Chapter 65: The Another Two-Magic Synchronization

Aiden was still resting in the cave. He turned his head to the side and looked at the ice wall at the cave’s entrance.

Because it was night, he could see the red glow coming from behind the ice wall. He guessed that it was the villagers who were suspicious of their arrival.

Even so, none of them were brave or strong enough to destroy the wall. Aurora’s strength was better than those who did not learn magic, even stronger than the Acolyte or early Adept tier mages.

"She’s recovered," Aurora told her, stepping away from Rachel.

Rachel woke up, looking silently to the side, precisely at Aurora who had healed her. Then she flew forward and perched on Aiden’s shoulder.

"Hey, how you doing?" asked Aiden, rubbing the black dragon’s head.

It closed its eyes, as if enjoying the gentle touch of Aiden’s hand. Aurora walked over to them, the hatred in her heart slowly fading at the sight of Rachel.

"You’d better start doing a two-magic synchronization with her, so that she doesn’t stay in her black dragon form," Aurora explained.

"You’re right. She’s probably in a weak stage of ability, my power with her is probably balanced," Aiden explained, Aurora nodding in agreement.

Aiden knew what he had to do to start the two-magic synchronization with Rachel. He placed Rachel on the table, then brought out the fire energy in his hand which shot directly at Rachel’s forehead.

At that moment, a notification panel appeared explaining that the two-magic synchronization had begun, as well as a warning panel and its progress.

[Two-magic synchronization begins]

[Warning! The process of two magic synchronization can be varied. Differences in the abilities of the Tamer and the Beast are affected]

[Two-Magic Synchronization progress:]

[1,8%]

After only a few minutes of two-magic synchronization, Aiden was pleasantly surprised by the good and fast progress, much faster than doing it with Aurora.

’Is it perhaps because the Shadow Dragon’s rank is only SS that its abilities aren’t too high? Is it because I have also grown stronger?’ Aiden asked.

’I need to focus. If I can, I want to complete the two magic synchronizations today, tonight,’ Aiden said.

From Rachel’s perspective, there was no resistance at all to the process. The flow of fire magic energy from Aiden’s hand entered Rachel’s body seamlessly, trying to unite the two energies into a single one.

Aurora was silent, sitting with her legs crossed waiting for the process of the two magics synchronizing to finish. Occasionally, she asked Aiden about the progress, to which Aiden replied shortly.

"Hurry up and complete it, I’m hungry," Aurora expressed.

Aiden opened his eyes and saw that his progress had increased significantly, reaching a quarter of 100%, a sign that tonight, he would definitely be able to synchronize the two magics with Rachel.

Banging noises could be heard from behind the ice wall. Aurora turned around, seeing that the villagers were becoming suspicious of the ice wall’s appearance.

Aurora sighed. She got up while stretching her body, then told Aiden that she would stand guard at the cave entrance, driving the people away without harming them.

"Very well, Aurora," Aiden said briefly as he refocused his gaze on Rachel.

[Two-Magic Synchronization Progress:]

[58%]

The progress showed 58% of the two hours he had been synchronizing with Rachel. Now, there was an intense magical boom spreading throughout the cave, capable of shaking the cave walls.

Aurora looked back, sensing that a black-red magic boom was appearing and spreading outside the cave.

The villagers behind the ice wall felt it, though they didn’t know where the boom of magic energy came from. Their suspicions grew.

"There must be monsters inside. Quickly call the mages in the neighboring village!" said a man, a resident of Anveil Village.

Aurora overheard their talk. She turned around and told Aiden about it. Aiden understood, he would do his best to finish the two magic synchronizations before the mage arrived.

Aiden focused his magic forward, strengthening it with all his might to achieve the progress he wanted. If possible, he should complete this synchronization within an hour.

[Two-Magic Synchronization Progress:]

[75%]

Aiden’s efforts were successful! Focusing on improving his abilities made the magic synchronization progress even more effective, leaving another 25% to complete.

Not long after, the mage arrived and attempted to destroy the ice wall. Aurora stretched out her hand, flowing magic energy to maintain the form of the ice wall so that it wouldn’t shatter.

"Hurry up, Aiden!" said Aurora.

[Two-Magic Synchronization Progress:]

[98%]

Half an hour passed, leaving only a few percent left to complete. Aiden raised both hands to continue to distribute his magic energy.

The surge of magic energy was getting stronger, spreading beyond the cave. Aiden looked ahead, a notification panel appeared which was a relief to Aiden.

[Two-Magic Synchronization Progress:]

[100%]

[Two-Magic Synchronization Process Completed]

Aiden smiled, the black dragon’s body beginning to be wrapped by the red-black energy surrounding it. Aiden stopped the flow of his fire magic energy, continuing to stare at Rachel.

"She’s forming her human form," Aiden explained.

"That’s good," Aurora said.

The burst of magic ended and there was silence. Aiden looked back, watching Aurora still focused on defending the ice wall.

Not long after, the egg of magic energy cracked and revealed a woman with long black hair, fair skin, and an elegant black floor-length dress.

It was Rachel! She had refined her human form. She had recovered her abilities.

"Rachel?" asked Aiden.

The girl opened her eyes, then looked down at the human speaking to her. Rachel remembered who he was, he was the one entrusted by her father to look after her.

"Master Aiden," Rachel greeted.

His black eyes were elegant, with a softer, more reserved demeanor. Rachel’s two hands spread out to the right and left, crushing the magic energy eggs that instantly turned into magic particles.

"It’s you," Aiden explained.

Rachel nodded, she looked behind Aiden, seeing a white-haired girl guarding this place. It was her sister, Aurora.

"Hello, Sister." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Sister?!" startled Aurora, shocked.

"Sister Aurora and Master Aiden. Thank you for taking care of me," Rachel explained.

Rachel stamped her foot on the ground, sending black magic fluctuations that spread to the outside. The mage who tried to break through the ice wall felt that thump, a magic aura that was much stronger than him.

Aiden walked forward, holding Rachel’s head. In Aiden’s eyes, Rachel’s posture and face were those of an eight-year-old girl, still innocent and calm.

"I promised to that man that I would take care of you. You don’t have to worry," Aiden said.

Rachel smiled slightly, her eyes sparkling at Aiden, "Of course. I believe you can take care of me, because you’re a strong person."

"Stop what you’re saying. Come here and take care of your problem," Aurora explained.

Aiden smiled and chuckled. Aurora was right, Aiden should go to them to explain the situation.

"Alright. Let’s go talk to Jacob."
