Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 710 - 403
"Outrageous, it’s truly outrageous! How could such a thing happen!"
"Those damn savages, they do not obey our orders, and they are brazenly starting wars. We can’t just sit back and do nothing."
"Obey orders? Obey what orders? They don’t even see Her Majesty the Queen! Nor do they regard us as the Royal Family."
"This is our Sainfeiren, not the savages’ Sainfeiren!"
"Indeed, we must let them know whose Royal Court this really is, and whose territory it belongs to!"
In the Wind Song Spirit Pavilion of the Silver Moon Royal Court, belonging to the Elf Royal Family, many tall, ageless, seemingly flawless High Elves gathered together.
The intertwining of gold and silver, representing the sun and the moon, signifies the highest bloodline of the elves and is the pride and honor of the High Elves here.
However, it is quite regrettable that the gold and silver, which once symbolized glory and noble status, are now recognized by no other elf group but themselves.
Setting aside the rebellious crimson Fallen, and the lower tribes that disregard the elf glory, even the many foreign tribes that have arrived due to the grace of the Divine do not acknowledge their status, nor accept their orders and arrangements.
Of course, it is not a complete denial, the Wandering Elf Tribe, guided by the Divine, acknowledges the power of the High Elves but refuses to accept the Royal Court’s ambitions to rule them.
Power comes from strength. In the past, the power and status of High Elves as the Royal Family also came from their bloodline, but the latter is no longer recognized.
Though many Wandering Elf Tribes guided by the Divine lack the strength to confront the Royal Court.
Yet there are major tribes among them that have Legendary Elves, and these tribes, having survived harsh conditions, have far superior individual average strength and high-level combat experience compared to the Royal Court Elves who have long lived in comfort and peace.
If it was during the initial days, the Royal Court could still suppress the incoming elves with their high-level combat power. But as the number of incoming elves increased and their overall strength surpassed that of the Royal Court Elves, the Royal Authority that the High Elves of the Royal Court longed for and sought to rebuild vanished, and they could not command any of the Wandering Elf Tribes.
These Wandering Elf Tribes, having survived in perilous environments, highly value their independence and autonomy. Especially after learning about the past history of the Silver Moon Royal Court, they resist being ruled.
The Wandering Elves are not entirely opposed to having a group of command-givers above them. They are wild, but not stupid.
A ruler who can provide a stable and ordered place to live, possesses powerful force that ensures the safety of the old, weak, women, and children, and has excellent and far-reaching vision, how many would resist such a ruler?
But the problem is that the Silver Moon Royal Court is not such a ruler. These fellows, who pride themselves on their noble bloodline, occupy the best palaces and resources without producing anything, yet consume and take excessively. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Those who order with arrogance, looking up at the sky, clearly just want to ride on their backs, sucking their blood and harvesting their labor’s gains.
Such a decayed, fallen, exploitative, short-sighted, and ignorantly foolish ruler, how many would accept?
The guidance of the Divine never mentioned coming here to be slaves for another group of elves; if such an oracle really existed, there would be only one choice.
Simply change their faith.
For these tribes, already in wandering, whose primary purpose is survival, if the Divine they worship do not alleviate their hardships but instead give more suffering, there would be only one choice left: to abandon them.
"Why are you looking at me?"
When she noticed several gazes simultaneously falling upon her, Parvati, maintaining a youthful appearance, remained impassive and her expression cold as a blade.
"Parvati, you are the Great Governor of the Royal Court. You have the responsibility and duty to make that group of savages submit to the Royal Court’s rule, to re-establish the Royal Family’s dignity and prestige."
Upon hearing Parvati’s cold reaction, a Silver Moon Elf Elder immediately reprimanded her.
"That’s right, we have given you unlimited rights and the greatest support, but look at what you have done? A group of foreign savages regard us as nothing, the dignity of the Royal Family has vanished."
"You have been given the highest power of the Royal Court, yet you have accomplished nothing. When the Evernight Catastrophe occurred, you clearly had a chance to stop it.
But in the end, you failed to kill that filthy Blood Clan, and even allowed him to seduce and take away those tribes originally loyal to the Royal Court."
It’s always about comparison. Compared to the current Wandering Elf Tribes occupying lands and forests but ignoring their orders, and even looting surroundings, those middle and lower elf tribes, who were diligent as long as a small benefit was given in exchange for their gratitude, seemed perfect before the rebellion.
Those were the kind of subjects the Royal Court should have had, not those uncultured savages who do not know how to respect and uphold the dignity of the Royal Family.
"Look at what you’ve done?"
"No, she has done nothing, but instead made everything worse."
In the face of the current decadent situation, Parvati, who was once greatly anticipated by many High Elves as a Natural Demigod, inexplicably became the target of criticism and reproach among many High Elf Elders.
