Chapter 58: You Want Me to Sign This Letter?

In a company, a man walks into the CEO’s room on the top floor of the building. He looked like he had information that his boss would want to hear.

Knock knock

Knocking on the door of the boss’s room, it sounded as if he was letting him in.

As soon as the door opened, a blond-haired man was busy with paperwork on his desk.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Vincent. I brought the data you requested," he said and placed a folder of documents on the desk.

"Good, Neil. I’ll finish this one first and then check the data," Vincent replied.

"Very well. And I also have something to tell you, Mr. Vincent."

"Tell me."

Neil said that he had received information that Odelia had given birth three weeks ago. Hearing this, Vincent’s hand, which had been turning over sheets of paper, immediately stopped.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes, sir. Plus I also got an email from Mr. Osbert who wants to meet you," Neil said again.

"Osbert wants to meet me? Heh, what does he want? Laughing at me and showing off his child to me?" asked Vincent who looked sick of hearing the man’s name.

But Neil shook his head, saying that he didn’t know what Sean wanted to do. But the email said that he had important things to talk about.

Knowing this, Vincent finally agreed to meet and said that Sean could come to his office the day after tomorrow. Neil nodded and said he would let him know.

Vincent was curious, what did Sean want to talk to him about? Was it that important that Sean wanted to meet him?

"For some reason I feel like something good is about to happen."

On the promised day, Sean and Ronald came to Yozara’s company and went to meet Vincent. Several employees at the company noticed Sean coming to the place. Some of them recognized him as the CEO of their rival company.

That’s why they whispered about what the man wanted to do to come to Yozara. It was the same when Vincent came to TechnOzone.

Knock knock

"Mr. Percy, Mr. Sean is here. Allow us to enter," said Ronald, knocking on the door.

"Yes, come in."

The door opened, and it was Neil who opened the door. Ronald and Neil stared at each other sharply, as if they didn’t like each other. Especially after Sean had beaten Vincent up.

They both entered and were invited to sit on the sofa. Vincent looked both curious and proud that Sean had finally come to see him because he needed him.

"So what did you want to talk about, Osbert? I heard you wanted to talk about something important. I told you that you would be the one to come to me one day," Vincent said.

"Yes, I know. I honestly admit that I made a mistake by hitting you that day. I hope you don’t make a big deal out of it anymore because I did the right thing to make you realize it," Sean replied.

"Wake me up from what? You came here still with that attitude?"

"Right, because I didn’t like how you treated her. But let’s put that aside for now. The reason I’m here is to ask you to sign this letter."

He coded Ronald to hand Vincent the document they were carrying. It was certain that it was the divorce papers between Vincent and Odelia. Sean had deliberately come there to get things over with.

The man did have to lower his ego a little to be able to get what he needed right now.

"Divorce papers? What are you talking about?" Vincent asked.

He was silent for a moment then began to realize why Sean had asked him to sign the papers.

"Ah right... Odelia is still legally my wife, which is why you can’t legally marry her. So you came to me to ask me to sign this letter," he said.

"Yes, that was my main reason for coming here. You should be aware and Odelia’s decision was also very clear if she chose me over you. If you really want to see her happy, sign the letter and it’s done," Sean replied.

Vincent really wanted to see Odelia happy because he really loved her. He also realized that on the day they met again at Sean’s office, Odelia didn’t want to see him anymore and chose to be with Sean and the baby.

He just needed to do that signature and everything was done between him and Odelia who hadn’t even been together for a year.

However, the man refused to do so.

"I do want her to be happy, but with me, not with you!" he replied and tore up each sheet of the divorce papers and threw them in front of Sean’s face.

"Mr. Percy, show some respect for Mr. Sean! You can’t just tear up that letter, we came in with cooler heads!" said Ronald firmly defending his boss.

"Watch what you say to Mr. Vincent! Who do you think started it by hitting Mr. Vincent that day?" retorted Neil.

"You mean after Mr. Percy hurt the pregnant Mrs. Osbert? Did you expect Mr. Sean to keep quiet? You should be ashamed of what you did!"

"You-!"

"That’s enough Ronald. There’s no need to say anything more," Sean said stopping his secretary.

Neil looked so annoyed, he waited for Vincent’s order to finally throw the two men out of his office.

And sure enough, Vincent stood up from his chair and looked at Sean who was also standing in front of him.

"I will never sign that letter! Odelia will always be mine and my wife!" he said firmly. "Now get out of my office, because no matter how much you give me, I will never do it!"

Eventually security arrived to take Sean and Ronald away. They might not be able to get that autograph directly from Vincent.

But that didn’t mean Sean couldn’t officially marry Odelia. Sean could still do it, but that meant Odelia would have to make her and Vincent’s marriage vows expire.

"Until death do us part."

However, Sean couldn’t possibly do that, so he tried to find another way to make Odelia his.

Vincent sat back in his chair, staring at the view from the window behind him.

"Legally Odelia is still mine. She’s still my wife and no one can take her away from me..."

As he continued to mutter that sentence over and over again, Vincent seemed to have an idea that flashed through his head.

"That means I’m entitled to her back, doesn’t it?" he asked as he turned his work chair towards Neil.

"Legally, Odelia should stay with me. And you know what I mean, Neil?"

"You’re going to contact the legal department to get her back?" Neil asked.

A grin appeared on Vincent’s face, imagining Odelia who was back in his arms again after all this time and there was no law that could prohibit him or criminalize him for this.

"Bingo."
