The fire dragon saw Aiden and the others. The beast immediately roared loudly accompanied by an ear-splitting roar. Aiden pointed his hand forward, blocking the roar with his fire magic.

"Fire elemental mage!" the fire dragon in front of him said, startling Aiden.

’She can talk?" asked Aiden.

"You can talk?" Aiden asked.

"There’s no point in talking to you. You’re going to die anyway!" said the fire dragon.

The dragon’s mouth opened, it began to spit hot fire forward. Aiden saw that, and he and the others immediately jumped back to avoid the blast of fire. They managed to save themselves.

"I just want to take those five Black Roots over there. I don’t want to fight with you!" said Aiden.

"That herb is mine. I won’t give them up to anyone!" the fire dragon said, spitting fire forward again, causing Aiden and the others to spread apart.

"You said you were going to control the fire dragon, Aiden?!" shouted Fiona, still flying on Rio’s back.

"Distract her. I need to focus!" said Aiden.

"About that, I’ll do it!" explained Aurora.

Rachel was still beside Aiden, assigned by Aurora to guard Aiden. Among all of them, Aurora was the only one with the ability to match the fire dragon’s abilities.

In a blinding glow of ice-blue light, Aurora began to transform into an ice dragon, though her body size was not as large as the fire dragon before her.

The fire dragon began to focus its eyes on Aurora, then roared loudly again to emphasize its power and strength. Aurora was a little scared when she fought it, but she was sure her help this time would definitely help Aiden a lot.

Fiona gasped, her eyes widening as she witnessed two battles between two different dragon clans. If the people in Alron saw it, they would be mesmerized and speechless.

The two dragons flew while shooting their magic power forward. The fire dragon was only able to attack with bursts of hot flames, but it was different with Aurora.

Her proficiency in the manipulation of ice elemental magic meant that she could even manipulate magic in the form of an ice dragon.

Spines of ice appeared right before Aurora, then let the attack rush forward until it hit the fire dragon.

Although Aurora’s body size wasn’t as big as the fire dragon’s, in terms of strength and dragon rank, Aurora was higher than it.

"I’m trying to control it. But I might not be able to keep it for long," Aiden said.

"You two! Go to the ruins and get that herb," Aiden ordered.

Rachel looked at Fiona, then nodded solemnly. Rachel climbed on Rio’s back, where Rio immediately flew quickly to the center of the ruins.

Although Aiden was right to fully control the fire dragon, basically the fire dragon’s heart’s desire and determination were so great.

Just as the ruins of the palace tower wall were about to hit them, a black pillar of light mysteriously appeared from that spot. Aiden was stunned, trying to get up while letting his body start regenerating.

The fire dragon was also looking in the same direction, as was the ice dragon Aurora. The Fire Dragon tried to fly close to the black pillar to see what was happening in its herb garden. However, something surprising happened.

The black ball shot forward and hit the fire dragon, the fire dragon had difficulty dodging and couldn’t defend. As a result, the beast was immediately bounced far back.

"What happened?" asked Aiden.

Aiden opened his eyes wide, his mouth unable to close when he saw the black pillar of light coming from Rachel’s transformation.

That’s right! Rachel had successfully returned to her shadow dragon form, almost as large as Aurora. Aurora looked happy.

She flew up and down and kept circling around Rachel who had succeeded with her dragon transformation.

"Aiden! I’ve got him," Fiona declared, raising a hand holding a black flower plant.

It was a Black Root, evident from its medium-sized, black, yam-like roots. Aiden smiled, the regeneration in his body stopped.

The fire dragon continued to try to fight back in order to defend its territory. However, Aurora and Rachel united.

They united their powers and began to shoot ice blue and black magic forward, right at the fire dragon.

An explosion of magic occurred, creating a powerful wave of magic that spread all over the place. Visibly, the Fire Dragon lost badly in the dragon fight.

Most shockingly, the defeated fire dragon began to emit a bright and dazzling red light, forcing Aiden and the others to close their eyes.

Slowly, the red light faded away on its own. The once mighty figure of the fire dragon was now lying helplessly on the ground in human form, complete with a long, beautiful red dress and a golden crown on its head.

The Ice Dragon emitted a dazzling ice-blue light, and the Shadow Dragon did the same. The two huge dragons transformed back into humans, but Rachel immediately fell limp when she finished transforming again.

"Rachel," Aurora said, concerned.

Elsewhere, Aiden stepped closer to the fire dragon. More adult than Aurora and Rachel, Aiden still didn’t know the exact reason why fire dragons guarded medicinal herbs like Black Roots.

"Why are you guarding it?" Aiden asked.

"You humans don’t need to know about our problems!" the woman snapped, struggling to stand and only able to lie down.

Aurora and Fiona walked over to Aiden while carrying Rachel. Aiden turned around, immediately shocked at Rachel’s condition.

"She’s in the same condition as I was. She’ll recover after some rest," Aurora explained.

Aiden nodded. He didn’t forget to thank them, because without them, this mission wouldn’t have succeeded.

Aurora and Rachel were happy to be praised by Aiden, Fiona didn’t mind not getting any credit because she realized she hadn’t helped much.

Just as they were talking, Aiden suddenly felt a pain in his chest. His chest was glowing red with both eyes glowing the same color. It hurt so much that Aiden fell to his knees with a gasp.

"What... happened?" asked Aiden.

His vision turned into a magical vision. There was a thread of fire leading to the ruins, but Aiden had never felt anything like this before.

"Could this be a fragment of the Chronos Fire Dragon beast essence?"
