could ask for help from any race, it was natural to want something extra in return.

Darian spoke without emotion. "I’m not gonna make things hard for you. I just want a few universe treasures. If you can give them to me, our deal will be really good for both sides. Or... I can just ask another race."

"Sounds acceptable. Say it. What do you want? I’ll think about it," Galteus asked.

Darian smiled. "I want ten thousand..." Darian listed over twenty types of treasures exclusive to that race, impossible to find anywhere else in the universe except with them. Not only that, he asked for an almost insane amount of each item.

"Are you fucking crazy?! My race can only produce a hundred of each thing every ten thousand years! The materials you’re asking for equal countless years of hard work! You think I’m just gonna hand them over to you?" Galteus mocked.

"Don’t interrupt me. Also, I need two Heavenly Fusion Seeds, at least five million years old each. I know you have three of those, don’t try to fool me." Darian continued.

"What bullshit! My race has only one! It’s our supreme, priceless treasure. I’ve never even seen it myself, and you dare to ask for it? Are you just messing with me now?" Galteus finally snapped and exploded in curses.

Darian scoffed. He had robbed the treasure houses of the Twilight Owl branches before, and they kept secret information there too. Because of that, he was absolutely sure of what the Three-Eyed Raven had or didn’t have. He showed no mercy and basically demanded 80% of their rarest treasures.

As for the Heavenly Fusion Seed, it was something capable of creating a Heavenly Fusion herb every thousand years. Those herbs had bizarre, terrifying abilities. After creating the herb, another even stronger seed would appear, increasing its potential each generation.

Five million years meant that the seed had gone through 5,000 cycles, becoming incomparable. But since there were no capable alchemists in the universe, the Three-Eyed Raven could only use a tiny fraction of its potential. In Veyle’s hands, absurd pills would be born from that.

"Tch, since you don’t want to, whatever." Darian shrugged, turning toward the other people outside.

At that moment, the distant Emperor of the Three-Eyed Raven, who was also on that planet, sent a message to Galteus. He heard it and found it almost unbelievable.

With clenched teeth, Galteus spoke words that left his entire race stunned.

"Fine, I’ll work with you. But if you dare fool my race, I promise you’ll die a miserable death."

"Great. Bring them to me!" Darian turned to him with a slight smile.

"How could I have that many materials with me? I need to get them from the race’s Emperor first. Wait here." Galteus snorted and started leaving that place.

Before leaving, he turned to his subordinates and shouted: "Keep your eyes on him!!"

Everything went silent.

Darian took a deep breath. In his hand, a dagger appeared, then disappeared as if slipping into the void.

Darian knew exactly where the Emperor was on that planet because of karma. So Awel moved to that place in secret, completely undetectable to anyone. After all, Awel was one with the atmosphere.

---

Less than an hour later.

Galteus returned. After gritting his teeth, he shouted, "Darian, the things you asked for are here! If you dare fool me, I swear you’ll regret coming to this world!"

Darian let out a small laugh, then walked to the barrier, approaching Galteus. He received a spatial ring, checking all the contents he had asked for inside.

He almost lost control. With that, he had officially gotten everything of value in that universe.

After checking everything, Darian suddenly lifted his head and laughed. It was a laugh full of malice, and an aura of villainy seemed to radiate from him.

That made Galteus’s and everyone of his race’s expressions change.
