Her Dark Desires-Chapter 28: I Don’t Hate You

"I have been calling Eliana but she isn’t answering. Our investors are pulling out, and our shareholders are selling out their shares." Henry said with a devasted look on his face.

Sloane sighed, looking at her husband, who looked like he had aged within a few hours, and said, "I have asked the bank to give us a loan so that we can at least sort out some issues and pay some of our debt, but they only agree to loan us five hundred thousand."

"Five hundred thousand? But that won’t be enough for anything. We need to get to Eliana and ask her to help us; only the Sanders can save us from this mess. Do you not understand what is happening Sloane? We are losing everything."

"We haven’t lost everything yet. You said it yourself, only the Sanders can bring us out of the mess."

"And I also said Eliana isn’t answering any of my calls. She must still be angry with us for not attending her wedding but still... Haven’t she seen the news and realized that we may need her help?"

"Eliana may not answer either of our calls, but there is a call she will never turn away and someone she will never refuse."

"Mother," Henry whispered. Yes, Eliana has always been close to her grandmother. Right now, his mother is the only way that will be able to get through to her. "I will call her and book a flight for her to come here immediately."

Sloane nodded and said, "You do that while I go pay a visit to Charlotte."

"Charlotte Sanders? You think she will answer you?" Henry asked.

"She has to. After all, her son is partly responsible for Amber’s condition." Sloane replied with a sneer.

Rieve Estate (Zachary and Eliana house)

Seeing Zach coming down the stairs while making a call, Eliana rushed to stand in front of him and smiled softly at him.

Zach ended the call, confused by his wife’s actions, and asked, "What are you doing? Why are you smiling at me?"

"I made breakfast."

Zach frowned and asked "Why did you do that? The doctor told you to rest so that is what you are supposed to be doing."

"Lying in bed all day is boring and since I quit my job....."

"You quit your job?" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"Well, it’s not that I quit modeling, I just quit being a model of Young Modeling Agency."

"Since you left the agency before the expiration of your contract, that means you have to pay a breach of contract fee, right?"

"Don’t worry about it, I can handle it," Eliana said.

Zach looked at her and wanted to say something when his phone rang again. He ended the call without any hesitation and said, "You don’t need to handle it; Ethan will handle it for you, but why did you quit?"

"I just didn’t like it there anymore."

"That’s fine. Eli, I can’t eat breakfast now; I’m already late for a meeting, why don’t you pack it in a lunch box, and Ethan will bring it for me." Zachary said and was about to leave when Eliana held his hand.

"Zach, are we cool?" Eliana asked, looking at the floor. For some reason, she couldn’t handle looking at him in his eyes.

Zach turned to her and slowly raised her chin to look at him. "We are, but never keep things from me again, ok?"

Eliana nodded and said, "Can you also never mention divorce so easily again?"

Zach saw her eyes becoming teary, and he leaned forward to kiss them as he said, "Never again. We are a couple, and we will have our fights, but we will never leave each other."

"I love you, Zach. I thought you were going to leave me because you looked so angry and I thought you hated me too."

"I was angry, yes but I don’t hate you. I love you, and I will always love you, and when I come back, we are going to go out on a date and put a smile on your face." Zach said softly as if he was speaking to a child.

Eliana nodded with a smile "I’m on your side and will always be on your side. Eliana Sanders will always be on Zachary Sanders team no matter what."

Zach laughed softly, and Eliana was surprised. It was the first time since yesterday she had heard him laugh. She tiptoed to kiss him and smiled when he returned her kiss.

Zachary held her on her waist as he kissed her back, and a certain part of his body was already beginning to get stirred up as they deepened the kiss, but the ringing of Zach’s phone interrupted the mood, and Zachary pulled away, remembering once again that he was late for a meeting.

"I have to go, and also, don’t bother to cook for me, I was planning to hire a chef for that anyway."

"But I like cooking for you," Eliana said with a pout.

Zach smiled as he said, "I know, baby, but just until our little treasure is born, ok?"

Eliana agreed and they shared a quick kiss before he rushed out.

After he left, Eliana went back to their room and collected her phone that was on the nightstand, she switched it on and saw that she had 20 missed calls from her dad and fifteen missed calls from her mother. Eliana placed her phone on the bed and collected her laptop, she switched it on and typed ’The Moore family.’

And just like that news on the recent downfall of the Moore family appeared before her. Investors and shareholders were leaving TM Entertainment. The stocks have already plummeted beyond repair, and despite all of that, there was no news of Amber’s suicide attempt.

"He destroyed dad years of hard work in just a day. Should I be scared of you, Zach?" Eliana whispered to herself; up till now, Zach has still refused to tell her what her dad did to him with the excuse that he doesn’t want to stress her out.

A notification sound brought Eliana from her thoughts, and she took her phone to see who had messaged her.

Eliana froze when she saw the number that had messaged her asking if they should meet up. Her heart slightly race in excitement as she whispered "Grandma."
