Chapter 630: Chapter 630. Requirement

Kailen and Legoland sat in plush arm chairs in the office.

The man said, "Call me Mu Xianchang."

Kailen and Legoland nodded.

"Sir Anvilheart. You may have heard of the hall of fame list of the runesmith association of the empire," Mu Xianchang said.

Kailen nodded. After his assessment, he overheard the people crowded outside the assessment rooms talking about it.

"It’s not a rumor. It’s actually a list that exists in all the secondary carrier associations.

To be able to enter the Imperial capital and have a residence there, one has to appear on the hall of fame list.

As for being among the top five on the hall of fame list, they are exaggerated rumors," Mu Xianchang took Anvilheart and his acquaintance’s silence for attentiveness and continued, "Anyone can leave their name on the list if they meet the requirements.

There are 30 people on the hall of fame list of the Runesmith association of the empire right now. All of those on the list are there because they performed certain feats for the runesmith association that towered above others in their generation.

Their names have never been taken off. It has nothing to do with comparison or which one of them is ranked first or last.

The first person on the list is the first because they were the first to be put on the list, not that their feat was more exceptional than the second or third person and so on. It’s just a matter of chronological arrangement."

Kailen nodded. "So I just have to leave my name on the hall of fame list and I will be allowed entry into the imperial capital? Is there a system in place to ensure that I can do that?"

Mu Xianchang nodded. "Yes. And there’s a system. Missions.

The Runesmith Association has missions you can take on. Depending on the level of execution and the kind of mission you take on, your name may or may not appear on the hall of fame list."

He added, "The reason why the empire implemented this system as the only way for secondary carrier professionals to enter the imperial capital is simple.

They want the best of the best to live in the imperial capital, and that includes secondary Carrier professionals.

Most importantly, when they require the assistance of secondary Carrier professionals, they will have help from the most exceptional in the empire, since the most exceptional ones, those who appear on the hall of fame list, are currently living in the imperial capital."

Kailen and Legoland nodded in understanding. The empire was very smart. The imperial faction had carefully orchestrated this system for their own benefit.

"You can access the association missions on your ID slot now that you have registered with the association.

Also, there is a ranking system for the Association’s runesmith in the solar system. Energy orbs and even runic artifacts are rewarded based on ranking level, in addition to the rewards for completing missions."

"I see. Thank you," Kailen said politely, nodded and left with Legoland.

"Karag Anvilheart, why do I have a feeling that he will cause an uproar very soon?" Mu Xianchang said as he stared at Karag Anvilherat’s retreating back.

***

As Kailen and Legoland arrived on the ground floor, several looks were directed his way.

"It’s him?"

"Karag Anvilheart?"

"That guy with the rune skill Proficiency of almost 94 percent?"

"Yeah, that’s him. He is really on another level"

"Apparently some fuckers insulted him before he took the assessment when they had the opportunity initially to become aquaintances with him."

"What a bunch of clowns. They really missed out on an opportunity to befriend someone like that?"

Suddenly, a female vampire appeared in the hall, causing another wave of commotion to erupt.

From the conversations, and looks directed her way, Kailen knew she was some sort of runesmith prodigy.

She had neat blonde hair and was clad in some sort of jeans, hoodie and sneakers.

However, she had an arrogant look in her eyes, as if everything was beneath her.

Kailen sighed the moment he saw her.

He wanted to avoid her as much as possible.

This was definitely some jade beauty full of drama.

Quickly, he walked calmly past her with Legoland.

Just then, the lady held Kailen’s shoulder before he moved forward.

"Look look. What is going on over there?"

"The 30th on the ranking is holding the shoulder of Karag Anvilheart?"

"Damn, this is a good show."

"Shaltear Usmond is not just a runesmith prodigy. She has a powerful background in the solar system. How is Karag Anvilheart going to handle this?"

"You may have a high rune skill proficiency, but that does not mean you can complete missions and climb the rankings," Shaltear’s words caused silence to reign in the hall.

She was openly declaring that Karag Anvilheart could never climb the rankings or even overtake her.

Karag Anvilheart did not even react to her words.

He was still calm, nonchalant, with a bored expression in his eyes. It was as if an ant had just spoken to him.

"Are you in love with me or something? Ignored the teachings of your parents that boundaries are basic manners?" Karag Anvilheart said, and flicked off her hand from his shoulder and walked out of the association.

Shaltear Usmond was shocked. This was the first time someone had treated her like this.

She had heard that some prodigy with a rune skill proficiency of 93.94 percent had appeared in the runesmith association.

However, when she finally met him, she realized the fellow was weak. He was just a rank 6 beginner stage universe level Lifeform. Missions of the Runesmith association did not just require high rune skill Proficiency. Some of them had untold dangers which required law applications to accomplish.

She herself was a rank 1 intermediate stage universe level lifeform.

As someone who had taken on a lot of missions and climbed to the top 30, she knew what she was talking about.

This fellow would probably die on a mission before he realized it.

She was just stating an obvious fact and letting him know his place.

Since he dared to be disrespectful to her, she couldn’t wait for him to get himself killed, or get himself humiliated on a mission.

As for the crowd, they discussed this altercation with fervor.

Very soon, news about Karag Anvilheart, his terrifying rune skill Proficiency, and his altercation with the 30th ranked person in the runesmith association ranking of the solar system, had spread.
