Damned Healer-Chapter 586: Pale Blue Dot
It was the beginning of the day on planet Dharma. At that exact moment, the Celestial Altar at the center of the planet pulsed.
Aurix was standing beside hundreds of powerful figures around the Celestial Altar. When Darian passed through that place for the second time, he left orders for him to prepare everything.
As soon as the return signal appeared, Aurix immediately coordinated the action, and everyone, at the same time, activated several Supreme Artifacts for concealment.
Through an extremely high-level inscription built into the ground, all of those artifacts had their powers linked together, drastically increasing their effectiveness. A huge bubble of energy formed around that area. No kind of fluctuation or detection from the outside could discover what existed inside.
Slowly, everyone began to return through a massive portal. At the front, nearly two thousand Spiritual Guardians from various allied races appeared. After that…
The eyes of Aurix and everyone else inside the inscription almost popped out of their sockets.
"H-how…" Aurix stammered, completely stunned.
One by one, four thousand five hundred immortals appeared before his eyes.
That was, without a doubt, the most absurd and shocking thing he had ever seen in his life… up to that second. He knew very well how difficult it was to accumulate Qi to try to break through and, after that, the terror and despair of facing Celestial Punishment. On top of that, it was still extremely complex to evolve the body enough to be able to withstand it.
But… thousands appearing all at once?
He quickly activated the energy in his body, looking for something wrong with himself, because he was sure he had fallen into an illusion. That couldn't be real.
Then…
After all the immortals came out, Darian appeared calmly, alongside Niara and Alear.
He stepped forward and met Aurix's wide eyes. Then he took a step to the side, and behind him, a figure appeared, exuding a dense and terrifying immortal aura.
"!"
At that instant, Aurix felt his heart stop, and his soul freeze.
Czaza appeared, and more than anyone else, he was absolutely certain that she was not just a simple immortal. All of her power was stable, which could only mean one thing.
"Ancestor," Czaza looked at Aurix and murmured in a tone full of pride, "Sir Darian gave me the opportunity. I didn't disappoint him, and now I'll bring pride back to our race."
Her eyes grew moist. All the others from the Charming Eyes Race present there were also deeply moved.
Darian snorted without saying anything. He had only shown the path and didn't deserve that statement. She had achieved it by her own merit.
The people of that race carried an immense desire to restore the honor of their entire Bloodline. For her to accomplish that with the support of a missionary was the same as receiving the approval of Heaven's Will.
The sins of the entire race throughout the history of the world were immeasurable. Nowadays, everyone was born with a seal, like a curse that limited them. But no one dared to think it was wrong, because the reason had always been told and shown to them by Heaven's Will.
In the rules left behind by Heaven's Will, anyone of the race could see images of the past and receive all the knowledge of the race's history.
They knew very well what the race had done, and how that Queen had enslaved all the universes. It wasn't the act of a single unscrupulous individual. The entire race before her birth lived as if they were the gods of the world. They dominated everything and treated everyone else like insects they could step on; there were countless attempts and conflicts for hegemony across the universes.
The most powerful controlled multiple universes as if they were kingdoms, and waged wars among themselves to see who was greater and superior, all at the cost of the lives of ordinary people. So, that Queen being born and doing what she did was, relatively speaking, expected.
Knowing all of this, in the present day, all of them lived in an absurdly strict manner. They couldn't waste the second chance the entire race had been given, and they would rather die than do something wrong unknowingly; and they would immediately kill anyone they discovered had done even the smallest thing wrong.
For countless years, they had been striving like this, and now, it seemed they had finally received confirmation that they were on the right path. A missionary had come to lead them and was even supporting them directly.
The channel to the other universe closed completely. But now, Darian could return whenever he wanted because of Czaza.
"We don't have much time," Darian said seriously to Aurix. "You and the other two must teach everyone how to control immortal power. And also, I don't want those three to find out about this too quickly."
Aurix snapped out of his daze when he heard that.
In his mind, he quickly understood the immense problem this would cause. If those three Spiritual Sovereigns found out that Czaza had become one of them, they would immediately launch a violent attack to kill her while she still didn't know how to properly use her power.
As for the thousands of immortals, if they found out about that, the reaction would be even worse. After all, throughout their entire existence, they had possibly devoured only a few dozen immortals. Even with so few, they had managed to multiply their power and become what they are.
Now, so many are appearing out of nowhere? Just how strong could they become by devouring them? 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Without a doubt, they would attack immediately and even more viciously, just to relish absorbing them.
The power of the artifacts would only last a few hours. Obviously, those people wouldn't be able to immediately control this new power, but that was easy to solve; it was enough to take them to other universes, outside the enemies' radar.
With that, Aurix began the preparations and quickly summoned Caliris and Painita.
As soon as they arrived and recovered from the absolute shock, they evaluated everyone. Then, Niara opened the channel to the Divine Protection Universe. That was the best place for ordinary immortals to stay without being discovered.
Only Czaza and Aurix returned to the Universe of the Three Deities. There, Czaza would receive his training, as well as further refine her power with the Heavenly Beasts.
There were many techniques and powers related to the Immortal Chaos Essence that the Spiritual Sovereigns could use. As for Niara, Painita had explained before that, since she was a mortal and didn't possess immortal power in her body, she still couldn't use those things.
With everyone leaving, only Darian, Niara, and the twins remained in the Universe of Heaven's Will.
Lucy and Lucius received Darian's help, who temporarily sealed their power using the power of chaos. Since there were only two of them, that didn't pose a problem.
Darian turned to them and then said in a flat tone:
"Let's go. We have to settle this ourselves."
His voice was a calm whisper, but it carried extreme emotional weight. The twins' expressions changed instantly. Hesitation died; in its place, absolute coldness emerged.
The four boarded the flying boat. They tore through space, shooting forward at extreme speed.
In less than an hour, amid the vast black emptiness of space, a pale blue dot appeared on the horizon.
The small planet rapidly grew before them.
Niara took a deep breath, watching the three of them in silence. They stared fixedly at the home that had once cast them out. In the red eyes of each one, the same aura pulsed: a toxic mix of suppressed rage, unbreakable will, and an anxiety that bordered on bloodlust.
They had grown up in hell. They survived a world where everything oppressed them and was potentially dangerous. They were wronged, lost hope, and drowned in the deepest despair.
But the abyss did not swallow them. It forged them.
And now... the day of reckoning had finally arrived.
The flying boat dove into the atmosphere like a meteor, slicing through the clouds in a straight line toward the heart of the continent.
---
In the New Arcadia Empire.
The capital pulsed with the mundane life of millions. People who lived there enjoyed a safe and calm routine, unlike 99% of ordinary humans, smiling and going about their lives. The Spiritual Guardians trained and entertained themselves as usual; everyone's routine remained unchanged.
Until, suddenly, the midday sun went dark.
It wasn't an eclipse. It was as if the light itself was afraid to touch the city. A black, oppressive aura covered everything like a command from darkness.
A sepulchral silence swallowed the streets. The air became heavy, dense like lead, making every breath difficult. The most powerful Spiritual Guardians of the empire stumbled out of their palaces, their faces pale with terror.
They looked up.
There, calmly floating above the skyscrapers, were three figures. Their green hair whipped in the wind, and their red eyes shone in the artificial darkness like bloody moons.
"D-Darian!"
Someone shouted from below, the voice breaking with immediate recognition. The name echoed like a shock through everyone else.
Inside the tallest skyscraper of the Empire, Blaine ran in panic. His fingers trembled as he activated the communication artifacts, summoning the two allied Emperors, as well as the Wube family.
"He's back!" he shouted, but his voice was silenced by a tremor that shook the very foundations of the place.
Then, like a divine thunderclap, a voice filled with rage rang out, not only across that Empire, but across the entire planet.
"From today onward, I declare the end of all Empires of Earth."
The pressure carried by that voice slammed down on the people of the capital like a sledgehammer.
"Every Emperor, every accomplice, every Bloodline stained with blood... you will pay for everything. If anyone has something against this sentence..."
Darian paused midway, the glow in his eyes making it clear that he was hoping for exactly that.
"Come out now and try to stop me."
