I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 54: Take A Break Just You And Me
Odelia’s POV
I sat in front of the dressing table while putting on my earrings. Tonight, Sean and I were going to go to dinner on a cruise. I was actually very happy when he asked me to have dinner together, but I was just still worried about leaving Carmelia.
"Are you ready, Odelia?" he asked while straightening the suit he was wearing.
"Yes, I’m done. Shall we go now?" I asked and he nodded.
I stood up and picked up my bag, walking towards my daughter’s crib, looking at her who was fast asleep.
"I’ll be gone for a while, I’ll be back tomorrow morning. You have your grandmother, uncle and aunt at home, so you don’t have to be afraid, okay?" I stroked her soft cheek with my finger.
"When i come home later, I’ll be there for you," said Sean, rubbing Carmelia’s head.
I smiled at how much Sean loved Carmelia. The two of us then went out of the room and there was already Megan sitting waiting on the sofa.
She immediately approached us and said that she was ready to look after her niece.
"My breastmilk is in the fridge in the room. You warm it up a bit with..."
"Take it easy, Odelia. I can do it. You and Sean go and have fun. I’ll take good care of Carmelia!" she said excitedly.
I was happy that there was someone I could confide my daughter to. However, as a mother I was still worried about that.
What if she cries and looks for me? It will be difficult to leave when the cruise has already sailed into the middle of the ocean. There’s no way we can use a lifeboat to return to the harbor, right?
"Are you guys leaving already?" I saw Sam come out of his room and approach us.
"Yes, Odelia and I will be back tomorrow morning after breakfast. Please look after Carmelia until we get back." Sean wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
"I’ll do what I can, I don’t know how to take care of a baby. And I think she’s just going to be very noisy and panicky later," Sam replied, glancing at Megan.
"Hey, I’m not like that!"
The two of them argued with each other a bit. It turned out that the two of them got along quite well even though they had only met for a few days, which was good. Megan also seemed to be okay with Sam and mom being around.
"Then go, you might miss the boat."
I nodded and Sean took my hand. We walked to the car and then to the harbor to board our cruise ship.
I had gone on a dinner cruise with Vin before, but this time I was going with Sean. I’m sure this time will be different from when I was with my ex-husband.
Moreover, Sean did it so that I wouldn’t be too stressed looking after Carmelia all the time. He wants me to rest and have time to calm down. It’s just Sean and me for dinner tonight.
I can’t wait to get there and spend some one-on-one time with him. Now that I’m not pregnant, it will definitely be easier to do some things together with him.
"The tickets are with you, right? We shouldn’t leave it at home."
"Don’t worry, the tickets are in my bag. I’ve brought everything we need," I replied.
He smiled and rubbed my head for a moment before returning his focus to driving. It felt so good when he started touching my head.
Finally our car arrived at the harbor, Sean opened the door for me and always protected my head with his arm.
We walked up to the cruise ship and saw the view from up here. It was a beautiful sunset.
"I’ve always loved this view. The beautiful sunset, the orange color of the sky. The sun sinking into the sea..."
It really is very beautiful...
"Yes, very beautiful. I like it too," he told me.
I turned to my husband, but he wasn’t looking at the setting sun. Instead, he was looking at me.
"A suitable color for your beautiful ginger hair, Odelia." He pulled my hair slightly and kissed it.
My heart felt like it was beating very fast, seeing him kiss my hair which even looked very striking. His hands pulled my body towards him and he kissed my forehead.
He hugged me from behind as we watched this beautiful scenery from the cruise that was starting to sail. I could feel his face nuzzle into the top of my head. His hands kept gripping mine and rubbing my knuckles.
The sun was finally replaced by an equally beautiful moon. Starting a beautiful night between me and Sean. I took in our surroundings, looking at the other guests.
They looked very elegant and beautiful in their dresses. As for me...
I looked down, looking at my stomach which still hadn’t returned to normal. I still look fat, and even my dress has become a bit folded. It’s so embarrassing, Sean will definitely feel ashamed if he realizes it.
I look bad for him, I knew I shouldn’t be wearing this dress right now...
"Odelia, what’s wrong baby?" Sean lifted my chin, looking into her worried eyes.
"Sorry, I must look bad for you. All the women here look beautiful and slender. But I’m just..."
Before I could say anything, Sean suddenly pulled me into his deep kiss. What’s wrong with him?
As he pulled away, he looked at me with a piercing gaze. What... Is he angry?
"Don’t say such stupid things! You’re like this after giving birth to our daughter, I already told you not to think about your body shape because it won’t change your nature at all! Do you understand?" he asked in a serious tone.
He cupped my cheeks with both hands and I nodded in understanding. Unconsciously, my tears started flowing. I don’t understand, how did I get a man like him?
Have I been a good person all this time, that’s why nature sent him to me?
"I don’t want to hear you talk like that anymore, do you hear me?"
His thumbs wiping away my tears, I smiled while holding his hands on my cheeks.
"Yes, I understand. I won’t say that again," I answered him.
My eyes closed as he kissed my forehead gently.
"Good, that’s the answer I wanted to hear from you."
