Chapter 46: Complicated Problem

At lunchtime, Sean returned to his house feeling rather confused and not knowing how he was going to tell Odelia about this. The reason was, he was worried that Odelia would feel uneasy about the news he was about to say. πŸπ•£π—²π•–π•¨π—²π›π—»π—Όπ―π—²πš•.π—°πš˜π¦

But the man knew he had to say it because it was directly related to his wife.

Klak

The door opened and Odelia walked to greet Sean at the door. Her stomach was already heavy, making it a little difficult for her to walk.

"You’re home, how was the meeting?" she asked as she helped him out of his suit.

"Everything went well and smoothly, luckily there were no problems at all," Sean replied and kissed her forehead.

"That’s good then. Let’s have lunch, I’ve made lunch for the two of us," Odelia invited tugging gently on his hand.

He sighed and apologized to her for not getting home earlier to help Odelia make lunch. But she said that she was fine with it and they ate lunch together.

Finished with lunch, they relaxed at the family room while enjoying the juice Odelia had made. He continued to look at her quizzically, as the ginger-haired woman told him about Megan coming back next week.

"Odelia, I actually have something to say. I don’t want to worry you by telling you now, but sooner or later you have to know this," Sean said.

"What is it?" asked Odelia with a puzzled look at her husband.

"I’ve made an application for marriage to the ministry in North Zondalia. Today I got an email back."

Sean explained that the application had been rejected because Odelia was still the wife of Vincent Percy. Their divorce had not been officially reported to the ministry, so Odelia could not marry Sean without proof that she and Vincent were divorced.

"The Zondalian rule is that a woman cannot be married to two men. However, you have to be able to divorce him officially with a letter that you and he sign," Sean explained.

"So... I have to get Vin’s signature first?"

He nodded. "That’s the only way we can get legally married. Otherwise, they won’t accept our marriage application."

Odelia was silent when she heard that, there was no way she could ask for the signature of her ex-husband who even kept asking for her back to him. Vincent always said that they were not yet legally divorced and Odelia was still his wife.

If she asked for his signature, Vincent would obviously refuse it so that she would remain his. Sean said that he had come directly to the ministry building, and explained the circumstances under which Odelia had signed the letter, plus that she and Vincent had not been together for a long time.

But they couldn’t do anything about it. They were just following the rules that required divorce papers with signatures from both parties.

"I don’t know why things are this complicated. The problem will be very long, especially after what he said to you," said Sean frustrated with the current situation.

He was one step away from making Odelia completely his, but there were obstacles in their marriage that required them to wait longer.

They didn’t even know how long they would have to wait until Vincent would voluntarily let Odelia go and divorce her.

"Vin will definitely reject it, do you remember the last time we met him? He even said that he wouldn’t let me go. If we come and ask him, he’ll laugh at us about this," said a worried Odelia.

She felt confused, why did all this have to happen?

’I was already happy, away from Vin and his family, but why did there have to be problems like this? Why does fate seem to bring me back to him again? I only want Sean right now. Please... I don’t want to go back to Vin,’ she said silently, begging for something that might change her destiny.

Sean took her hand, telling her not to worry about this right now. He wanted Odelia to focus until she gave birth.

"This matter, I will take care of it later. It’s better that you don’t think about it too much and calm your mind, do you understand?" he asked.

"Yes, I understand..." She leaned against Sean while rubbing her stomach.

However she was still worried, she also had to think about how she could get Vincent’s autograph. Odelia wondered if she should just forge it. She knew very well what Vincent’s signature looked like and she could definitely make a replica of it.

’But that would be against the rules and if it got caught, it would be a much bigger problem,’ she thought.

She sighed softly, trying to calm herself down and forget about the matter for a moment rather than dwelling on it at a time like this.

’I hope something good will come soon.

"An autograph from her ex-husband? Isn’t that a big deal? I’m sure that jerk won’t want to sign it. You have to do something, Sean," a woman commented as she was communicating with her brother over the phone.

"I know, I’ve been trying to think of a way to do it for the past two days. But I don’t know what to do. Especially since I hit him that time, he won’t want to see me," Sean replied over the phone.

Megan sighed harshly, even though she wanted to see her brother happy, but apparently there was still a barrier to his happiness with the emergence of this problem.

"We can pay someone for this. There must be something we can do! There are people who sell services like that, right?"

"It’s illegal, it’ll lead to bigger problems. We should find another solution," he replied.

The woman drank her coffee as she sat in the open-air cafΓ© feeling the breeze of the city morning.

As she sat enjoying her morning, a man suddenly sat on the chair in front of her.

"You’re the woman from two days ago, the woman who tried to seduce me. I thought you had run away to make a fool of yourself," the man said suddenly.

She raised her head, looking at the man sitting across from her. Megan gasped in shock at seeing the man again. She reflexively turned off her phone with a slightly panicked look on her face.

"L-Lorenzo?"
