Plutus didn’t know what to think, his first instinct was to burn Reeva, the guy had been his nuisance since the beginning, lying to the priest, being a demon, and not having any respect for the sun god.
However, the sun god clearly thinks differently.
there must be something that he couldn’t see, something in this heretic that is special enough for the sun god to trust the man. Maybe he was too blinded by anger to see it...
However, the more he thinks about it, the more his faith seems to weaver, or this is a test from god. Plutus could never know... but what he knows now is that Reeva has become something very different to the church.
No longer the heretic he once was but a holy person who carried the word of god.
No matter how he thinks about it, it doesn’t feel right at all.

"What the ...." Plutus couldn’t utter words properly since he was still under stress, but somehow he managed to squeeze these words out. "You’re under the church’s protection now o apostle"
He has to swallow his pride hard on this one, the church rules must come first. It states that he needs to respect the apostle since that person carried the will of the god. However, his body couldn’t stop shaking.
"Thanks! The god above would praise you for your good decision-making!"
The priest didn’t know what kind of face he was making when Reeva smiled at him. Maybe a mix of confusion and fear? or something different, but Reeva still acts casually.
"Hey, don’t make that face! The sun god hasn’t gone insane just yet."
"...." Plutus looked at Reeva again and asked, "Who are you really?"
He couldn’t help it, this guy had something that they all wanted all their life. But Reeva looks like he just casually got it one day.
"Right now I’m the apostle of the sun god, So I have some protection from the sun church right?
".... Sure"
Plutus felt rather light-headed
----------------------
Inside the deep snow snow-covered forest, the dark night made it very hard to see anything around there. A group of people were traveling outside in the dark of night with only one oil lamb leading the way.
It was Brent who was holding the oil lamb and two other people behind him were Klad and Ghaarsh. They were all wearing hoods that concealed their appearance, if not for the oil lamb they would be very hard to know if Brent and his friends were here.
"Is there really anything out here"
Ghaarsh was the first to voice his concern since they had been walking for a while now but there nothing out here other than the forest and the snow-covered ground. It felt like a wasteland out here.
"I’m pretty sure it was around here."
In truth, Brent wasn’t sure either. From what he knows it is only a vague location of going north. So he could only stumble randomly and hope he would find it. His antic starting to become obvious to Ghaarsh.
However, the boy remained silent on this matter since it wasn’t like he didn’t enjoy this. After being in the city for so long, being in the forest gives him the fresh air he lacks. The snow and the forest smell like home to him...
The walk continued for a while before Brent felt like he was not about to find anything. The night grew darkened darker with every turn he made. But he couldn’t find the thing that looked like an abandoned well.
"Is that what you’re looking for?"
The walking was interrupted by Ghaarsh pointing to something deep in the forest, Brent squinted his eyes really hard but it was a blurly dark forest.
"I don’t see anything...."
However, when Brent turns to Ghaarsh he discovers that the guy isn’t there anymore, the white hair boy has already walked off into the dark. Brent shakes his head and walks right behind Ghaarsh.
They walk for another minute before the light from the oil lamp can illuminate what Ghaarsh is walking toward. It was a wooden well covered in snow that they were after.
"This Is it! Thank you Ghaarsh! how did you find it!"
His face beams, looking at the well in all of its abandoned glory.
"Uhm!" Ghaarsh puffs up his chest and says proudly "It’s because this smell is different from the surrounding! this place smells a bit like water but the forest smells like... Forest."
"Your nose is really good!" Brent praise the beast boy another time.
"Thank you!"
And the guy receives it with a smile.
"What do we do now?" Klad said interrupting the good mood a bit. "Is there really a potion in there, it looks like a ghost would pop out any moment now."
"Let’s see..."
Brent goes over and moves a bit of wood that has fallen on top of the well out of the way. The stone foundation of the well stays quite intact despite the wood around it crumbling. Brent peeked his head inside and lowered the oil lamp to check.
There was nothing much, the inside of the stone foundation was stone and a bit downward was some dirt that they dug out to get to the water. Roots from the tree nearby blocked the way but it didn’t block the whole thing. it wouldn’t take much to clear.
"Yep this is the right well, bring the ropes."
For this quest they have brought over a rope, it was brought when they had the time to roam around town a bit. The ropes come with a hook and are sold to be used for mountain climbing.
Brent stretched out the rope a bit to test out the durability one last time then attached it to the side of the well, then made sure it wouldn’t fall when he climbed down.
"Let’s go"
With everything prepared, Brent called the other to follow him. He jumps over the tone donation and grabs the rope to lower himself down. Except for the root of the tree nearby that he had to use his word to cut, the trip down was smoother than Brent expected.
The rope was not faulty and there really was nothing that jumped out of the well. He only hopes this goes well.
