Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 54: Night at Cain City
Noah invited them to eat at one of the restaurants closest to their location. Aiden noticed that there weren’t too many people there.
They started ordering, Aurora being the most excited as she could see the different types of fish dishes on the menu.
"Choose what you like," Noah replied, pointing to the menu.
Aurora nodded. Surprisingly, Aurora ordered from the fish menu one by one. Aiden was shocked, looking at the menu and seeing the prices.
’Damn! Noah’s money could run out because of her,’ Aiden explained.
Aiden interrupted Aurora and told the cashier that they were ordering the best dish of fish they had, just one, not ten.
"Okay," said the cashier.
They took seats close to the restaurant’s wall. Aurora looked happy, it was her first time eating well in a restaurant.
Even so, Aiden wasn’t too happy. The curse had caused him to lose his sense of taste, making everything he ate bland.
"Who exactly are those two?" Aiden asked.
"They’re John and Alpha. They’re known for causing trouble," Noah replied.
"Especially when they see Aurora, their desire to take control of her is obvious," Noah added.
Aiden looked over, Aurora was indeed an innocent and vulnerable girl, she wasn’t yet a year old in this world but Aiden was sure that a dragon’s age was different from a human.
With her lack of previous experience, Aurora was a girl who was quite vulnerable to anything.
However, lucky for Aiden, the girl’s unstable temperament and her amazing ice powers allowed her to protect herself.
According to Aiden, no one in Cain City could match her.
It wasn’t long before their food arrived. Aurora smiled as she smelled the fragrant spices sprinkled on the grilled fish.
Quickly, Aurora ate the food like a barbarian, not using a knife or fork.
Aiden gasped at the way Aurora ate, remembering that he didn’t pay much attention to her when she ate.
Noah looked to the side. Again, he found Aurora’s behavior odd. He continued to stare at Aiden as if asking about the girl’s psychological state.
"She’s just innocent and happy, you don’t have to worry about her," Aiden explained, reassuring Noah.
Noah and Aiden began to eat their food. Both of them ate with forks and knives, a drastic difference compared to Aurora.
After a few bites, Aiden still didn’t taste anything, even his tongue couldn’t feel the spicy taste of the chili.
"What’s wrong? This grilled fish is delicious, are you allergic?" Noah asked.
"I have no desire to eat," Aiden replied, handing his grilled fish to Aurora.
Without hesitation, the girl took Aiden’s grilled fish and devoured it, even the bones and fish head were gone.
Noah was both shocked and amazed. He’d never seen a girl as beautiful and graceful as Aurora eat in such a barbaric way that it was all gone.
"What’s wrong?" asked Aurora, her mouth smeared with grilled fish sauce.
"You," Aiden grumbled, taking a clean handkerchief and cleaning the fish sauce from the area around Aurora’s mouth.
Aurora smiled, pursing her lips like a baby to make it easier for Aiden to remove the marinade.
Noah nodded, seeing Aiden and Aurora’s demeanor, Noah assumed that the two were similar to siblings.
The three finished eating. Aurora looked satisfied with her eyes closed, complimenting the food several times that it was really good.
"Do you guys have a place to stay?" asked Noah, Aiden shaking his head.
Noah suggested they stay at an inn in the east of the city, the farther away from the city center, the cheaper the price per night.
Aiden would keep that in mind. Currently, he had 4 silver and 5 bronze. According to Noah’s explanation, the price of a one-day stay at the inn in the east of the city was 1 silver per room.
The man excused himself, saying that all the food was paid for by him. Aiden thanked him, and Aurora seemed to be starting to relax with him.
"We’ll meet again tomorrow morning at the Adventurer’s Guild office. Don’t be late," Noah said, and Aiden nodded in agreement.
After he left, Aiden and Aurora walked to the east of the city. Aurora looked pleased with the dinner she had eaten, the best meal she had ever had.
Aiden glanced to the side. Among the people in this city, Aurora was the only one wearing a long ice-blue dress like a princess. Her appearance was enough to attract people’s attention.
As the two walked on the main street of the city, Aiden stopped when he saw a boutique in the area. The boutique was still open at night, though there weren’t many customers.
Aurora looked back when she saw Aiden stop and stare at the boutique, there was no interest for Aurora to buy any of their clothes.
A female staffer came over to Aiden, asking if there were any clothes he wanted to buy.
Aiden took out 2 silver and 5 bronze to her while saying if there were any cheap and suitable women’s suits at that price.
The female staff was silent for a while, then turned to call her friend. After a long conversation, they said that they had a stock of such cheap suits.
They pulled out a pair of black shorts and a simple gray T-shirt. They said that it was the only cheap outfit worth 2 silver and 5 bronze that they had.
"Do you want to buy clothes?" asked Aurora.
"These are clothes for you," Aiden replied.
"Clothes for me? What’s wrong with the dress I’m wearing?" asked Aurora.
"There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just that you look too flashy for people," Aiden replied.
"Really?"
"Do you think so?" asked Aurora to the two female staffers in front of her.
They gasped at being asked such a question by Aurora. The two looked at each other, then responded accordingly.
"If you’re an adventurer, that suit can’t be worn by adventurers. Besides, the tail of your dress could also make it difficult for you to enter the dungeon," replied the female staff.
"Hmm, is that so?" asked Aurora, looking at the dress she was wearing.
Aurora began to realize something when she looked at the two female staffers’ outfits and Aiden’s.
Long dresses weren’t really suitable for her current condition, it was better to wear something more casual.
"Then I’ll just wear your clothes," Aurora replied.
"Wh-What do you mean?" asked Aiden, shocked.
At the moment, Aiden was wearing a black shirt with an ash pattern, long pants, and a cape over his shoulders. Aiden really didn’t know what Aurora meant by saying such a thing.
Aurora touched Aiden’s clothes and began her transformation. Her dress glowed brightly and began to change into the exact same suit as Aiden’s, much to their surprise.
"Y-You can do clothing transformation magic?" the female staffer asked.
"No, I just copied Aiden’s clothes with my magic. It worked because he’s my master," Aurora explained.
"Master?"
’This conversation has gone too far,’ Aiden explained.
He abandoned the purchase and walked Aurora away from the boutique. The two of them were already dressed in the exact same clothes, and Aurora even had a black cloak wrapped around her neck.
"How do I look?" asked Aurora, and Aiden nodded.
"That’s better, you won’t attract people’s attention," Aiden replied. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
’Why do the clothes have to be the same? They’ll think she and I are a couple,’ Aiden explained.
’My head is so dizzy, I want to get to the inn and get some rest right away.’
