Chapter 464: Chapter 464: Black-Eyed Demon

"Xiaoqi, I’m leaving." Fu Tianji found himself by the seaside.

"We just became friends, why do you have to leave?" Xiaoqi’s grip tightened, and his eyes were full of sadness.

"I need to find someone, someone very important to me," Fu Tianji said.

"Then I’ll go with you, I can help you find them," Xiaoqi immediately said.

Fu Tianji looked at Xiaoqi’s small stature, and those frail arms and legs, then shook his head: "You should stay where you belong."

Saying so, Fu Tianji stood up, glanced around, chose a direction, and started walking.

He didn’t know where he was headed, nor who he was searching for, but a strong conviction inside urged him to find that person.

Xiaoqi, silent, followed behind Fu Tianji, the larger and smaller figures walking along the beach, the morning light reflected on the shimmering waves, casting a dawn gloss over their forms.

"Go back, my path is too dangerous for you," Fu Tianji turned to look at Xiaoqi.

But Xiaoqi said nothing, silently trailing behind Fu Tianji.

Fu Tianji walked, Xiaoqi followed; Fu Tianji stopped, Xiaoqi halted.

Fu Tianji said no more, simply continued forward.

"Once she’s tired of walking, she won’t follow anymore," Fu Tianji was focused only on finding that person, uninterested in other matters.

But despite the distance traveled, Xiaoqi persisted, silently keeping pace, showing no inclination to abandon the pursuit.

Fu Tianji could only quicken his pace; he needed to find someone, and that person wasn’t Xiaoqi.

With Fu Tianji’s faster pace, Xiaoqi had no choice but to run desperately, though she couldn’t possibly match Fu Tianji’s speed, soon watching his figure grow distant, irretrievable despite her efforts.

"Little Eight..." Xiaoqi wanted to call out to Fu Tianji, but the figure had vanished beyond her sight.

"Why does no one want to be with me..." Xiaoqi collapsed weakly on the sandy ground, murmuring with confusion.

"Isn’t this Xiaoqi? How did you end up here? Haven’t we told you, trash like you aren’t allowed in our city’s area?" Several boys approached, encircling Xiaoqi with mischievous intent.

These boys were all tall and strong, with heads full of white hair and eyes a shade of violet.

If Chen Guan were here, he could instantly recognize these as demonic children.

Xiaoqi seemed to be a demon too, except her eyes weren’t violet, but rather the ordinary black seen in humans.

In truth, Xiaoqi was indeed a demon, but considered an innate reject among demons.

Only demons with violet eyes inherit strong talents and abilities.

Black-eyed demons lack not only the demons’ hardiness, appearing extremely weak, but their talents are also notably poor.

Demon children born like this are at least Level 31, undergoing the Fourth Awakening, with some exceptionally talented reaching the Fifth or even Sixth Sense at birth.

Yet, for black-eyed demons like Xiaoqi, they are often only at the lowest Level 31 from the start, with poor talents, alien elemental energy, secret collections, and frequently fail to awaken their Lifebound Star.

Such demon children are directly abandoned, left to survive or perish in the wild.

This situation usually results from mixed lineage between demons and human cultivators.

Offspring of two demons are almost always violet-eyed.

But offspring of demons and human cultivators have a chance of being non-violet.

Nevertheless, many demons continue to reproduce with human cultivators, as demons have very low fertility, making the involvement of human cultivators crucial for the survival of their kind, preventing their destruction by humans.

Xiaoqi is one such hybrid demon, naturally rejected black-eyed.

Upon discovering Fu Tianji, she eagerly sought his company because, like her, Fu Tianji also possessed black eyes.

Here, black eyes are seen as alien.

The demon boys’ eyes glinted with cruel intent.

"Break her limbs, let her crawl out like a bug. Give her a lesson, make her realize that such a place isn’t for rejected trash like her to come..." A demon boy’s suggestion was immediately agreed upon by the others.

Demons are born evil, absolutely not a matter of subjective misunderstanding.

Seeing the demon boys reach for her, Xiaoqi’s eyes filled with terror. She struggled desperately, trying to escape, but how could she possibly fight the demon boys?

Violet-eyed demons possess far superior physical talents to black-eyed ones, not to mention these boys were a few years older.

Soon, the demon boys had pinned Xiaoqi’s limbs and head, her struggles and screams were in vain.

One demon boy, eyes alight with cruel excitement, swung a punch at Xiaoqi’s arm.

Bang!

That demon boy’s head exploded, spattering all with blood and pulp.

"Little Eight..." As the headless corpse fell, Xiaoqi spotted a figure entering her view, her face brimming with joy.

"Human... daring to kill on our demon turf... you’re dead..." Far from fearful, the other demon boys fiercely charged at Fu Tianji.

Strange masks appeared on their faces, their bodies transforming, wielding terrifying power against Fu Tianji.

Fu Tianji summoned a Profound Iron Mace and a Golden Melon Hammer from thin air, wielding them like a tempest, in moments smashing the boys’ heads to bits.

Blood sprayed, brain pulp scattered.

"Little Eight..." Xiaoqi showed not a hint of fear, her eyes full of Fu Tianji, sensing something never felt before.

"Follow me," Fu Tianji turned to leave, only to find a masked, incredibly robust white-haired man standing ahead.

Rising to follow Fu Tianji, Xiaoqi froze upon seeing the white-haired man, terror filling her eyes.

"Little Eight... run..." Xiaoqi recognized this man as the Demon City’s Law Enforcement Captain, a being feared even by demons.

"You cannot escape," the Law Enforcement Captain coldly remarked at Fu Tianji, puzzled by the human’s presence.

But it mattered not, for to him, this human was as good as dead.

Fu Tianji, silent, steadily advanced towards the Law Enforcement Captain; aside from finding that person, all other matters seemed inconsequential.

Determined not to waste more time than necessary, he sought to solve the problem as swiftly as possible.

Bang!

Fu Tianji stood before the demon Law Enforcement Captain, the Profound Iron Mace striking his head with unbelievable speed.

Celestial Gate Left-Hand Saber, a secret skill of unfathomable swiftness.

But the Secret God Level Profound Iron Mace merely caused the Law Enforcement Captain’s head to tilt slightly.

The Law Enforcement Captain, tilting his head, coldly stared at Fu Tianji, nudging the mace atop his head straight once more, unfazed by Fu Tianji’s power.

Bang!

The Law Enforcement Captain moved, punching Fu Tianji in the chest, caving it in deeply, sending Fu Tianji flying heavily to the ground.

"Trash human." The Law Enforcement Captain glanced at Fu Tianji sprawled on the ground, eyes filled with disdain and contempt.
