Chapter 629: Chapter 629. Assessment 2

Kailen entered the assessment room.

The moment he entered the assessment room, an AI voice rung in the room.

A holographic screen appeared before him.

[ Welcome, Mr Karag Anvilheart.

Kindly choose your Assessment Type.

Registration with the Runesmith Association.

Rank Advancement Assessment ]

Kailen selected the first option.

Another holographic screen popped up.

[ Would you like to proceed with the assessment publicly as set by default? ]

Kailen didn’t really care about that. He simply nodded.

Another holographic display popped up.

[ Make any runic substance befitting your runemsithery level. Rune skill proficiency must be above sixty for a pass ]

Kailen simply nodded.

As the audience outside, waiting for him to make a full of himself, and the man who had accompanied him here for the test, including Legoland who had headed to this floor several moments ago to spectate Kailen’s assessment, were watching—Kailen got to work.

A t-shirt appeared before Kailen. It was floating before him.

Kailen waved his hand. His movement was fluid and natural, that of an expert.

Runic alphabets glimmered to life.

They shone with ethereal brilliance as they converged together on the surface of the ordinary t-shirt Kailen had taken out of his secret realm.

The t-shirt glowed preternaturally for a while until the glowing receded a moment later.

Karag Anvilheart stood still after this.

Those outside were just looking at the holographic screens before them.

" He’s done?"

" What the hell? Is he too fast or is he an amateur?" Someone said.

" No idiot. I don’t know what he did to that t-shirt, but watch carefully. This feels like pure skill"

" It’s either that or he’s an amateur who gave up"

During this period, Legoland was silent. He had a smug smirk at the edge of his lips.

These people were in for a shock. Amateur? Kailen? Heh.

The man who had led him here for the assessment, however, had narrowed his eyes. He was a more experienced runesmith. So naturally, he knew Karag Anvilheart was not an amateur. His understanding of runesithery was definitely deep, and the runic alphabets he had used for what he did seemed complex and intricate, yet strangely simple. Who the hell was this guy?

Just when the person who said he’s an amateur spoke, an appraisal artifact hovering in the assessment room scanned the t-shirt.

[ Rank 7 illusion rune Inscribed Artifact. Made by Rank 7 Runesmith Karag Anvilheart. Rune skill Proficiency 93.94.

Congratulations to rank 7 Runesmith Karag Anvilheart. You have been registered with the Runesmith Association ]

The audience staring at the holographic screen had become silent.

They saw that Karag Anvilheart simply nodded at the outcome. It was as if he was expecting this.

This...

Had they really laughed at and underestimated a runesmith prodigy?

Wait... didn’t that mean this guy was a monster on another level compared to Mistborne when it came to rune skill Proficiency?

Mistborne was a rank 8 runesmith. And Karag Anvilheart was a rank 7 runesmith. However, when it came to rune skill proficiency, Anvilheart had a rune skill Proficiency of 93.94, bothering towards 94, whereas Mistborne had a rune skill proficiency of 90.

Didn’t this mean that when Karag became a rank 8 runesmith, he would wipe the floor with Mistborne?

Where the hell did this monster appear from?

Legoland was not shocked. He had expected this. He was calm.

The person who called Anvilheart an amateur had a red face. He felt so embarrassed. He wanted to hide himself in a hole somewhere.

An amateur?

If this guy was an amateur, then what were the rest of them? Toddlers?

The staff in the black suit widened his eyes in surprise. He also had a very gleeful expression on his face. His eyes looked like he was a fanatic.

A monster. This Karag Anvilheart was a monster.

Of course, he was not on the level of that former Arbiter, Kailen Darkhaven. After all, that guy was not someone to be viewed in the lens of other geniuses. He was a once in a while anomaly that appeared in the universe after all.

But Karag Anvilheart was a rare gem.

How many geniuses had such a high rune skill Proficiency?

" I’m getting a promotion very soon. As long as he fulfills the requirements for entering the Imperial Capital, I’m getting a promotion, alongside the receptionist"

At this moment, Kailen was sighing inwardly inside the assessment room. "To think trying to reduce my rune skill Proficiency will only bring it down to 93 and something percent. Sigh.. Well, it’s not too exceptional and it’s not too bad right?"

If anyone had heard him say this out loud, they would have choked him to death?

Not too exceptional?

The time Dilation artifact appeared around him.

" Humble bragging again?" She almost knocked him on the head. However, the drama she was watching in the shadow expanse had reached its climax. She disappeared, after making crunching sounds.

Kailen shook his head. "She’s always eating. Also what did she mean about him humble bragging. Nevermind"

He came out of the assessment room.

The moment he came out, those outside who had been observing his performance had changed their looks completely.

" This guy was a monster all along"

" We really underestimated him"

" If only we had not audibly trash talked him, maybe we could have tried to strike some friendship with him"

" Sigh.. Indeed. We messed up. A genius of his caliber is bound to go far"

" I wonder how Mistborn would have felt if he was around to witness this?"

" Anyway, what I’m looking forward to is whether or not he can meet the requirements for entering the imperial Galaxy"

" Yeah, rumors are that one has to take on those absurd missions that will put you in the top 5 of the hall of fame list of the runesmith association of the empire"

" Really?"

Meanwhile, Karag Anvilheart was received with renewed respect by the staff member.

If before the assessment the man had treated him with professional respect, now, he treated him with earned respect. Not that Kailen cared.

" Is this man your acquaintance?"

The man asked as he gestured towards Legoland.

Kailen nodded.

" Very well. It won’t be a problem if he accompanies us for me to brief you on the requirements for entering the imperial Galaxy and why this system was put in place by the empire" The man replied.

" Alright. Please lead the way" Kailen replied.

The man led Kailen and Legoland followed into an office on the same floor.

It was time to know what Kailen had to do to get into the imperial capital.
