Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 279: Merge
Reeva’s eyes widen, the mother should have already been disconnected with the green gem when he punched it out. However, the vines that embrace the shiny gem seem to disagree with him.
His demon’s body roars into action again. He dashed after the green gem that still took time to envelop itself in vines. He arrived just before it could cover itself all the way, his hand balled again and punched the vines.
The vines crackled at the force of his fist, however unlike last time, his hand didn’t reach the green gem, instead he was met with more and more vines. Reeva pulled his hand out, ready to punch the vine another time but as soon as he pulled out, the vines began to tremble.
The grey vines open countless eyes on its body. Reeva’s heart skipped a beat, and he quickly retreated out of sight. But he wasn’t fast enough, so he needed to use his power to turn the mystic power into his own.

"Run!"
Reeva turned back to the people who were marching with him, the vine opening its eyes could only mean one thing. It had already merged with another fragment of itself. The mother had split her ability into different parts and all of it got the vine control ability to move around.
The vines continue to assault Reeva, this time attacks were more ferocious than before. The demon mode Reeva Punched the vines off with his mystic power, but the endless amount of vines that Mother controlled now was overwhelming. To the point that Reeva couldn’t handle everything anymore.
The vine tried its hardest to penetrate Reeva’s body and he could only try his best to defend against it. However, with his fighting experience, he could never do it... He even doubted anyone in his position could do it.
His shoulder, neck, stomach, arms, and legs were all the places where the vines tried to break through his defense. But a perfect demon body distributes mystic power equally. If not for the mystic power inside his body, he would have been dead.
Reeva felt pain all over his body his mystic power didn’t numb his pain in any way so the attack was rather effective.
"Why don’t you try pulling me, it seems to work before?"
The mother’s voice crackled through the vines. It was sarcasm, but fighting a merged mother left Reeva with nothing but bad feelings. Even when he broke one of the diamonds, the mother had scattered so many that she was unlikely to lose all of her power.
The vine surrounds Reeva on all sides. His gaze flew around the enclosure, looking for an escape route, but the mother would not make such a rookie mistake. The grey vines around him began to crackle, as innumerable eyeballs opened from all angles.
Reeva didn’t need to time his use of mystic power because the mystic force released from the eyeballs was already upon him. This practically locked his body in place, since he required time to process the magical power. If Reeva had been fighting a human mystic user, this would not have occurred because their mystic strength was usually limited.
However, Reeva was fighting something other than a typical human. Even when he does nothing, the numerous eyes fixate on him. It simply stared at him with mystic force. If he stopped using his powers, he would be twisted in no time. The snow surrounding him spun like a tornado, twisting in horrifying ways.
He was certain that this was his fate because his capacity for mystic power was nearing its limit. Reeva could easily convert the mystic of the eyes, but releasing it from his body at the same time required a lot of work and was a technique Reeva hadn’t yet mastered.
And if Reeva’s mystic power was full then, he wouldn’t be able to control any more power. Thus he couldn’t convert any more mystics. ending his life under the mystic eyes. It was a rather better plan than he expected from the mother, he thought that the vines would ue the civilians to make him submit.
But it turned out that the mother was significantly more strong than he had imagined. His foot clawed at the snow beneath him, attempting to clear it. According to what he’d seen, the vine was just not present underground.
At this point, he needed a moon shot theory to survive this attack, and escaping underground seemed like suicide because it was where the vine excelled however, it was the only place the vine didn’t cover. His feet reach the dirt with his demon physic but then he has to make a move.
His mystic power was filling up fast, so with one sweep of the twirling snow, the white dust flew everywhere, blocking the eyes for a split second. He had reached underground and pulled the dirt off, continuing to blind the eyes from his activity.
However, just as he was about to dig down, Reeva considered breaking through the vines surrounding him. After a split second, though, he realized the vines forming the dome were likely far thicker than they appeared. Abandoning the idea, he resumed digging.
With just one scoop he was able to dig out a massive hole. His body power plus the mystic property made digging rather easy. Reeva dug up the earth like a mole rat he quickly traveled underground, as fast as digging one place and crawling through that space would go.
After traveling a short distance underground, Reeva stopped and focused on the green gem in his possession. He channeled his mystic power into it, and the vines began to reveal themselves. Some lingered on the surface, while others twisted beneath the ground. Thankfully, they no longer seemed to be chasing him
Reeva sighed and grinned, knowing that he had already done everything he could to help the people. Aside from that, they would be left to their own devices. Of course, this is not what a normal Reva would do, but the demon had had enough.
They needed to survive to create more joy after all.
