Chapter 59: Strange Feelings

After Sean returned from Yozara Company, he went straight home to calm himself down. His anger was so high, he almost threatened Vincent to take his life so that Odelia would become a widow and he would finally marry her.

But he was still thinking about the big risk he would get later. He didn’t want to get a bad name, especially since his company had many employees.

Social law in Zondalia was very influential. If the CEO of TechnOzone was caught committing premeditated murder, people would not want to buy their products anymore. Resulting in the company going bankrupt.

"Forget it, I wouldn’t do something crazy like that," he said and stopped the car at the door.

He walked into the house, as he went towards the family room, it turned out that Odelia was there along with Carmelia. She sat down while straightening her legs, laying their baby on her feet.

"Carmelia! Hehe... Hello dear. Are you hungry, hmn?" asked Odelia.

Carmelia seemed to just smile while moving her body as if stretching it.

Seeing this scene made Sean feel calmer. He walked in to join them.

"Hey, what are you two doing without me?" he asked and sat down next to his wife.

"Oh daddy’s home, hello daddy." She picked up the baby’s body and held it close to Sean.

He kissed his daughter’s cheek, making her close her eyes but look happy to feel her father’s affection.

"How was your work today? Everything okay?" asked Odelia.

However, Sean told Odelia the truth that he had met the man and talked about signing the divorce papers. Unfortunately, Vincent refused to do so.

Knowing this, Odelia felt a bad feeling as if something was going to happen. But she didn’t know if it was just a momentary premonition or not. But she hoped nothing would happen later.

"Take it easy, I’ll try other ways. I’m sure there will be one for you to get rid of him," Sean said and then rubbed Odelia’s head.

"Yes, please do whatever it takes. I don’t want to get back together with him. I don’t want to, I don’t want to be separated from you and Carmelia," Odelia pleaded with her husband.

She really refused and wanted to fight not to go back with Vincent even though he had never treated her badly at all. But that meant Odelia would be stuck with his family again. That was a big problem for her.

For four years she had been tormented enough without being able to fight back and instead continued to be tormented. Even if she fought them now, it would be difficult if they took her to court.

She couldn’t fight Vincent’s family for that long because they were respected and wealthy. Odelia, on the other hand, was just an ordinary woman who would clearly lose because she had no clear evidence that she had been mistreated, even verbally or non-verbally abused.

’They have money, and that will be very powerful when it comes to dealing with an ordinary woman like me,’ she thought worriedly.

Seeing the agitated Odelia, Sean immediately hugged her and kissed her forehead. "I’ll make sure you’re safe with me," he said as he rubbed Odelia’s back and stroked Carmelia’s head.

’I just want to be with you, Sean. I don’t want to go back there.’

For a few days everything went on as usual, but the strange feeling that Odelia felt still lingered. Her chest still felt so heavy, but she didn’t know what bad things would happen. She always asked Sean to be careful and he complied.

Odelia also felt that it must just be her worry that she didn’t want to get back together with Vincent. So she dismissed those feelings and went about her usual activities at home taking care of the housework and also Carmelia.

"Odelia, when will Carmelia be able to eat food other than breast milk?" Megan asked.

"Hmn... My mom says to give it to her at 6 months. That’s much better," she replied.

"I see..." She nodded in understanding.

Megan then looked at Odelia with wonder, was it true that Odelia didn’t know about Samuel’s work all this time? Even though she was his older sister. Had Odelia never asked him about this at all?

"Odelia, do you know about Sam’s job?" she asked again.

"Hmn? So far I don’t know. He never wanted to tell me. All I know is that he works quite far from home, that’s why he rarely stays with my mother anymore," the woman replied as she patted her daughter on the back.

"Really? What if you knew he was working with... A dangerous job? Like thugs or..."

Odelia looked confused when she heard that. She knew that Samuel disliked criminals, even her younger brother preferred to help others, hated extortion and violence. If he didn’t have to, he wouldn’t do it.

’Huh? But all of those things were completely opposite! His job as a mobster requires him to do all those things!’ thought Megan who was quite surprised when she heard Odelia’s answer.

In Odelia’s eyes, Samuel was a kind and gentle man with a bad temper. But she had no idea that the man’s job forced him to become someone else who acted 180 degrees away from the Samuel she was used to seeing.

"What’s wrong? Do you miss Sam?" asked Odelia with a chuckle.

Megan’s face immediately turned red at the question. She immediately denied it even though she did miss the grumpy man a little. But there was no way Megan would admit it. Especially in front of Odelia.

"Of course not! Why would I miss a man like him? He’s just so annoying!"

"Really? Too bad, Sam asked about you yesterday."

"Are you serious?! He asked about me? What did he ask?" asked Megan curiously while approaching Odelia’s face.

But she laughed at Megan’s reaction which immediately annoyed Megan.

"You’re just lying, aren’t you?" she asked in exasperation.

"Sorry, you look very--"

Ding dong!

They both turned their heads when they heard the bell ring. Megan stood up from the carpet and walked to the front door to open it, to see who had come to her house.

"Hello, how can I help you?" she asked when she saw two men in black suits.

"Is this really Odelia Grace’s residence?" asked one of them.

"Yes, who are you?"

In the family room, the curious Odelia immediately laid Carmelia on a small mattress and then followed her sister-in-law.

"Are you the one named Odelia Grace?" they asked again when they saw her.

"Yes, I’m Odelia. What is the need for you to look for me?" asked the confused Odelia.

They took out a letter which was shown to Odelia.

"We, the social agency, have orders to take you back to the Percy Family on the basis of family status law!"

Her blue eyes widened when she heard that.

"What?!"
