I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 131: I Only Want The Best For You
"How did you know about that? No one is supposed to know," Sean asked Sophie when she told him about Odelia’s first meeting where she led Sean into a hotel room.
"Did you forget that I was also in the same hotel as you? I would have known about it without you telling anyone." Sophie became quite panicked as Sean’s question cornered her.
However, Sean said that he knew about it, but he remembered that Sophie had told him that he had left the club drunk. And she didn’t know anything more about his situation after that.
That meant she shouldn’t have known that he had met Odelia at the hotel and that she had led him to the room.
"Or did you know about this from the start, you saw Odelia taking me but you didn’t stop her. Or did you have other plans for this?" asked Sean who was now standing looking at Sophie with a sharp, suspicious gaze.
He was sure that Sophie knew more than she was letting on. There must be something she was hiding, and deliberately not telling him.
And as it seemed, she was at a loss as to how to answer Sean’s question to her.
"I... I did see you two by accident, at that time I intended to look for you. That’s why I went to catch up but it turned out that you and Odelia had already entered the room. I tried to call out to the two of you, but it looks like Odelia locked the door to your room," Sophie explained, trying to cover up her own crime in which she had deliberately set Sean up.
But she set the trap so that Sean would do it with her and not with Odelia. That’s why she still couldn’t accept the incident.
"And you didn’t report anything either? You didn’t ask someone to open the door. Then you also acted like you didn’t know anything. You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you?"
Sophie shook her head in defense that she wasn’t hiding anything. She hadn’t told anyone about it because she was afraid to do so. It was clear that she was afraid not because she would disturb Odelia and Sean, but she was afraid that someone would find out about her plan to deliberately drug Sean’s drink.
"Believe me, I’m not hiding anything from you. It’s just that I feel that Odelia is not a good woman for you. You mean as you saw, what was she doing at the hotel alone that night until she led you on," she said.
"So are you saying that what happened to me was because Odelia set me up? Of course that’s not possible because I was already drunk. And she was just trying to help me that night," Sean replied.
He didn’t want an argument between the two of them about his wife, because he still felt suspicious and dissatisfied with Sophie’s answers, which seemed to continue to protect herself.
Even if he tried to find evidence that there was something wrong with her, it was already difficult to do because it had happened almost two years ago. There was no evidence to prove what Sophie had done.
He asked her to leave, but she was stubborn and wanted to talk to Sean.
"Do you really know what she’s like? I mean you guys got married too soon. Even you immediately believed that the child she had was yours! Are you sure that the daughter is yours or is it someone else’s. But she’s trying to say that you’re the father?!"
"What you’re asking is nonsense Sophie. Of course I know exactly what she looks like and I know that the child is mine. Stop talking as if you know so much about my personal life."
"But I only want what’s best for you! I don’t want you to be held back because of your marriage. I’m sure Odelia must have threatened you with something to keep you in line with her!" Sophie said, which made Sean try not to get angry.
Whatever she said really didn’t make sense to Sean, but he couldn’t explode on the spot by telling Sophie to leave immediately. After all, she was one of the workers in his company and they still needed her.
It’s precisely because of this that he is starting to think about finding a replacement for Sophie because that woman keeps interfering with his personal life more and more.
"I don’t know what you’re thinking right now, but stop interfering in my personal life. You’re not part of my family and even my close friends say you only want what’s best for me. Only I know what’s best for me right now," he said trying to tell Sophie she was a nobody and to stop talking as if she had a big role in his life.

Ronald finally returned from the cafeteria, he asked his secretary to call security if Sophie didn’t come out of his office.
"Miss Sophie, you’d better leave Mr. Sean’s office, because you shouldn’t be here all the time with nothing to do. Plus it’s lunchtime so please leave the room and let the boss have his lunch," Ronald said, warning Sophie to leave the room immediately.
She was so annoyed, she even stomped one foot on the floor which surprised both Sean and Ronald. It was like they saw a child having a tantrum and walked out of the room.
"What’s wrong with her? Why did she come back again and even look so upset by whatever it was." Ronald looked curious and I recounted their little argument where Sophie had tried to make Sean doubt Odelia.
"Really? Miss Odelia is a very sincere and kind woman. She even kept you company in the hospital back then and I don’t think she’s a bad woman with other intentions. If she was, she would have left you when you had the accident," Ronald explained.
Especially when Sean was still unable to walk and also lost his memory, Odelia was there for him. And Ronald knew all this because he checked on Sean almost every day and saw Odelia taking good care of her husband.
"How could she say such a thing? I think Miss Sophie really doesn’t like Miss Odelia. I hope nothing bad happens afterwards."
Sean nodded in agreement, he also hoped that Sophie would stop talking about his wife. "She really frustrates me."
He then ate lunch with Ronald in his office and continued working after lunch.
Sophie, meanwhile, was still feeling very upset that she had almost uncovered her own plan when she traped Sean. She hadn’t intended to do so, but she had gotten so carried away with her emotions that she had almost said a lot of things about the events of the night before.
"Now he’s really keeping his distance from me. All because of that damn woman, I really don’t want to do anything bad to her. But after this, I really have no other choice to do it. Sean has to be mine!" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
She then called someone to meet her after work. The person agreed, and Sophie hung up because she didn’t want anyone to overhear her conversation.
"Now I just need to figure out what to do to get rid of that woman. She can’t be any happier than I am for taking what I have."

At Sean’s house, Odelia was very busy with Carmelia who had suddenly developed a fever. The little girl kept crying, as she felt her body aching and her head was dizzy.
Of course this made Odelia very worried, and in case the fever got higher. Megan wasn’t home at the time, so it was just her and her daughter.
"Mommy is here, don’t be afraid dear. If you keep crying your head will hurt more," she said gently while patting Carmelia’s back to calm her down.
"My head hurts," she said so innocently while sobbing because she couldn’t stop crying.
"Yes, I know, how about some milk?"
She then breastfed Carmelia to make her calmer. And sure enough the little girl felt a little calm after drinking milk from her mother. Odelia could feel their skin touching where Carmelia felt so hot from her fever.
Odelia kept rubbing her daughter’s head, wishing she could take the pain away from her. She couldn’t bear to see how her daughter kept crying from the pain.
Not long after, Sean returned from the company and saw his wife breastfeeding their daughter. He could see the traces of tears that flowed from both Odelia’s eyes and even Carmelia.
"What’s wrong? Why are you two crying?" he asked with concern as he approached them.
"Carmelia has a fever, she’s been crying since earlier and I can’t bear to see her in pain like this," she replied with tears welling up again.
Sean rubbed Carmelia’s head and then embraced Odelia so she didn’t have to cry. He would make sure Carmelia got good treatment, if her fever got higher.
"Calm down, we’ll take her to the hospital if there’s no change at all in her temperature. I’ll pay whatever it takes for our daughter to be okay."
