Chapter 36: Go Visit Her Family

After Sean and Odelia planned a real wedding, they decided to go to Mocoado to meet Odelia’s mother and younger brother. She wanted to introduce Sean to her family.

Although Sean was a little hesitant about it, he was worried about Odelia being pregnant and having to board a plane for a long trip.

However, Odelia said that she would be fine. She also wanted to show Sean her childhood home which made him feel touched. He finally agreed and would use a private jet to take them there.

"Your comfort is number one, I will use my company’s private jet to go there. There is a comfortable bed that you can use," he explained.

"Are you sure you’re okay with that?" asked Odelia.

"Of course it’s fine, you’re my wife and as a husband, I have to make sure my wife who is carrying my daughter feels safe and comfortable. So you don’t have to worry about that, do you understand?"

She nodded her head and they went to their respective rooms to go to bed. Sean took off his clothes and changed into a black t-shirt and lay down on his bed.

Sean watched the ceiling his room, they would be leaving tomorrow morning for Mocoado to meet Odelia’s mother.

"What should I tell her? I got her daughter pregnant by accident even though we loved each other and decided to get married in the end. But still, Odelia’s pregnancy felt like a forced one because I was drunk. I feel so bad," he muttered remembering how he had made love to Odelia.

He remembered how her soft skin touched his as they used to do when holding hands. It was just that it felt so different when Sean remembered the way he and Odelia had made love.

Her flushed face, her soft moans like a song so melodious to his ears. He couldn’t forget any of it and it still came to mind.

To be honest, Sean couldn’t contain his desire and lust when he was around Odelia. Especially when he knew that Odelia loved him too. But every time he remembered that she was pregnant, he tried to restrain himself.

"I wanted so much to touch her again, to feel her in my arms again and hear her moan. But... I don’t want to hurt the baby in her belly. I would feel so bad if that happened..."

Thinking of all that, he glanced at his ’little friend’ who had apparently woken up because of the desire he felt. His image of Odelia excited him.

"Huft... You shouldn’t have gotten up, you know? You could have gotten me in trouble," he muttered and got off the bed and went to the bathroom to release what he was holding in.

Finished with his business in the bathroom, he felt thirsty and opened the bedroom door to go get a drink from the kitchen.

As he passed by the lounge that was near his and Odelia’s room, he saw the woman sitting alone on the sofa rubbing her belly.

"Why is she there? It’s already 11pm," he asked confused and went over to her.

"Odelia, what are you doing here? Why don’t you go to bed? Tomorrow we’re going to Mocoado, remember?"

"Oh Sean, I can’t sleep. I’m too excited to get home to see my mom and... I think Little One feels the same way," she replied.

Sean rubbed her belly and felt their daughter kick as if she was saying that she couldn’t wait to go to a new place tomorrow. He chuckled and then asked Odelia to wait a moment, he wanted to get a drink and then come back.

When he returned, Sean invited Odelia to sleep with him in his room alone. He would help her rub her belly so that their baby could feel calmer and Odelia could rest.

Hearing the invitation, she agreed and followed Sean to his room.

"Lie down here," he said as he pulled down the blanket.

She lay down slowly on her left side. Sean climbed onto the bed and lay behind Odelia. Hugging her from behind, he rubbed her belly.

"Sshh... Let mommy rest. You need to rest too, Little One," he whispered.

Feeling the soft and warm strokes of his hands, let alone her back against his broad chest, made her feel so comfortable. Slowly Odelia fell asleep in his arms and he smiled knowing that.

Sean kissed Odelia’s neck, and said goodnight. They both finally fell asleep together with Sean warmly embracing his wife as well as their unborn baby.

The next day, Sean and Odelia left for Mocoado by private jet and the journey took 6 hours until they finally arrived at the airport and there was already a car waiting for them to take Sean and Odelia to Odelia’s family home.

"Oh right, I forgot to tell you. My mother’s house is very small and is attached to her noodle shop. I hope you’re okay with that. I should have told you from the start," she said.

She was worried that Sean would feel uncomfortable or even bothered by her family’s small and cramped house. But she said she was fine with that. The goal was to meet Odelia’s mother, not to judge their home.

"I want to meet the woman who gave birth to an angel like you for me, not to look at your home. A real home is where you have the people you love nearby," he explains.

That’s why he stayed with Megan, because she was his family and the only person he had after losing everything. And being with his little sister, he felt at home even though it felt different without their parents.

Odelia smiled and nodded in understanding, what Sean said was true. A real home is a place where everyone who loves them is there.

After a two-hour drive from the airport to Odelia’s house, they arrived at a house on the edge of a shopping street with food stores close together.

As soon as Odelia got out of the car, a woman ran out of the shop and approached her. She was dressed rather shabbily, with an apron.

"Odelia, my daughter!" she said and hugged her daughter after a long absence.

"Mom!" Odelia immediately cried in her mother’s arms because since she had married Vincent, she had not seen her mother again.

Sean who witnessed this could only be silent and there was a little feeling of envy in him. He could no longer hug his mother who left ten years ago.

’It’s good that she looks happy,’ he thought.

"Mom, I brought Sean with me. He’s the father of this baby of mine, the man I told you about," Odelia said.

The middle-aged woman turned to Sean and smiled at him.

"Come on in, consider it your home too."
