Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 286: Athan
"Sir apostle!"
Reeva arrives with the rest of the saint’s party, the group of priests and knights from the saint party, and civilians protecting them. Reeva couldn’t help but feel happy when he saw the people, some of them were lying unconscious because of the twisting flesh they got.
The person who saw him first was Quin, who was in the best condition because Max had healed him. On the other hand, the healing priest was not in good condition.
"Thank the sun god that you’re alive"
"Me too...." Reeva said, "Sorry for abandoning you guys..."
A sad smile appeared on his face, if not for Nena, he would never seen any of them again.
"Don’t be, an apostle was far more valuable than our lives" Quin answered honestly, he may be a good priest for the church but there were more people like him while on the other hand, Reeva was the sole apostle.
"Your life was not more valuable than mine," Reeva said, honestly. Even though he had taken lives before, it was not the same.
"Thank you sir apostle" Quin bowed his head deeply, to be cared for so much by the god’s chosen was a blessing.
Saint, Nena, and the other guy watch on, ready to act. If Reeva had done something weird she would have chopped his head off but, that moment never came. They only saw Reeva a normal-looking priest, being grateful that the people he was trying to protect were still alive.
"Looks like our job was done here! Let’s go home!"
Nana couldn’t wait for her showers, it would be legendary!

Glink Glcink
The sound came from a white coat that was draped over a man. A man with a scar on his lips. He felt the vibration after the sound, and his hand reached into the coat pouch where the sound was coming from and smiled.
He looked around the cave where they were staying and quietly excused himself outside. He walked along the snowfield, completely alone without any tribesman around. After a while, he came across the thing that he was looking for. A corsp of a twisted deer... No, the deer was still breathing but without the mother, it was simply a living flesh devoid of purpose
Stopping right in front of the deer, he takes out the thing from his coat. It was a glass tube that housed something a little curious. A little green gem.
"You change your mind?" Athan smiled looking at the stone. However, it didn’t answer with a voice but with a fluctuation of the glow. It dimed and glowed for exactly one time each.
"I told you, this wouldn’t happened if you had come under me long ago" Athan sighed "Whatever, better late than never I guess."
"Swear the mystic oath," Athan said, his eyes locked into the green gem. The thing tried to bargain with him but there was no point. She could not talk anymore, she could only dim and shine again in the exact sequence that they agreed. After a bit of time, the light finally shined for the final time.
Its light was far bigger than before. The mystic oath had been signed by herself to Athan, forever locking her with him. Then he opened the lid and let the tone outside.
The green gem touches the deer’s body, and then the animal’s body slowly turns into a bundle of vines.
"Repeat the oath again" Athan ordered her.
"Why?"
"Just checking, that offer was so long ago and I already forgot its content. I only did this because I trusted myself in the past. Besides you have no choice"
"I will obey every command you gave me" It was a simple mystic oath with many loopholes to exploit the other party but Athan didn’t care. He could never died anyway.
"Yep, that’s what I remember too... Maybe I should trust myself more" Athan mile after hearing what they agreed on it’s so very simple. "Alright, your first task was to find the Book of Earth. It should be around the north somewhere, Go."
The vine crackled a bit before disappearing into the earth.
"Who are you talking to?"
A voice sounded from behind, jolting Athan’s senses. He turned to look at her with calm eyes, trying to act as normal as he could.
"I’m just talking to myself, time did that to a person sometime..." Atahn said, "Also why are you here?"
"We will be having a dinner, come"
Hilda raised her eyebrows at Athan, she had a bit of suspicion but talking to oneself was believable, it was not the wildest thing Athan did either she was inclined to believe it. However, just looking at his face she wanted to slice him in half again but at some point, she learned that it just wasted her time.
She left Atahn alone again, the guy could only smile watching the maid from the back.

"What!?"
Holen the two knights couldn’t comprehend what the kid just said. They had different images of what tribes people would act like however, they didn’t expect to see one asking for their help.
"I would like to see the empire! Everyone always said that they’re super scary but I don’t believe such! If they’re super scary then they would have won long ago! So I want to prove them wrong by going to the empire!"
Jell couldn’t help but look at Holen to talk. After all the detective was the best among them and their leader. The knight was clueless about how to deal with the situation. Oven also subtly looked at Holen to answer the kid.
The detective sighed.
"Do you even have your parent’s permission?"
"Y...Yes of course!" The kid stammered "If my parents didn’t agree I would be here..."
"Right...." Holen almost shook his head at how the kid acted, however just as he was about to send the kid back he got an idea. "Do you know that way to the empire, kid?"
"I know every nook and cranny of this jungle!" That kid answered with a bright smile.
"Then I will let you come with us if you could lead us out of the tribe territories"
"I could do that!" The kid also answered that with excitement.
Holen smiled, he felt a bit guilty using the kid as a guide but just a little though. Oven looked at Holen with judging eyes however he also didn’t say anything. After all, he was the one that got them into this position in the first place.
"Why do you want to go mister?"
"Right now," Holen said.
"Wait but I haven’t packed my thing yet! Also, I needed to say goodbye to my parents first..."
"We are in a hurry, it’s either now or never"

The kid looked troubled, he switched between Holen and looking somewhere in the forest. For him, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity because for all his life this was the first time he saw an empire’s people. He needed to take this chance!
"OK, we could go now!"
"Let help the horse out first" Holen suggested. oven almost forgot his horse! He looked at the pit trap that the horse fell inside. It was not big enough for the whole horse but it was enough for the horse’s front leg to be half submerged.
It screamed and tugged itself, trying to get out of the trap but the snow was keeping it locked in place. Oven was the first to check on his horse and the other follows.
"I’m gonna get you off of there buddy" He rubbed his horse head "Help me"
The three of them pushed the horse out of the hole with a bit of difficulty, the snow from the environment had fallen on it making it a bit harder to push the horse out. They had to clear the way before finally getting to see the beast’s full body.
Oven’s face was filled with sadness expecting the horse to be cripple after falling into such a trap however after they pulled it out, the horse looked rather fine if you didn’t count the bruise.
"The trap was deep?"
He said, examine the trap that his horse fell into.
"Oh yeah that was for catching Elkut," The boy said "It was designed to keep it from flying up so it’s a little deep. Your horse was quite lucky"
Oven hugged the side of his majestic horse and felt the hair brushed against his face. There’s a bit of snow too but he didn’t care right now. He proceeded to check if there was more thing wrong with his horse or not and fortunately, it only suffered a bit of damage.
"Let’s go then, we don’t have much time. Kid, what’s your name?"
"My name is Kanku!" The kid answered with a smile like before, excited to see the empire.
"I’m Holen, that guy is Jell and that horse maniac is Oven"
"I heard that!" Oven yelled at HOlen for such an introduction
"Hop on Jell’s horse, we will get going now" The detective ignored the knight and waited for Kanku to hop onto the horse.
"Which way was the empire?"
"That way!" Kanku pointed at the high mountain
