This time, the giggles that I have been trying to suppress has then continue sputtered out of my mouth. Of course, then his originally grumpy persona came out of the guy in front of me as he glared daggers at me. I couldn’t help it since I have always seen him with a cold demeanor and he was always decisive in everything. You would never see him stunned or staring dumbly like this.

He then muttered, obviously annoyed, "What’ so funny?" He did not sound angry but he was using more of a defeated tone.

My giggles gradually stopped and then I tried to explain to grumpy Caius, what I found funny. He looked at me blankly then his eyes turned into slits as if he is planning how he would chop me up and hide the evidence.

I looked away and asked, "So, what are your plans now that I have accepted you?" He nonchalantly said, "To pursue you everyday."

Huh? Didn’t I just accept him? Has he really turned dumb?

Realizing that I was confused about his answer, he smiled at me sincerely and replied, "I might not be able to do it as relentlessly as my father did it to my mother but it doesn’t hurt to try. I guess he was somewhat successful since my mother did not take in other husbands. It might not apply to me but I can at least fight for favor this way, can’t I?"

I wasn’t able to answer his question quickly as I was blinded by that handsome face and that smile I saw for the first time. Eventually, I realized what he was trying to say. Was he declaring that he will be a doting husband or even become a simp-level husband?

As I was imagining what Caius would look like if he became excessively doting, attentive and sweet to me, I ended up laughing again. Damn! The image that popped in my head is nuts!

I tried to keep my face from showing any hint of how my mind was spinning about things that I am imagining of the future. I simply gave him a nonchalant answer of "Do whatever you want".

Though my answer was cold and nonchalant, it still made the simp happy as he took it as permission from me. He hurriedly stood up, leaned towards me and gave me a quick kiss on the lips then hurriedly left my villa.

While he is walking away, he was murmuring about how he has to contact his parents to prepare gifts, a ring, a nice wedding and to redecorate his boring bachelor room since it is not fit for couples. He had that silly and daydreamy smile on his face. Where did my cool and grumpy general have gone?

Back in the magic tower, Keeran teleported straight in front of the door of his grandfather. Once he appeared, he started banging the door as if he was in a panic.

The door opened wide and what he saw was his grandfather sitting on his office chair, staring at his direction in confusion. Keeran ran inside the office excitedly, telling his grandfather the good news from the meeting earlier.

Eventually, he still complained that he was not the only one in the meeting as there are two other men in their that showed interest in his wife. Grandpa Mage asked who they were and he nonchalantly said that he doesn’t remember the names but one seems to be a high priest from a church and the other one a general under a dukedom.

Back in the dormitory assigned to the priests of the church of Lumienere, Clarence arrived with an emotionless face as if nothing important just happened earlier. He decided to keep quiet about the good news since he does not want to earn envy from the other priests that are currently enrolled this semester.

Once he is back inside his own room, he hurriedly wrote a letter address to his grandfather about what transpired during the earlier meeting. He also confirmed that the saintess will officially accept him into her family soon. He also asked guidance on how to move forward with it this new affiliation.

Caius was sprinting towards his personal residence inside the academe. Once he is inside his room, he took out the stationary and pen to start writing an urgent letter to his parents. He wants to let them know about the good news as soon as possible. This is also so that their household can make preparations as soon as possible.

He always knew the weddings of nobility are very tedious and time consuming so he wants them to help him out in completing the other steps except the wedding itself and evening after that which he feels is his only responsibility. Once done with the letter, he called for his trusted carrier pigeon to send the message to the dukedom the fastest.

After sending off the letter, he resumed his planning with that silly smile in his place. Out of the blue, his face turned red as his mind wandered about what happens on the wedding night.

Although he is curious about what topics will be discussed during the meeting and honestly wanted to listen in, when Luna told him that he is already exempted from the meeting because he was already accepted as a fiancé, all unwillingness to leave left Arthur’s body. He found himself obediently standing up and walking away from the living room to return to his room.

Once inside his room, Arthur dropped face first on the bed, hugging a pillow tightly. Nothing can be heard inside the room but Arthur’s breathing for a while then all of a sudden a muffled squeal of happiness can be heard from the man whose face is buried on the bed.

Arthur even started kicking his legs, his body shivering with happiness and triumph. It was not only because he earned enough to gain his own freedom but because he successfully captured his wife’s heart because he was hardworking and honest. He can’t wait for what the future holds for him in her household.
