Annoyed, Sophie stayed in the waiting room because she couldn’t find out where Carmelia was currently being treated. She really wanted to know so that she could execute this plan perfectly. She didn’t want to wait any longer, she was worried that it would be more difficult for her to do this later.

"Then I have to go now, I have to meet with one of my business partners to discuss something today. I’ll make sure to be back before lunch," Sean said and then left the room and went back to work as usual.

Meanwhile, Odelia remained there with their daughter. Unbeknownst to her, someone was watching them from earlier and waiting until the right time came to do something.

At Sean’s house, Megan was straightening her clothes because Samuel had asked her to come to Dormania. Soon there would be a big event or celebration in the old people’s box that was usually done every year like a Festival.

"This festival is held every year, and what it’s all about you’ll find out later. The most important thing now is that you have to come in three days because the festival will start the day after tomorrow," he said.

Actually, Megan was hesitant to go there because Carmelia was currently sick and she wanted to help look after her niece. However, Odelia said that Carmelia would be able to go home tomorrow, so she thought she could go to Dormania without any problems.

"I have to meet your father there too, right? Will he like me?" Megan asked worriedly.

She knew that Vasco liked Sean being his daughter’s husband. But she didn’t know if Vasco would like her too, especially since Megan was much older than Samuel. It might make Vasco wonder why his son was with a woman so much older than him.

Because most people would think a much older man would be more mature than a much older woman. Rarely is a couple considered normal when the woman is much older than the man. Especially when it’s the man who will lead the household, not the woman.

"I already told my father about you, you don’t need to worry about that anymore and you just need to prepare yourself when you meet him. You know what I mean, right?" asked Samuel as they chatted on the phone.

"I understand that. Then I will prepare myself well so that she sees me as the best daughter-in-law candidate for his son."

"Then wear good makeup because you keep looking ugly every time I see you," he teased, much to Megan’s annoyance.

However, she will try her best to be Samuel’s partner. Megan herself has no problem moving to Dormania to live with him after marriage.

She will try to establish her second branch company in Dormania so that she can manage her company there as well. She would choose someone trustworthy to handle her Zondalian company.

Coupled with the fact that Samuel was a mobster, he had a lot of connections that might help Megan in her new company there.

"Even though I’m ugly, you still like me. I never look ugly anyway because you always have pictures of me in your phone gallery!"

Samuel gasped in shock as Megan looked at the gallery on his phone containing the photos that Megan had sent him.

"So is there something you’re trying to hide from me? You can’t do that with me around."

"When did you see that? When did you see the photos on my phone?" asked Samuel who was still embarrassed to be caught keeping all the photos of his girlfriend.

Megan laughed and explained that when they were at the hotel that day, she took Samuel’s phone and looked at the gallery because she was curious about what her boyfriend had photographed. Samuel was sleeping because he was exhausted after they made love earlier.

And when she opened the gallery, it turned out that there were many photos of his mother and Odelia there including Megan in one gallery album which he named Kitten.

Even Megan’s social media photos were saved by Samuel, which she thought was very sweet because she didn’t think that the man really loved her all this time even to the point of saving her photos.

All the photos that Megan had even sent randomly just to show that she was somewhere, were also saved by Samuel in the album.

"You love me so much, hmn? To keep all that in there. You’re such a romantic," Megan said in a teasing tone, although she really just wanted to make Samuel feel embarrassed.

What she did did work, because right now the man’s face was red because he was caught keeping all her photos. Even though no one ever knew about it, even Joice herself who had opened his cell phone did not know about the secret album.

"Shut up! I don’t want to hear anything more from you and I just want you to get ready to come here. I’ll pick you up at the airport later," Samuel said with annoyance and embarrassment which made Megan laugh again.

"Hey come on, you don’t need to be angry like that because I’m just joking with you! I wonder what your face will look like when I find out your secret," she said.

He let out a rude sigh when he heard that, but it wasn’t long before one of his men called out as they found the target they were looking for. Megan could hear the voice behind Samuel. He was calling his name because he was in the middle of work.

"I think you should go now, Mr. Lorenzo! Be careful with your work, I don’t want you to be seriously injured when i meet my lover. I wish I could be there to keep you company," Megan said as she knew Samuel would hang up soon.

"Yes, I understand that, after all it can be said that I am rarely in the mansion every day. But don’t worry if we get married one day, I will inherit my father’s business and I will be at the mansion with you more often," he explained and hung up as he had to get back to work again.

This time it was Megan who sighed as she and Samuel found it rather difficult to communicate with each other over the phone. Moreover, Dormania is 4 hours ahead of Zondalian time. So while Samuel was having breakfast, Megan was still fast asleep because it was still so dark outside.

She was also thinking about her future because she would definitely become Mrs. Lorenzo or the madam of the mafia boss. Would she be okay accepting the harsh life of the mafia?
