Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Demonic Activity

She was right to, the reason the organisation agents were here was for the demon.

However they weren’t here to exercise the demon but the capture it. Demon had mystical abilities that were hard to understand.

There were abilities they shared like telepathy and the ability to create fears through illusions.

Possession was also amongst those abilities but the one the organisation wanted was their ability to track.

Calling it tracking would not be accurate but they can find anybody anywhere unless that person is protected a by being much stronger than them.

For as far as they know, the boy was protected by a young and very weak witch, her cloaking spell should not be able to hide him from a demon.

What they didn’t know was that the boy they were looking for was in the car across the street.

Nancy used her ability to gauge the type of demon inside the house. After confirming its power and nature she drove off.

Of course the demon had also sensed her as it had sensed Adrain and Meggie. The two of them also left.

Left unattended in the house, it entered the dreams of those sleeping inside and started giving them nightmares.

By morning the entire family woke up drained. The teenage daughter was especially moody.

" Mommy." Her little brother called out to their mother.

" Yes sweetie." Her mother answered while not even looking at him.

" There’s a monster in my closet." He said in a soft timid voice. Both their parents sighed and looked at him.

" Monsters aren’t real Cane, there’s nothing in your closet." Their father replied.

Their was more gently but she too dismissed what he had just said but she was different, she was born different.

She could feel energy, around people and even places and she knew something dark and evil lurked in this house.

But as a teenager she also understood telling adults would not help, they would never believe her anyways.

The family continued living in their new house, they had nightmares every night and those nightmares grew worse with each night.

The parents of course dismissed them as mere nightmares but she thought different. If it was one of them perhaps she would dismiss it too but all of them.

She knew what spiritual entity lives here had taken action. Eve, still did not tell her parents what she knew.

Subconsciously she started avoiding their house every chance she got. A week went by and the following week they would start their new schools.

Eve was seventeen and had a licence, so she was the one who would drive her brother to school, not her parents.

On the first day of school, she had to drive her brother to his new school first. While on the road she heard him talking in the back seat.

He sounded like he was having a conversation with somebody. Eve looked and saw nobody.

She grew uneasy but continued driving but her brother didn’t stop talking and laughing.

Eve took a deep breath and looked through the rear mirror, her eyes met pitch black eyes without a spot of white.

" AHHHHHH." She screamed and the car swayed and hit a tree.

Back in the house, Francine was left alone, both her kids and her husband has left either for school or work.

She opened the TV and started blasting music while cleaning. She wanted to thoroughly clean the house before her family came back.

She hated cleaning with people in the house. She started with the kitchen which was simple enough.

While cleaning the sink her wedding ring suddenly fell inside. " Damnit." She reached out to try and grab it.

Before she could however she heard a knock on the door. " Oh God who is it now?" Francine hated visitors.

She was too antisocial, it’s one of the reasons she’s a stay at home wife so she wouldn’t have to interact with others often besides her family.

She went to the door, the moment she left, a single strand of pitch black wet hair came out of the sink then went back in.

Francine opened the door and saw a delivery man standing there. In his hand was a small box and a letter.

" Francine Biden?" The man asked and ate nodded.

" Yes I’m her, What’s this?" She asked taking the box from him.

" Delivery Ma’am." He gave the box and letter, made her sign then he left.

She went back inside and closed the door, she opened the letter first. The letter read.

Dear Biden family, you do not know me but I certainly know you. What I’m about to say will be hard to believe but I ask that you believe it because your lives depend on it.

She frowned, the letter sounded like a threat, she thought about calling the police but continued reading first.

The house your bought, already has an occupant and not one you want to share a room with.

I’m sure you’ve noticed there’s something wrong with that house, you feel like something is there with you. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Perhaps one of your children is seeing things, you’re having nightmares and what not, that’s because it is, something is there and if you don’t do anything, it will consume your entire family.

She got scared, the letter sounded crazy but it terrified her, she continued reading.

In the box are four amulets, each for one of you, wear them at all times, do not take them off no matter what.

While I can’t guarantee they’ll insure your safety, they might buy you enough time for help to arrive. I wish you the best.

The letter ended, there was no return address or any clue on who sent it but it made Francine angry.

She hated people playing pranks on her, she left the box and letter on the table and went back to the kitchen.

Then she saw a stick with a magnet of its tip, this was one of her son’s toys. She took it and used it to retrieve her ring from the sink.

When she was done she went to the basement. The stairs leading down were dark, like a mouth of a beast waiting to devour her.

" Come on Francine, you can’t be scared by a prank." She took out a torch and was about to go down when her phone rang.

" What? Where? Okay I’m coming right now."

She grabbed her keys and ran out the door. When she left, a raspy growl softly echoed down in the basement.
