"I’m sorry!" The mother said with a worried voice. "Fina please pick it up faster"
"I’m already done, mom!"
Fina said with a bright smile on her face, her hands rubbing together to wipe off the snow. The mother didn’t mind her antics and galloped the horse to catch up with the rest of the group. But they didn’t go far.
The horse had been running the whole day, their leg was a little wobbly. Escpeallit for some that had to carry the knight, all that weight or armor and supplies really hurt it back. However it couldn’t be asked for a rest, the monster might catch up if they threw a tantrum.
As basic as they are, they still know fear when they experience it.
The sun hung low a the orange hue enveloped the forest. Max look behind them and saw that most of their horse and condition were not looking good. He judged that it was dar enough to call the camp here.
"We’re setting up camp here!"
The monster had already long gone, so setting up the camp was not as dangerous as before. However, they still need to maintain caution. The group dismounted their horse and up them to rest on the side while feeding them some water and a bit of grass.
The people, mainly the knight who suffers some injuries get themself healed with Max who specializes in healing.
Upon learning this Reeva was surprised himself. Priests who specialize in something other than fighting usually didn’t get the recognition. Meaning they form a mystic circle slower than a priest that was fighting the enemies.
Oftentimes, people who got records in books and histories were the ones who led troops and armies against their enemies. More often than not, the people who would go beyond the 4th circle were these types of people.
The healing-type priest still got plenty of appreciation but oftentimes, the person who got healed didn’t even know who the priest was. That’s a large part of why healing priests couldn’t advance faster than battle-type priests.
It gets even worse for other types of priests since they rarely interact with people outside of their priest group. Doom to forever be supporting other priest and helping them build their reputation.
The reason why knowing who to pray to, was because if you are of the sun god religion then praying to the sun god was natural to you. And every prayer will help the sun god gather his mystic power.
However one could also give that power to the priest, although he or she would not get as much mystic power as the sun god. If the person praying was thinking of the hero then that priest would get the mystic.
There’s often the culture of praying to heroes and significant figures of the church. The people were the second most popular guy after the sun god for this reason. You had to be popular first then people would boost you to further heights.
"Thank you, priest"
The guy that had injuries on his legs aid after it was close up. Reeva had seen healing power many times but the priest’s power always felt warm. The wound gently closes up after the touch of a yellow light.
"Now that you’re up and running, go and help set up camp!"
Max said with a smile and the guy quickly thanked him another time and left. Then another person in line replaced him. There were only two healing priests left, so they couldn’t heal all the injuries, only some bad ones that couldn’t be recovered in a short time. So they left the mall one unchecked.
Reeva tried to help them set up the camp but the people just said that they didn’t need help. He could insist on helping but their face looked rather uncomfortable so he left them to do their work. Now he just walked around and pretended that he was checking the situation.
Right then FIna came up to him, she was the little girl that he saved earlier.
"Your holiness... I have something to give you"
Her voice was a little shaky and her cheek was red from embarrassment. Reeva lowered himself to match her level, making it much smoother to have a conversation.
"What do you get for me?"
She looked a bit unsure of herself, so Reeva patted her head a bit since she looked cute. He also noticed that both her hands were behind her back so she was hiding something.
"H....Here.. I made this for you...Mr.apost... Your Holiness"
She finally builds up enough courage to present her gift. It was a red flower crown that was held together by a thing thread.
"For me?"
Reeva pointed at himself
"Yes..." The girl’s voice became more shaky "I’m sorry I couldn’t do better than this..."
"HAha" Reeva’s chuckle made the girl shink, she thought that he was making fun of her "Don’t worry, it’s the most beautiful flower crown I’ve got"
"Really!?" The girl’s face beamed up
"An apostle wouldn’t lie" Technically this was the first flower he had received in both lives. But he didn’t need to know that.
"I’m glad you like it! Do you want another one? I still have lots of flowers left!"
She got excited after hearing that the apostle liked her flowers. She would like to run back and tell her mother right now but, her mom told her to respect the apostle.
"I would love to have another one but there are people who deserve this more than me,"
Reeva pointed at Lemire who’s receiving an exclusive healing priest to stabilize his condition. The girl almost slap her face when she thought about it.
"I forgot! I’ll be right back Mr.apostle... no, your holiness!"
"You don’t need to call me that if you’re uncomfortable"
"Can I call you Mr. Apotle won’t that be disrespectful?’
"You got me this flowers crown, so it should be fine" Reeva smiles, she could see the yellow fog clearly pouring out of her body.
