Chapter 95: Aiden Crazy Plan

They were hiding in an inn room, it was pretty good and a bit far from the Shadow Dragon Clan’s palace. If they left, the soldiers wouldn’t have time to chase after them. That was Aiden’s original plan.

Unfortunately, he was stuck with the two detection bracelets attached to his wrists. Forcibly removing them like breaking them would send an emergency signal to the palace.

Aiden needed to do something to get the bracelets off his hands without damaging them. That was why he needed a volunteer.

Aiden stood behind his bedroom window, looking outside where crowds filled the city’s main street. There were very few guards on patrol, which was quite a relief for Aiden.

KNOCK!

The door opened and Aurora came in with two volunteers. She found them in a small alley, both homeless. Aiden looked behind him.

"You brought two?" Aiden asked.

"Yeah, is that too many?" asked Aurora, Aiden nodded slowly.

He stepped towards the two homeless people, a middle-aged man and an old woman. He didn’t need the old woman, the volunteer he’d chosen had to bear the heavy burden of his trust.

"Put her back where she belongs," Aiden ordered, Aurora cleared her throat.

"What do you want? Stealing? I can do that. Rape? I’m an expert. Kidnap a slave? I know the place," explained the middle-aged man, sharing his skills.

’Just a disgusting criminal. That’s fine, it’s a simple task anyway,’ Aiden explained.

"You just need to carry one item, then walk around the city until night," Aiden said.

The middle-aged man paused, then nodded even though he had no idea which item Aiden had ordered him to bring. The two waited until Aurora arrived as only she would do it for Aiden.

The white-haired girl came back after throwing out the old woman. Aiden nodded, snapped his fingers to bring out a speck of flame, then directed it towards the candles in the room.

Three candles burned brightly. Aiden closed the windows and pulled the curtains, he also had Aurora lock the door. Now, things were tense and scary for the homeless man. He was afraid that they would try to kill him.

"W-What are—"

"I want you to wear this bracelet and carry it around the city tonight. Do you understand?" Aiden asked.

The middle-aged man stared ahead, looking at the two tracking bracelets firmly attached to Aiden’s wrists. Luckily for Aiden, the homeless man didn’t know what the bracelets were and thought of them as magical accessories. That made the man not object at all.

Aiden nodded firmly. He patted his magic pouch and took out the five sparkling gold pieces clutched in his hand. Seeing the sparkling gold that he rarely owned made the homeless man even more enthusiastic.

"Five gold coins?" the man asked, his eyes rounded with mouth agape.

"After you wear the bracelet, go and enjoy the night with this money," Aiden explained.

"I understand. Hurry up and give me the bracelet!" commanded the homeless man, insistent and eager to enjoy this night in luxury.

Aiden smiled, how innocently the man could be persuaded by just money, when he had no idea what threats might be lurking in the future. However, Aiden didn’t care. That would be his business, Aiden had plenty of things to do.

The man rose from his crouch, turning his head towards Aurora. After Aurora learned of his plan, she refused at first because she was reluctant to hurt Aiden. However, Aiden insisted for their safety.

"You should know that I hate this plan!" Aurora insisted.

"We have no choice. If we break it, they’ll know."

Aurora swallowed her saliva deeply. The homeless man was still watching them. From his eyes, he saw Aurora bring out an ice sword from her hand. In the other direction, Aiden was sitting on a wooden chair while stretching both hands forward. Their behavior further confused the homeless man.

SLICE!

Aurora swung her ice sword at both of Aiden’s hands. The white-haired girl closed her eyes and turned her face away as she cut off Aiden’s hands.

Both of Aiden’s hands were cut off! Blood poured out onto the floor as Aiden winced in extreme pain. He fell off his wooden chair.

"WOAAH!" shouted the homeless man, watching closely as Aiden’s hands were chopped off.

Aurora saw Aiden fall with a pale white face, like someone who was sick and losing blood. Quickly, she removed the ice sword and healed Aiden’s severed hand.

The girl also threw Aiden’s severed hand at the homeless man. He was frightened at first, but Aurora gave him an intimidating look as she told him to wear the bracelet.

As promised, the homeless man wore the bracelets on both hands. There was no warning, indicating that the detection bracelets were still actively detecting them. However, they would only detect the homeless man, not Aiden.

"You guys are crazy!" the man complained.

[Passive Skill Active]

[100% Regeneration on]

Slowly, Aiden’s two hands began to regenerate to form new hands. The beast taming pattern on his right hand also returned to normal. Even so, Aiden seemed exhausted by this.

The homeless man was even more shocked to see Aiden’s hands growing again, he really looked like a race of lizards that could regenerate their severed bodies. That gave the homeless man even more shivers.

"Go and don’t see me again," Aiden ordered, voice soft.

The man nodded. He opened the door and walked out of the inn. Aurora cried, unable to hold back her tears because it was her first time to hurt Aiden.

Aiden smiled, wiping Aurora’s tears away with his hand. Now, the detection bracelet was gone, they could escape easily without being detected.

"I ... don’t want to see you get hurt again," Aurora replied, bursting into tears.

"Thank you for helping me," Aiden explained, softly.

Aiden’s hand brushed Aurora’s face, as Aurora’s lithe hand grasped Aiden’s tightly. The woman didn’t want to hurt Aiden again, even if Aiden ordered her to.

With Aurora’s help, Aiden stood up with a limp body. He walked carried by Aurora to the bedroom window, looking at the homeless man spoiling himself with the money Aiden had given him.

"With him walking around the city until night, the guards will only focus on him," Aiden replied.

"Are we going to escape with me transformed into a dragon?" asked Aurora beside Aiden.

"It’s too risky, there’s not a single transformed dragon in the city."

"We’ll go on foot."
