I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 41: Buying Baby Equipment
Upon their return to Zondalia, Odelia planned to buy baby equipment such as clothes, baby cribs and so on. Because Sean was busy these days, considering that TechnOzone would be holding a banquet for the company’s anniversary.
So he asked Megan to accompany her. Sean didn’t want Odelia to go alone, worried that something might happen to her. Luckily the woman felt no problem at all and agreed to go with Odelia.
"Choosing baby girl clothes, it must be so much fun! Baby girl clothes are so pretty!" she said excitedly.
"I also can’t wait to look around and choose the right clothes for her. I also need your help to choose a good and safe baby crib for her," said Odelia.
"Take it easy, I’ll definitely help you choose one. I’m sure there will be so many cute baby cribs that you’ll be confused."
Taking Megan’s car, they drove to the mall and took the elevator to the baby equipment floor. There were so many options that Odelia was confused about which one to choose. She was intrigued by some of the items, but she knew she couldn’t possibly buy them all.
"This one shirt is really nice. It looks like it will suit her, but isn’t it too soon to buy this?" she asked her sister-in-law.
Megan turned and looked at Odelia’s choice of clothes, and said that it was not too soon. It seemed that the clothes were for a 3 to 4 month old baby. They could keep it because 3 to 4 months was not a very long time.
"But we also have to focus on buying clothes for newborns. For example, this one over here looks like it’s for newborns. What do you think?" Megan asked Odelia back.
They looked around and chose clothes that looked cute and also suitable for Odelia’s baby to wear later. Apart from choosing clothes they also chose a baby crib that was not too big so that it could be placed in Sean’s room later.
"How about this one? This one has a higher divider and the material seems to be quite strong. The color is also very nice."
The ginger-haired woman looked at the baby crib suggested by her husband’s sister. It seemed that the baby crib did look unique with some beautiful carvings and the color combination of white and pink. It was very cute to look at, and looked simpler than other baby cribs.
They continued to walk around the store to see all the items they might need. Odelia actually wanted to invite Sean to buy clothes and everything else together, considering that this was their baby. But she couldn’t force it as her husband was very busy.
Sean, on the other hand, was eager to go with Odelia to pick out the items for their future baby. However, with work piling up and his company’s big event taking place in two weeks, he had no choice but to stay at the company.
"I wanted to see the clothes that Odelia was going to choose, or maybe I wanted to choose them too. But why does this have to coincide with the company’s anniversary soon?" he muttered while complaining about this without being able to do anything about it.
In the midst of thinking about every document that had to be signed, a message arrived on his cell phone and it was from his wife.
She sent him a photo of a very cute looking baby dress.
[MY ODELIA]
What do you think? Do you like it?
[MY ODELIA] 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
There is a pink color and also a blue color, which one do you think is good for me to choose?
Sean smiled when he saw the message and started replying to it.
[SEAN]
I like the blue one, but she will also look cute in the pink one.
[MY ODELIA]
You’re having a hard time choosing, aren’t you? I feel the same way.
[MY ODELIA]
But maybe we can buy the blue one, she’s already got enough pink.
He was pleased that Odelia had asked him opinion even though he wasn’t there. She sent Sean some other photos that she had chosen and he liked them. What Odelia had chosen was just as he had envisioned.
Knock knock
The door to his office was knocked on by someone before finally a man who was his secretary entered the room carrying some documents in his hands.
"Mr. Sean," he called out.
"Yes?" replied Sean with a happy smile on his face, until he realized he shouldn’t be smiling like that.
He cleared his throat softly as he tried to calm his excitement and impatience at the birth of his daughter.
"Ekhem... Yes? What’s wrong, Ronald?" he asked with his usual serious and stern face.
Ronald was somewhat surprised at the change in his boss’s demeanor. It was obvious that something had made him so happy that he was smiling broadly like that.
"Umn... This is the final report you asked for..." he replied as he placed the document on the table.
"Yes, thank you." Sean tried to focus on the document on the table, occasionally glancing at his cell phone where he was waiting for a reply from Odelia.
He still felt somewhat embarrassed by his reaction to smiling like that in front of his secretary.
"Uhh Mr. Sean, are you..."
"Ronald!" he called out firmly which immediately took the man by surprise. "Get me some cold water, I’m not accepting any questions for now if it’s outside of work. Hurry up!"
"Understood!" Ronald ran out of his boss’s office.
He sighed as he ruffled his own bangs.
"I was too happy to let my guard down and make him see me like that. How stupid," he muttered in annoyance. "But..."
Sean picked up his cell phone and looked at Odelia who had taken a picture of herself eating a sizable strawberry creepes along with Megan to keep Sean informed. He couldn’t help but smile every time he saw his wife’s beautiful, smiling face.
He really couldn’t wait for their baby to be born and complete their happiness even further. Taking care of her, raising her with all their hearts, giving her the love she deserved.
"And after Little One is born, you will officially become my wife, Odelia. I’ll marry you, saying our wedding vows loud and clear so they know you’re mine."
