Chapter 75: She Have A Lover?

Since Megan was away at dinner with Henry, Odelia spent dinner time alone with Sean. They both talked about a lot of things that they couldn’t say in front of Megan when she was there with them.

"You know, I heard that Megan is going to look for a new home for herself," Sean said.

"Really? That means she’s moving out soon?"

He nodded. "Yeah, well, she thinks we need some time together in this house. So she’s decided to move out. It’s just..."

"What’s wrong?" asked Odelia as she looked at Sean who felt doubtful about it.

"I was thinking that we should just move and let Megan stay in this house," he replied.

According to him, the house was already big enough for them. But Sean wanted them to have a backyard and a more secure gate to protect their home, not just a fence and no gate to securely lock their home area.

"I want our kids to have a play area at the back of the house. They can study there and we can relax together. There are also only four rooms in this house. It won’t be enough if there are guests and our kids later. So I’m thinking about a bigger house, maybe have a library and so on," Sean explained.

Odelia felt that her husband’s idea was a good one, and she also wanted to have a flower garden at the back of the house that she could take care of herself. Feeling the fresh air every day there.

However, that meant they had to hire servants to clean the house. There was no way Odelia could do everything alone in such a large house.

"We could get few maids for the day. So they come two to three times a week to clean the house, then after that it’s just us at home, how about that?"

"I think that’s a good idea. I can still cook for us and help tidy up our rooms. I don’t mind as long as they’re not home every day," she replied.

They then talked about the new house Sean might buy and the time it would take to renovate if Odelia agreed to it. He wanted her to be in charge of the kitchen as that would be Odelia’s area for cooking and so on. She was very happy to hear that because she have her own kitchen dreams.

"But for now, we also have to focus on thinking about the divorce papers. That’s the most important thing for now, after we get the letter and the divorce is done. We can get married legally," he said.

"I understand, I’ll also help think of a way to get it," she replied.

After dinner, Sean washed the dishes while Odelia checked on Carmelia in the room, whether she was awake or not. Luckily, she was still fast asleep and her diaper wasn’t full.

Ring ring ring

Her cell phone rang, making her pick it up and see who was calling her at the moment.

"Sam? He doesn’t usually call me," she muttered and picked up her brother’s phone. "Hello Sam, what’s up?"

"Odelia, how are you? I heard you were having problems with that blonde bastard," Samuel answered over the phone.

"Oh... Did Megan say that? Yes, there’s been another problem with Vin. We’re trying to work things out. Don’t tell mom about this, okay?"

Samuel said he wouldn’t tell their mother about this. But he was still worried about Odelia and felt he wanted to help even though he didn’t know what he could do. She didn’t even know that he was a mobster.

If she had known, Odelia would have clearly forbidden it because she didn’t like violence.

"It’s okay, Sean and I are handling this. Even Samantha and Alice are on our side, they’ll help to stop Vin. It’s just that we need something to do it," she explains.

"Okay, I understand that. Megan also told me everything two days ago."

"Really? You two seem to be getting closer to each other. What have you been talking about, hmn?" asked Odelia teasingly at her younger brother.

He denied there was anything between the two of them, and Samuel even said that he wasn’t interested in Megan. However, as an older sister, Odelia continued to tease him.

"Don’t say anything weird! What if she hears it and misunderstands? She’ll make fun of me when I call her later!"

"Take it easy, Megan’s not home right now. She’s out on a dinner date with a friend from high school," she replied which instantly made Samuel pause.

"She’s... Going on a date with her high school friend?"

She confirmed that, replying that Megan had left an hour and a half ago. Samuel became even more silent and didn’t answer anything for almost a few seconds until he finally spoke again.

"Oh good then, she won’t age alone."

No one know what he was thinking at the moment, but the thought of Megan having a boyfriend made him quite disturbed. ’So she had a lover all along? Heh, I didn’t expect anyone to want her,’ he thought at the time.

"Sam, what’s wrong?" asked Odelia who felt something was wrong with him.

"Huh? It’s nothing. I just--" He hadn’t finished speaking, his words were cut off by the presence of someone.

"Honey, are you home?" From the phone, she could hear a woman’s voice calling Samuel affectionately.

’Who is that woman’s voice? Is she Sam’s girlfriend? Why doesn’t he say anything about his girlfriend?’ Odelia thought curiously.

She also heard Samuel and the woman on the phone. Odelia couldn’t hear the commotion clearly, but she was sure that Samuel sounded like he wasn’t happy with what the woman had done, before finally hanging up.

Leaving a question in Odelia’s mind at the moment.

"Ahh... Even though I haven’t finished chatting with him. Maybe his lover is missing him? Well then, just let him be with that woman. I’d rather be alone with Sean too."

She put her cell phone on the table and went out of the room to catch up with Sean. She wanted to take advantage of this time to spend some time alone while baby Carmelia was still fast asleep.
