Chapter 98: Slowly Recovering

After a long and tiring struggle, everything finally paid off with Sean gradually recovering and being able to walk using a cane. Although there are many things he still doesn’t remember and the way he walks is still a little difficult.

Sean felt that it was enough for him to be a baby and always sit on the sofa without being able to do anything. So he decided to go to the company to try to get back to work while collecting all his memories again.

With Ronald accompanying and picking Sean up in the company car, he got ready to go to work.

"Be careful at the company, you have to watch the step around you so you don’t slip," said Odelia who was actually very worried about this decision. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"I’ll remember that," Sean replied and kissed Odelia on the forehead.

"Dada!" called Carmelia who was in her arms. She also wanted to get a kiss from her father.

He chuckled then kissed his daughter’s cheek. "I’ll be home as soon as my work is done."

Odelia nodded then turned to Ronald who was waiting near the car.

"Ronald, please make sure Sean is all right," she said.

"Of course Mrs. Osbert!" he replied, feeling responsible for what had happened to his boss.

Slowly, Sean walked to the car with his cane and got into the car. He lowered the windshield to give a small wave and left the house.

Upon arriving at the company, Ronald helped him down and they walked into the building. Many employees were surprised to see Sean finally return. Moreover, he came back with a walking cane.

Although some employees felt that it reduced the authority of Sean who usually walked tall and charismatic. But most of them still felt that their current boss was still the Sean who always came with his stern face.

With some of his memories back and also what he learned for today’s meeting, Sean was confident that he could do his job again. If he went back to his office and started seeing the same atmosphere, he was sure that slowly all those things would return.

"Our meeting is on the eighth floor, Mr. Sean," Ronald said and they entered the elevator that took them to the eighth floor.

In front of the meeting room, Sean took a breath and then entered the meeting room. Everyone was surprised and stood up from their seats to welcome their CEO after a long time.

So did Sophie, although she was somewhat amused to see Sean using a cane.

"Good morning everyone, I apologize for my absence due to circumstances that I’m sure you’ve all heard about. And it’s true, I’m still recovering but I know I have a big responsibility in this company so I hope for your cooperation to remind me what I’ve forgotten," he said firmly while looking at all the employees attending the meeting.

"But don’t ever try to deceive me, because I will know if what you say is true or you are trying to take advantage of my situation. Do you understand?"

"Yes, we understand Mr. Osbert!" they all replied.

He nodded and allowed them to return to their seats, as well as himself assisted by Ronald. He was also the one who would ascertain whether the other employees were trying to deceive him or not since only Ronald knew a lot about Sean’s plans for the company so far.

Given that he was a secretary who knew many things that Sean had not had time to tell his deputy CEO.

Finished with his meeting, Sean and Ronald went to his office. There he looked around his office and vaguely remembered some things that had happened in the room.

Including the commotion that had occurred between him and Vincent. And he remembered that the man had died the same day he woke up from his coma.

"Mr. Sean, are you all right?" asked Ronald as he looked at the dreamy Sean.

"Ronald, what happened to Yozara Company this time?" he asked.

"Oh about that, did Miss Megan not tell you? I got an email from the Percy Family that the Yozara Company is going through a major shakeup after the death of their CEO. And they intend to sell Yozara to us, Mr. Sean," the secretary explained.

Upon hearing this, Sean felt that he might be able to buy Yozara and make it the second company of TechnOzone. But he was still thinking about this, he needed more information about Yozara Company that he might have forgotten.

"Ronald, tell me everything about Yozara Company that you know."

At home, Odelia waited worriedly, but she was confident that Sean would pull through. She already felt like her husband was back to his old self, even if he was still a little forgetful.

But the cozy atmosphere with him was already much better than when Sean had just woken up from his coma until a few days later.

"He’s getting better, I have high hopes for his speedy recovery. Right, Carmelia?"

The girl looked up at her mother while eating the mashed avocado.

"Dada?" she called looking around for Sean because while Sean was at home, Carmelia continued to spend time with her father.

"Daddy’s at work, dear. He’ll be home later. Do you miss your father, hmn?"

She fed Carmelia and then continued with the housework while her daughter played in the living room. Ever since Sean started using his cane, Odelia was less tired of taking care of her husband.

In the afternoon, Sean returned home to be greeted by his daughter who excitedly crawled towards him.

"Oh hey Carmelia, did you miss me?" he asked then walked towards the living room so he could sit down and lift her body up. "Is your mom making dinner?"

She laughed and looked very happy to see her father again.

Not long after, Odelia came and walked over to the two of them. She was relieved that he seemed to be doing well.

"Everything going well?" asked Odelia.

"Yes, everything is according to my plan. Luckily Ronald has a lot of data that I don’t remember so I can study it again and I’m slowly starting to remember the atmosphere of my office and my time there," he replied.

She smiled and sat down next to Sean, saying that she was glad to hear that. Sean nodded, he would try to go through the rest of the place to get other memories that had been forgotten.

"And... There’s one thing we want to do," he said.

"What is it? Just tell me, I’ll try to help you."

He was silent for a moment before finally answering.

"Let’s go to Percy’s grave."
