Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 72: Night At the City
The food and drinks they ordered came. Feeling unbearably hungry, Fiona took her food and devoured it like a wild animal taking prey.
Aiden smiled, his focus shifted to his food. The man had guessed right before he tasted it, his tongue would not be able to taste any flavor.
Even so, it would be uncomfortable for Fiona if only she ate. As a result, Aiden joined in on the dinner until there was nothing left.
"Fuuuh, that was delicious," Fiona remarked, leaning back in her chair as she rubbed her stuffed stomach.
"Thank you for the food, Aiden," Fiona explained, Aiden cleared his throat.
According to him, he had gotten important information that was precious to him as a beast tamer.
Without Fiona’s information, there might be bad persons targeting him.
Aiden and Fiona walked out of the restaurant. They separated there, but Fiona asked to see Aiden again.
She wants to take Aiden on a quest together, but Aiden will certainly consider it with Aurora and Rachel first.
Fiona walked out of the restaurant toward the north, where she was staying. Aiden, on the other hand, walked closer to his inn.
From the time Aiden had gone to the adventurer’s guild office to his current return, he had left the two dragon girls for about an hour. Surely, one of them would be upset.
Just before entering the inn, he remembered Fiona’s words about gloves to hide his beast tamer pattern.
Aiden briefly stopped by a boutique to get a suit of gloves, no need for fancy ones, just common ones as long as they made him comfortable and safe.
"Welcome. Do you need anything?" asked the boutique staff.
"Yes, I want to buy some gloves," Aiden replied.
"Well, come with me, sir," the woman said.
The man was silent, then walked after her until he reached a display rack of gloves with various patterns and colors. Still, Aiden had no idea which glove would suit him.
"Do you want to buy regular or magic gloves?" the woman asked, startling Aiden.
"Wait! There are magic gloves?" asked Aiden, and the staff nodded.
She explained that magic gloves were widely used by mages to increase their strength, as well as reduce MP usage.
Aiden understood that, but he was confused about how the gloves worked.
"Any mage who wants magic gloves, they must provide a gem that suits their dominant element," the staffer replied.
"The higher the quality of that element’s gem, the increase in power and MP efficiency can reach 50%."
’50%? That’s a significant increase, especially if you combine it with Aurora and Rachel’s power. That would make me invincible,’ Aiden said.
As for high-quality elemental gems, Aiden was lucky that he still had one for his fire element. It was the Infernum Heart Gem, a gem he had gotten while in the Dragon Undead pyramid.
Aiden patted his magic pouch and brought up the gem right before the female staff, "Then can I make those magic gloves?"
The female staffer was shocked, the gem Aiden had was not just any gem, it was a high-level gem of the fire element, a rare item that even gold-ranked adventurers had difficulty obtaining.
"F-Fire element high-level gem?" asked the female staff, still in shock.
Hearing that, some of the other staff who were serving other customers began to get distracted. It made the other customers annoyed, as well as curious.
"If we manage to make magic gloves with this kind of material, our boutique will be the best boutique in the city or southwest region," the female staff member explained.
Seeing the crowd around Aiden drew the boutique owner down from the second floor.
The door opened, an adult woman with long hair braided sideways and a long maroon off-shoulder dress came through.
"Stop staring at him and take care of the other customers. Let me speak to this gentleman," the woman said, her face beautiful and elegant, leaving Aiden momentarily stunned.
"We are deeply honored to receive your request for magic gloves. What kind of model would you like?" she asked, softly with a melodious, soothing voice.
"No need to be complicated, just make it like those over there," Aiden explained, pointing to the display of magic gloves on the wall.
The boutique owner turned her head, looking at the many gloves she had made.
With the characteristics of the fire element and Aiden’s simple attitude, the woman knew what kind of model Aiden wanted.
"Of course. We’ll make them in earnest," the woman said.
Aiden handed her the gem, she accepted it and still held it in her hand.
"The work will take one day in total. How about it?" he asked.
"Sure, I don’t mind," Aiden replied.
"Alright. You can come back here tomorrow night, Sir...."
"Aiden."
"Sir Aiden. You can come tomorrow and settle the payment right after your magic gloves are completed," he explained.
After getting her assurance, Aiden excused himself. The boutique lady nodded, returning to the second floor to start working on Aiden’s request.
The man stayed outside the boutique, then continued his steps back to the inn. Arriving at the front of his room, he heard strange noises from inside it.
’What are those sounds?" Aiden asked.
He opened the door and saw Aurora and Rachel sitting on the bed, talking and laughing with each other.
When the door to the room opened, they immediately turned around and looked at Aiden attentively.
Aiden smiled, the closeness between them was a good sign that they were starting to accept each other.
’Good, they’re getting along.’
"Master Aiden," Rachel greeted.
"Aiden," greeted Aurora, the two of them stepping together towards Aiden.
"How was it? Are you both hungry?" asked Aiden, asking the most basic question they could think of.
Rachel and Aurora looked at each other, then refocused their eyes on their master.
"Yes, we’re hungry," they said in unison.
"Alright. I’ll cook something for Aurora, then prepare the beast essence for Rachel."
Rachel and Aurora nodded, they would wait for their food to be ready.
"Alright, we’ll wait."
