Shao Xia, who was following Xie Daiyu, had no idea that Chief Xie was determined to make things difficult for her and her family. She came to a stop in front of Xie Daiyu, who frowned when he saw her blocking him.

He was in a hurry to see Ruan Chanchan, and getting blocked by Shao Xia ruined his mood.

Shao Xia raised her head and looked at Xie Daiyu.
Xie Daiyu was taller and much stronger than the little fox with whom she was staying at the moment. Though the fox was good in bed and even knew how to make her happy, after the novelty had passed, Shao Xia could not help but yearn for Xie Daiyu. After all, the two of them spent countless years together before Xie Daiyu was killed by a beast. How could she not have any affection for him? It was Xie Daiyu’s fault that he was too stubborn.

She was still speaking when the mer twisted around on his feet, caught her by her arm, and threw her over his shoulder. His expression was colder than the snow in winter, and he was glaring at her like she had killed his father.

Xie Daiyu lowered his head and looked at his feet that were on top of Shao Xia, and then slowly raised his head and looked up at Ruan Chanchan, who was staring at him, with a terrified expression.
