Heir of Mana:Beast made king-Chapter 61: Eclipse
The fabric stretched tightly across his thighs and hips, clearly not made for someone built like him.
When he pulled the linen shirt over his head, it clung to his shoulders and chest, the seams straining slightly as he rolled his shoulders.
He flexed once experimentally.
"...Tight," he muttered.
Olivia snorted softly beside him.
She stepped into her own trousers, tying them securely at the waist.
When she pulled on her shirt, it hung looser on her frame, sleeves slightly long, torso giving her room to move without restriction.
Then she grabbed one of the cloaks and swung it over her shoulders, fastening it at the collar.
Azreal followed, choosing the darker one. The heavy fabric helped hide his build a little though not by much.
Boots came next.
Belts last.
When they were done, the difference was clear.
The clothes fit Olivia like practical travel gear—comfortable, easy to move in, slightly oversized but manageable.
On Azreal, they looked like they were fighting for survival.
Olivia crossed her arms, looking him up and down.
"...You look like you stole clothes from someone smaller and dared them to complain."
Azreal gave her a flat look.
"They were smaller. And you look like your wearing the underwear of a giant"
She smiled faintly annoyed but she chose not to answer him because if she did she would just be giving him what he wanted.
Behind them, the river kept flowing, uncaring.
Ahead of them was everything else.
"Ready?" he asked.
Olivia adjusted her cloak, then nodded.
"Yeah," she said. "Lets move"
Together, they turned away from the river, leaving the marked armor behind—along with the part of themselves that, for now, would have to wait.
Just as it did within the dungeon.
Following the same path that the guards had once walked and the slave carriages had once towed, they made their way from the area that had served as their prison, the forge by which they had obtained their freedom.
The path was covered on both sides by trees, grass, and whatever other vegetation was hidden away behind them.
And right down the middle of this was the path, a poorly made trail that was marked by the horse tracks that still marked the floor
But even so, Azreal and Olivia began to walk upon it like it was the only way to salvation.
Eventually, they came up onto the main trail that carriages were actually meant to tread on.
Right now it looked as empty as it could get, but even so, they could never be too safe.
To be able to actually interact with anyone, much less enter a city, they had to deal with their current biggest problem
Azreal
While Olivia could pass as the humans had an alliance with the elves, the beastborn were a completely different story.
No matter where you went in the world, beastborns were captured, branded, and enslaved.
The closest one could get to freedom was on continents ruled by the giants or, as the rumors say, in the sovereign nation of zombies.
Everywhere else they were nothing but products to be sold and owned.
And while he planned to change that very, very soon, as of right now he was way too weak to do anything meaningful about it.
He would just bide his time because while he was sometimes reckless, he was by no means stupid.
And Olivia knew this, which was why she didn’t doubt him for even a single second when he told her he had a solution to their problem.
But she still had to ask him what it was anyway. As they say, curiosity killed the catkin.
"So pray tell, what’s this solution that you have to get your fluffy tail through the door without a slave mark"
And his answer came immediately as he raised his hand to show her both the golden ring seated on his ring finger and the gray stone-like bracelet that was settled quite nicely on his hand.
"This of course, is our ticket inside"
"And why is that?"
It just looked like an ordinary bracelet to her, what could be so special about it?
That was something only he knew, as looking at his system it displayed the info about the bracelet, giving him access to all its secrets that rightfully belonged to him.
The trickster’s bracelet
Rank: unique
Ability’s: illusion
Description: A powerful item made by a frustrated dwarven blacksmith who was tired of giant women rejecting his advances because he was just too short.
It allows the user to cast a powerful illusion spell onto themselves that lasts as long as the bracelet’s three holes are filled with mana stones and the user is wearing the bracelet. The illusion lasts so long as the mana stones last.
This was his third time seeing the Description and just like the other two times his face broke out into a truly troublesome smile.
"Just watch and see"
Saying that he imagined the illusion he wanted to set onto himself and poured a little of his mana into the bracelet and as soon as the mana came in contact with the item Azrael’s body began to change.
The wolf-like ears on his head disappeared, and one by one all nine of his tails disappeared as well.
Until all that stood in front of Olivia appeared to be a normal human man
Except for his truly unique eyes and the silver markings all over his body.
And one might say why not change that as well whose answer would always be the same
Why would I change something about myself if I don’t absolutely have too, the ears and tails were already pushing it by a lot, if anything else and he would abandon the plan completely.
Walking into the town without shame in all his glory.
Gazing at his new form Olivia began to sulk before saying
"Aww, I liked your fluffy tails and ears, and you just got rid of them just like that without even asking me how cruel"
To which he chose to completely ignore
When another voice was heard, this one was deeper and carried a more ancient type of dialect
"That is truly amazing my lord, excellent plan" the voice came from within his own shadow where the demon had taken up refuge.
"Thank you Amon, at least someone here can take stuff seriously"
Olivia in return gave no response.
With that settled they began to walk again finding themselves drifting into a comfortable silence as they walked side by side
They didn’t make conversation, they didn’t have to.
Assuming that they would be walking for a while Azreal chose to take a look at his status.
Maybe it had changed slightly after his bloodline fusion.

The first thing he noticed was his affinities it went from four to just two now normally he would be outraged but when his eyes landed on the second affinity he couldn’t be.
Just seeing it there felt right, like the others were never meant to be there in the first place and now the true owner of that space was rightfully claiming it.
The more he examined it the better it felt until the system itself gave him the description
Eclipse affinity: When the sun is drenched in obsidian and the moon dyed crimson, all things will be twisted under the light of the eclipse.
But it wasn’t done with that cryptic description no there was more
Lunar: calm, let go of all emotions, deadens, worries for you shall not be held down when the crimson moon shines, just as the moon is dyed in blood so earth shall be as well, all shall know a calm so quiet it screams.
Lunar: When the moon is dyed red, the water will flow black for with the blood moon comes the corruption of all that is lower, the inverse of all that is right, the death of mortals, and the decaying of the divine.
The owner of the Eclipse Affinity can create and control water: although the water the user creates will be a pitch black color and the longer the user controls natural water the more it becomes black.
Upgradeable: for the moon to be dyed crimson permanently you must understand it, dye it with your blood, twist it, corrupt it, consume it, only then will it truly shine as it should, only then will the eclipse’s light bathe this world red. Only then will the eclipse light remake this world.
Solar: Rage, hold onto everything, never let go, never forget, for your rage shall erase everything in your path it shall set you free for when the sun is drenched black all will be gone, all shall be purged so that a new Genesis takes form so hold onto all you which not lose for all shall know a rage so loud it becomes inaudible.
Solar: When the sun is drenched black, the fire shall be burned white for with the obsidian sun comes the purification of all that is lower, the purge of all that is wrong, the life of mortals, and the erasion of the divine.
The owner of the Eclipse Affinity can create and control fire: all tho the fire the user creates will be a brilliant white color and the more the user controls natural fire the more it becomes white.
Upgradeable: for the sun to be drenched obsidian permanently you must understand it, light it with your soul, conquer it, purify it, and consume it, only then will it truly shine as it should, only then will the eclipse’s light bathe this world white. Only then will the eclipse’s light erase this world.
The only real thing he got from any of that was that he was now able to use fire and water spells
Just as he was about to ask Olivia for her opinion on what she thought it meant he heard the sound of horses running towards them
Turning he saw a carriage approaching them the closer it got the slower the horses moved.
At the forefront, he saw a man sitting holding the reins of the horses guiding them to slow down before they ultimately came to a complete stop right behind Azreal and Olivia
Letting go of the reins the man looked them both up and down before asking them something that neither would expect to help them
