Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 681 - 388: Why Won’t You Admit Me
"Roar!"
Even though he couldn’t avoid the attack, Noah showed no sign of weakness, wielding his Dragon Claw, spraying black Demonic Blood.
Noah knew his strengths and weaknesses. Compared with the Hell Titan before him, the techniques he had honed were naturally the weaker aspect. Yet, being in the Material Realm was his greatest advantage.
This Titan’s every move seemed to brim with immense blood energy, as if possessing real blood and flesh. But all he had now was supplied by the Gate of Hell.
These were his two fatal weaknesses: seemingly powerful body, which actually couldn’t compare to Noah’s Ancestral Golden Dragon body; and the Gate of Hell, as long as it’s destroyed, hell’s will, no matter how mighty, couldn’t project power into the Material Realm with complete protective rules.
Injuring the enemy a thousand times costs oneself eight hundred.
This was Noah’s carefully weighed strategy. Of course, it should be the other way around, but even if it cost him a thousand, Noah could withstand it.
More importantly, in this battlefield where killing intent was everywhere, Noah also felt a pressure he hadn’t experienced in a long time. His techniques were also breaking through.
"Roar~ Again!"
Dragon Wings were broken, and the Dragon Body was pierced all over. At this moment, Noah’s appearance was incredibly tragic. This was arguably the fiercest battle he’d fought since coming of age.
Unlike the battle with the Flame Sun Sovereign, Noah’s exemption wasn’t high, and the Demonic Qi from hell was eroding Noah’s flesh, attempting to corrupt and assimilate him.
Unfortunately, Noah’s ancestral bloodline was burning and boiling under the invasion of Hell’s Power, resisting and obliterating all impurities and evil power.
Noah was adapting to this battle, getting used to the attack method of the Hell Titan, drawing experience from each of his strikes to fortify and adjust his Dragon Techniques.
As an opponent, this Hell Titan’s presence was exceedingly precious to Noah. Had it not been for the opponent’s intent to kill, this could be seen as a tremendous opportunity.
"Why don’t you acknowledge me? In what way am I inferior to him?"
A spear thrown, pinning Noah in the Void, the body of the Hell Titan bleeding black blood walked over, asking a question filled with obvious unwillingness and confusion.
"Whatever he can give you, I can give tenfold, a hundredfold. Why won’t you accept me?"
"Because you’re not my foster father; you’re just a shameless impostor!"
Noah extended a Dragon Claw, gripping the Thunder Spear condensed from inky Power of Destruction, exerting a slight force, causing the fearsome Spear of Destruction to shatter and dissolve under his claw.
"You disappoint me! I intended to appoint you as the Guardian of Tartaros, sharing glory with me, but you foolishly rejected me, not even willing to call me father."
"Laughable lies, you’re inferior to the lowest demon."
Noah lunged again toward the Hell Titan, seen from a distance as if a terrifying Giant Divine being were engaging in a world-ending battle with a destructive Dragon God.
"My foster father never promised such laughable lies."
"Shut up!"
Clearly, as a derivative of the main will, his greatest taboo was anything related to the main entity. Noah’s words always struck precisely at the heart of this Hell Titan.
"Your birth is laughable, why do you go along such a laughable destiny? Why don’t you resist and become yourself?
You haven’t disguised well at all; your appearance is like a circus monkey trying to mimic humans."
"Noah, you are abysmal, but as I said, even if you detest it, what can you change? I am Casius, no one can deny, everyone must acknowledge!"
The Hell Titan’s expression was indifferent as he noticed the dragon before him honing his techniques using his power, but he didn’t care.
"I will never acknowledge."
Noah expressed his will. How could he acknowledge such a thing? Even if he became the Lord of Hell, Noah wouldn’t bow his head.
"Then perish now!"
The terrifying light of destruction shot into the sky as dark Thunder ripped the sky apart. The Dark Titan, gradually infuriated by Noah, lost his patience and abandoned the recruitment plan.
Though he truly wanted to take this Ancestral Golden Dragon under his wing, clearly, the opponent’s Dragon Clan arrogance refused to acknowledge his legitimacy and rightful status.
Since that was the case, he’d have to wipe out all discordant voices.
"You can’t kill me!"
In a battlefield of interwoven Thunder and Flame, harsher than any purgatory, Noah, sensing his elevation reached a certain threshold, naturally cast his gaze toward the Gate of Hell.
He could hurt this Hell Titan, but under the inexhaustible energy supply from the Gate of Hell, he couldn’t destroy this Titan unless he could destroy the fake Titan in an instant.
But that’s impossible. Not even Noah, even True God incarnates as Saint descending to the Lower Realm, couldn’t swiftly eliminate a Titan, as its own risk would be immense.
This Hell Titan wasn’t exaggerating; his position was elevated to an extremely terrifying level, already very close to the position of Lord of Tartaros.
Thus, even if similarly summoned and descended to the Material Realm, his performance was different from many evil god lords who didn’t dare to meet his gaze.
However, with such a vast weakness as the Gate of Hell, Noah was provided the opportunity to triumph; he didn’t need to destroy the projection, just the Gate of Hell—the projection couldn’t be destroyed.
Upon realizing Noah’s intention, the Hell Titan, though furious, was helpless since this ultimately wasn’t hell, too many restrictions.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t need to seek this foster child’s opinion, simply capture and throw him into the sea of hell’s origin, forcibly transform him.
Regardless of willingness, once transformed into the Demon Dragon, non-acknowledgment wouldn’t matter.
"Noah, I will never give up on you. One day, you’ll understand me!"
Though he tried his best to protect, even the Hell Titan couldn’t completely block an Ancestral Golden Dragon’s attack in the Material Realm. Thus, the Gate of Hell grew increasingly fractured, teetering. The once nearly unbeatable Titan began showing problems.
"Nor will I give up on you. One day, I’ll step into hell!"
Noah gazed intently at the Titan with black hair flying and eyes black as an abyss, word by word, making a promise.
"Laughable, do you think he is still there?"
Seeing Noah solemnly make a promise, the Hell Titan felt no joy, only anger, as he knew who the words were addressed to.
This was the emotion and recognition he desired to obtain by all means, yet the other side showed it all before him without sparing him any.
"You are afraid?"
"Want to come to hell? I’ll wait for you!"
The Hell Titan didn’t argue further with Noah. With a slight turn, he instantly crumbled, transformed into a sky full of Thunder storm clouds, spreading across the horizon, forming a terrifying Thunderstorm, sweeping the sky and the earth, cleansing all life except Noah, extracting thousands upon thousands of souls.
Under Noah’s gaze, the Abyss Gate, half-repaired, collapsed loudly, turning into a field of pale bones, becoming useless ruins, as the souls playing a key role within were extracted.
It was a plundering, a weakening for the Material Realm.
Nonetheless, even so, Noah looked up at the sky where sunshine was newly sprinkling, slightly squinting his Dragon Eyes, revealing a chilly tone. This catastrophe that was supposed to sweep across the continent had been suppressed and pacified by him. Though the process wasn’t pleasant, the outcome was still satisfactory.
