Chapter 380: Golden Rain

[Supreme World]

[First Domain]

Within the ethereal architecture of the First Domain, the atmosphere was suffocating. Aurelia, Lilith, and Victoria—the Mother of all Gods—sat facing one another around a massive round table. Despite their status as the peak powerhouses of the Supreme World, their faces were etched with deep-seated worry and concern.

"I summoned you two to my domain not because of what is happening in the lower world, but also about the rain," Victoria stated. She exhaled a breath she seemed to have been holding for centuries.

Lilith leaned forward, her eyes narrowing. "Queen Victoria... Don’t you know anything about the gods?" She asked with a slight frown. Lilith was pragmatism personified; she didn’t give a fuck about the suffering in the lower world, but if this celestial blood rain signaled a threat to her own sovereignty, she would look for any way to escape the fallout.

Victoria turned to her, her expression darkening. "My title doesn’t mean I am truly the mother of gods... I can’t even hold a candle before the true gods. For your question, I don’t have a clue about them." She sighed, the weight of her crown visible.

"This blood rain is a very ominous phenomenon... It means a lot of things." She relaxed back into her throne-like chair. "For now, you all must stay on guard... This phenomenon doesn’t occur when an ordinary god dies. It only happens when a god ruling over a realm dies... These gods are known as one of the strongest. They don’t die easily," she said in a heavy, serious tone.

The silence that followed was thick. The concept of a Realm Ruler falling was like hearing the sun had been extinguished.

"We understand," Aurelia and Lilith nodded in unison.

Victoria shifted her gaze specifically to Lilith. "Lilith... I won’t stop your war with Sunny. No matter what I say, you won’t listen, so do as you wish, but make sure you don’t destroy any worlds... The main reason I will protect this world to the very end is because it was handed to me. And I don’t want to fail the one who gave it to me."

Lilith’s eyes flickered with a cold triumph. ’So you aren’t stopping me because Sunny wiped out my children. Sunny, now that you don’t have Victoria’s protection, I will see how you survive.’

"Ok. But what about the lower world situation? Two races are already wiped out," Lilith said, steering the conversation back to the crisis.

"That creature causing the destruction is one of Harrison’s personal guards... Have any of you made contact with him?" Victoria asked, her sharp gaze scanning the two women.

"No... I will rather kill him than ask for his help with anything!" Aurelia snapped. "Besides, I don’t have enmity with the lower world."

Her words were a pointed jab, causing Victoria to turn her eyes toward Lilith.

"Hey! What are you implying?!!" Lilith snapped, her finger jabbing the air toward Aurelia. She caught herself, seeing the deepening frown on Victoria’s beautiful face, and slowly lowered her hand.

"Hmph!" She crossed her arms tightly under her chest.

"Yes, I have some bad blood with the lower world, but I am not after the world—just Sunny and all my enemies," she clarified. She tapped her chin, changing the topic.

"We should be looking for Harrison, or maybe sending aid to the lower world to help. With the restrictions gone, we can send anyone."

Victoria shook her head firmly. "No... Don’t forget we’re talking about the lower world... That creature is a ninth order. If we send another ninth order, their battle will destroy the lower world itself. And if we send anyone lower, they will simply get killed."

"There must be something we can do!" Aurelia muttered. Her mind was racing; if the lower world was reduced to ash with Josephine still in it, all her long-term plans would be ruined.

"I understand your concern... I also want to help the lower world, but I can’t." Victoria sighed sadly, closing her eyes as if to block out the mental image of the carnage. "Only if someone far stronger than a ninth order arrived there and killed that creature with one strike..."

"A single attack that can kill a ninth order will be too powerful for the lower world," Lilith countered. "I say we find Harrison and make some deal with him."

"What?! Harrison is an evil bastard!! Compared to him, you’re still a kid!" Aurelia snapped at Lilith.

"Yes, Lilith... Harrison is beyond evil," Victoria pointed out. "That’s why we kicked him out of this table. That battle led to the destruction of the entire fourth domain; he won’t let that slide."

A heavy silence descended upon the hall. For one whole minute, the only sound was the faint pitter-patter of the blood rain against the magical barriers of the castle. Finally, Victoria looked up.

"We don’t have a choice," she said. "We will send three tenth order powerhouses. One will help with evacuation, and the other two will try their best to take that creature off that world. Do you understand?"

The two women looked at one another and nodded.

"Ok then. If it is—"

BAM!

The heavy crystal doors of the hall burst open.

"My Queen!!"

A guard clad in ornate white armor rushed inside, sliding on his knees before the table, his face drenched in sweat.

"What happened?" Victoria asked, standing up.

"The blood rain... Umm... You have to see this," he stammered, pointing frantically toward the door.

The three rulers exchanged looks of confusion and stood up, walking out of the hall in a hurry, Aurelia and Lilith following close behind Victoria.

[Outside]

The three domain rulers stood on the precipice of the huge white castle, overlooking the Supreme World. They looked up, and their hearts skipped a beat.

The sky had changed. The dark, metallic blood rain had ceased. In its place, the heavens were weeping a brilliant, shimmering liquid that glowed with an ethereal light.

They stood frozen, staring at the golden rain, their faces filled with a mixture of shock, surprise, and sheer disbelief.

"A New God is born," Victoria whispered, the golden light reflecting in her wide eyes.
