I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 40: Childhood Memories
In the middle of the night, Odelia woke up because she didn’t feel Sean was there. She opened her eyes and looked over to find that it was true, her husband wasn’t there. Of course it made her confused because she didn’t know where Sean had gone.
"Did he go to the bathroom? But why did it take so long." She waited on the bed while checking her cell phone and it was true that 5 minutes had passed but Sean had not returned.
Curious, she tried to get out of bed herself even though it was very difficult because the mattress was on the floor. Odelia had to hold her stomach to keep it from compressing and keep her balance.
She opened the bedroom door and looked out to find Sean at the dining table with her mother. It appeared that he was enjoying a bowl of warm noodles while looking at a photo album on the table.
"This is a photo of Odelia when she first entered kindergarten. I gave her a flower-shaped bag and she was so happy that even when she fell asleep she was still wearing it," Dasha said, pointing to one of the photos where little Odelia was wearing a flower-shaped bag and her hair was in double pigtails.
Sean smiled at how cute Odelia looked when she was little. Her mother then showed another photo of her eldest daughter’s development. Odelia always looks smiling in every photo. Even as she grew up, the more her photos looked the more beautiful Odelia became.
"This was when she participated in a running competition at school. She was so excited about the race that even when she fell, she immediately got up and continued her run so as not to lose to the other classes," she explains.
"It turns out that she is very hardworking. No matter what happened to her, she wanted to be the best and show them that she could do it," said Sean who saw how Odelia held the winning trophy with her friends.
He could see that her knee, and arm, were injured but her face was still smiling. While enjoying a bowl of noodles, Sean listened to stories about his wife as a child from his future mother-in-law.
Watching her husband and her mother get along so well, made her smile as she felt her family was accepted by Sean who was certainly different world from her.
"What is this? You guys are busy chatting and eating noodles in the middle of the night without inviting me? Don’t you know pregnant women are always hungry in the middle of the night?" asked Odelia who was grumbling at them but only in jest.
Dasha and Sean turned their heads and they chuckled as they remembered the contents of the photos in the album book.
"Are you mad, Odelia? Do you want me to buy you a blue balloon first, then you won’t be mad anymore?" asked Sean teasing her.
Odelia’s face turned red and she turned to her mother because she was sure she was the one telling him about her childhood. Dasha turned her face away, as if pretending not to know anything. Sean laughed then gently pulled her hand to sit on his lap.
"I’m just kidding, are you hungry? Or is Little One hungry?" he asked as he rubbed her stomach.
"I’ll make something for you. Just wait a minute, okay?" Dasha stood up from her chair and cooked something for her daughter.
He pointed at Odelia’s childhood photo which he thought was cute. Imagining that their daughter would be as cute as Odelia was today.
"Even now you still look cute," he said pinching her cheek lightly.
"Don’t do that! I’m so curious about your childhood photos too. I’ll ask Megan to show them to me later!"
When the food was ready, the ginger-haired woman ate it right away and started to feel better because her stomach wasn’t hungry anymore. Dasha smiled and rubbed her daughter’s head. Tomorrow she had to return to Zondalia.
The woman saw how her daughter had grown up and soon she would have a child. She felt that time went by very quickly, but she was happy knowing that her daughter’s life was secured. Having a good and caring husband was more than enough for her.

The night had passed, Odelia and Sean had to go to the airport to return to their home. She hugged her mother tightly, even crying at the thought of parting with her.
"Sshh don’t cry, if you’re sad, your child will be sad too. I’ll be fine, you have to be fine there too," Dasha said as she wiped Odelia’s tears.
"Are you sure you don’t want to come with us, Mrs. Grace? I’m still waiting for your answer if you want to open your noodle business in Zondalia," Sean asked.
He offered Dasha to open a noodle restaurant for which he would provide the capital, including the employees. But she was still hesitant about it and temporarily rejected it.
"I’ll think about it first, I’ll definitely answer after I decide," she replied.
"It’s better that you accept, that way we can meet often."
She then turned to her younger brother. "Take good care of mom, I know you’re busy working, but don’t forget to check on her too if you have time. And don’t ignore my message!"
"Yes, yes, sis. I understand that!" replied Sam who then looked at Sean. "And you take care of my sister! If I hear you’re just as bad as that blonde, I’ll come over there and kick your ass!"
"Are you going to beat me up or am I going to do it to you like the other day?" the man asked as he folded his arms across his chest and stared intently at Sam.
Instantly Sam was slapped by the glare of his sister’s husband. But Sean immediately looked normal and ruffled Sam’s hair.
"I was just joking. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely take care of her. You also practice fighting properly, don’t get too carried away. Stay calm and watch your opponent’s movements. Do you understand?"
He nodded his head, looking at Odelia and Sean who finally got into the car and left the place to fly to Zondalia.
Inside the plane, Odelia sat down while straightening her legs. Sean gave her pastries and other cakes so that she would focus on her food instead of feeling sad.
The brown-haired man watched his wife, remembering his conversation last night with Dasha.
"Please take good care of Odelia, I know I’m not a good mother because I can’t look after her closely. But she will be your wife, she is your responsibility at the moment. I can’t interfere much in her life anymore. So please..."
’I’ll do it, I won’t let her down a second time. I will make her the lucky woman to have me, because that’s how I feel right now being able to have a woman worth more than any diamond like her.’
