Her Dark Desires-Chapter 30: His Enemies Are My Enemies
Wisp Cafe
"Let me look at you. You look so beautiful, I guess married life is treating you well." Grandma Moore said to her granddaughter immediately after she saw her.
Eliana laughed and replied "Grandma, you look much younger than the last time I saw you, I guess staying abroad has also been treating you well."
When her grandmother sent her a message asking to see her, Eliana agreed at once because Grandma not only found her but also truly treated her as her grandchild.
"And my great-grandchild, how is he?"
Eliana touched her belly and replied "He is fine. Luckily, he is behaving very well today."
Grandma Moore smiled and said "Thank you for meeting me today. I know it wasn’t an easy decision to make."
"You know I couldn’t bear say no to you grandma," Eliana said.
"If you can’t bear to say no to me, then help your father. I know he hasn’t been a good man or a good father to you, but he is still your father; his blood runs in your veins and he is your child grandfather. You cannot abandon him." Grandma said, reaching out to hold Eliana’s hand.
"But how can I help him?"
"He told me that you promised to ask your husband Zach to merge TM Entertainment and Vince Entertainment. Did you ask him?"
Eliana shook her head and said, "I couldn’t. A lot of things came up, and it was never the right time to ask him."
"Now is the right time. With Zach’s help, the Moore family will never lose their foothold, and I will not lose my respect."
"But I can’t ask Zach to help the Moore family, he won’t even agree to it," Eliana said.
Grandma Moore squeezed her hand as she said, "You are carrying his child. Believe me when I tell you this, you have the power to influence his decision more than you know."
"So are you saying that I should use my child to manipulate Zach? I can’t do that. I’m sorry Grandma, but I can’t help the Moore family. You aren’t stupid, so you must know that it is the Sanders who are suppressing dad company, and I can’t do anything about it. I promise Zach that I will be on his team, and I intend to fulfill that promise."
"So you will watch your family fall because of a man?" Grandma Moore said as she released Eliana’s hands from her hold.
"Family? Zach is my family. The Sanders are now my family. I agree Henry and Sloane took me in, fed me, and clothed me, but you and I both know that they never showed me love, even though they were my biological parents. I do not wish for Dad to lose all he has worked for in years, but at the same time, he deserves it. Let’s talk some other time, Grandma, I have to go." Eliana said and was about to get up when she heard her grandma Moore’s next words.
"Will you put me on the street as well?"
"What? Of course not, How could you even say that?" Eliana asked, mortified by her grandmother’s question.
"If that is not the case then you will help your father."
"I can’t."
"You can. You carry the heir of that family so yes, you definitely can."
Eliana looked at her grandmother and felt bad at her next statement, but she knew she had to say this: "If I can help the Moore family from falling, then I won’t."
"You won’t?"
"The day Zach and I got married, I made a promise to myself. I promise to love him and to protect him. His friends will be my friends and his enemies are my enemies, and right now, Zachary Sanders’s enemies are the Moore, so therefore, they are also my enemies."
"You love him that much?" Grandma Moore asked with a frown.
"Yes." Eliana answered with no hesitation, "I love him that much, and he loves me too."
"Are you so certain that he loves you too? You are also a Moore, and if he was to find out the truth then..."
"He already knows that I am a Moore, and he was angry for a while, but he still loves me," Eliana said.
Grandma Moore looked at her granddaughter and said, "I hope he does and that you won’t regret abandoning your family when they needed you the most."
Eliana chuckled softly and said, "They abandoned me first, Grandma, so I assure you, such regrets will never happen."
...
CITY HOSPITAL
Amber sat on the hospital bed reading a magazine while eating fruit. She felt so bored here but she still had to wait for her mother to sign the discharge papers.
Amber knew nothing about the current situation of the Moore family. Her phone was seized by her mother, saying she had to rest properly, and Sloane had strictly forbidden the nurses to say anything to her daughter.
While turning a page from her Magazine, Amber heard the door opened, and she just assumed it was her mother because the nurses no longer came to check up on her.
"Mom, did you bring my phone?" Amber asked, but when she heard no reply, she finally raised her head and was surprised to see who was standing in front of her.
"You? Why are you here?" Amber asked the man who was looking at her with a gentle smile.
"I decided to pay you a visit on behalf of my family since they were too busy to see you. You did almost become my sister-in-law after all." Ryan replied, still maintaining his charming smile.
"Does Zach know that I’m in the hospital? Does he know that because of him and that bitch betrayal, I almost lost my life?"
"But wasn’t it your choice?" Ryan asked confusedly.
"What?"
"You were the one who decided to cut your wrist and you couldn’t even do a good job at that. Were you maybe thinking that if Zach heard that you almost died because he did not get married to you, he would feel guilty or were you hoping for the public to drag Eliana down for your fake suicide."
"Get out of my room," Amber said with anger.
Ryan’s smile disappeared as he said, "A girl like you who has forgotten her place should be reminded of where she truly stands. You, Amber Moore, are nothing, and whether you decide to kill yourself today or tomorrow, it doesn’t matter because you are not important enough to bring my family down. Pull this useless stunt again and I will make sure you never wake up from it."
Ryan’s smile returned to his face as he continued, "One more thing, stay away from Eliana. You may not have realized it, but you are worth nothing compared to her, so never again doubt why Zach chose her and not you. A fake will always remain a fake no matter how hard it tries, it can never become the original. Get well soon, Amber Moore, and let’s hope to never meet again."
Amber watched as he left and screamed in anger, throwing whatever was within her reach to the door.
A nurse came in and was about to ask what the problem was when Amber shouted, "Get out!"
The nurse ignored her and said, "I will go get the doctor."
"Eliana, you will never become better than me. Never."
