Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 84: The Goddess Coming
Aiden paused, then refocused his eyes forward on the red glass that held the fragment. Slowly, the red glass cracked until it was able to shock the fire dragon girl.
She had never seen the fragment move on its own, Aiden’s arrival must be a sign of something for the fragment.
Aiden pointed his hand upwards, the crack grew wider in the glass until it was completely shattered.
The fragment of the Chronos Fire Dragon’s beast essence floated freely in no particular direction, Aiden and the others continued to watch closely.
Some of them even tried to help by catching it. However, the fragment’s quick movements while dodging were enough to make it difficult for them.
Aiden stretched both of his hands forward, summoning fire magic energy in the form of a square frame, solely to catch the fragment.
Slowly, the fragment was caught by Aiden’s fire magic energy. Aiden caged it and shrunk the size of the square cage until it was exactly the size of the fragment.
The man managed to catch it, then brought it closer. He saw clearly that the fragment was different from the usual beast fragments, as it continued to emit strong red energy around itself.
"You got it, Aiden!" Aurora explained.
Aiden nodded, raising his hand as he showed them the fragment, "Right. This is the thing that—"
DING!
A loud buzzing sound rang through the place, enough to make Aiden feel the noise. Aiden reflexively covered both ears due to the deafening sense of the buzzing, coming from above.
"Hey, are you alright?"
Aiden was shocked with widened eyes. He saw clearly that Aurora and the others had stopped talking and stopped moving, even the dust had stopped in place as if someone had stopped time.
"What the hell is going on?" asked Aiden, shocked.
From the side, Aiden was shocked to see a magic portal appear from the dimensional crack. As the man turned his head slowly, a woman in a beautiful dress flew over to him.
"Finally, you managed to find a small part of my beast essence fragment," explained Aetherna, the Astralis Magical Goddess.
Little did Aiden know that he would meet the beautiful and charming woman again. Aiden raised his hand, showing Aertherna the fragment of beast essence from the Fire Dragon Chronos.
"I don’t know where the rest of the fragments are. However, I will look for it again while exploring this place," Aiden explained.
Aetherna nodded. She retrieved the fragment after destroying Aiden’s fire cage. In Aetherna’s hands, the fragment didn’t show any signs of revolt and so on, as if it had a consciousness of its own and knew who the woman holding it was.
"About what the fire dragon girl asked, you must not tell anyone that you are my envoy," Aetherna explained, Aiden nodding in understanding.
Aetherna was impressed with Aiden’s persistence, especially since he had managed to obtain a small part of the Chronos Fire Dragon’s beast essence.
Aetherna brought up a golden ball of energy in her hand, then sent it forward until it entered Aiden’s forehead.
Aiden didn’t feel anything, but suddenly his body became lighter and he was able to use the light element. Aetherna had just given Aiden the source of the light element.
"Light element?" asked Aiden, and Aetherna nodded.
"Now, you have two dominant elements, fire and light. That way, your power will increase," Aertherna replied, Aiden smiled and nodded, thankful for the power she gave him.
Aetherna said goodbye. She swung her hand to reopen the dimensional crack, then went inside, waving goodbye to Aiden. Aiden smiled and nodded, time returning to its normal course.
"Aiden? Where’s the fragment?" asked Aurora, shocked.
Aiden smiled and giggled while scratching his head, "I-I lost it!"
"HUH?! YOU LOST IT, DAMN IT?!"
"Calm down. I can explain it to you," Aiden said, watching the fire dragon girl rage endlessly.
"If I had become a fire dragon again. I’ll burn you to death, damn human!" the fire dragon snapped.
Aurora heard the threat. She knocked the fire dragon girl back down while pointing her magic spear again, threatening her that Aurora would actually kill her without asking for Aiden’s consent.
The fire dragon girl gasped, then looked at Aiden with a flushed face and teary eyes. The fire dragon girl was truly disappointed that Aiden had lost the most important thing to her, especially to the fire dragon clan.
"You’ve lost it, the most precious thing our fire dragon clan has," the fire dragon girl explained.
"We’ve been guarding that fragment for generations, hoping it would be delivered directly to the envoy master. Yet, what happened, you lost it!" the girl snapped.
"If my father finds out, if the Fire Dragon Clan King finds out, he’ll definitely start a war against humans!" she threatened.
Aiden fell silent, unable to defend himself or evade. Aetherna had told Aiden that she forbade him to tell his identity to anyone, including the fire dragon itself.
The man understood the Envoy Master they were referring to was him, but he couldn’t say so. It was for the good of Aiden and everyone else.
"As for the fragment’s disappearance, you needn’t worry, it’s in good hands," Aiden explained.
"You’ve taken good care of this fragment. That’s more than enough. There will be someone who goes looking for the fragment in an eternity of suffering," Aiden said.
"I hope you know that and understand. I can’t possibly lie to you, if it’s really gone, you’ll definitely notice," Aiden explained.
Fiona nodded, responding to what Aiden had said. It was impossible for the fragment to disappear on its own, it must have been taken by an entity with higher abilities than them.
Most importantly, Aiden had explained it to them, and the fire dragon girl had done her job well.
Slowly, the tension between them eased. The fire dragon girl still didn’t accept Aiden’s explanation, but when she recovered, she would use her abilities to find the whereabouts of the fragment.
Fiona stepped up to lead the fire dragon girl into her room, which was quite far away from where Aiden was standing. Aurora was still standing in front of Aiden, curious about Aiden’s explanation.
"Forget about it, Aurora. I’ll explain later after you’ve recovered," Aiden explained, Aurora sighed and nodded in understanding.
Just as they walked into the fire dragon girl’s room, Rachel opened her eyes and said something that surprised Aiden.
"Goddess Aetherna, she’s as beautiful as they say," Rachel said.
"EH?!"
