Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 407: Mo Liang had another secret.
He liked the look of desperation on Mo Liang’s face. It was the same one that the bastard had brought out in Mei Mei many times as he tortured her mentally and verbally.
"Assistant Xu, find out what projects we can put on that land. It is big enough for small condos, a small hospital, or a B and B...."
The chains rattled scraping against marble, groaning was heard and Mo Liang tried to leap at Jingzhe. The prison guards held him back forcefully and the warden slapped him again.
Assistant Xu came to believe that maybe the man just enjoyed slapping Mo Liang.
Jingzhe exhaled, the air felt somewhat sweeter and he was willing to accept the old man’s will now. As the patriarch, he could do whatever he wanted with the rest of the property the Mo’s owned.
The will did not stipulate that he change his name, just that he protected the family home. How he did that was up to his choosing.
"So, how is prison life?" He asked Mo Liang.
Silence.
Mo Liang glared at him.
"It is wonderful." The warden answered, desperate to fill the air with something. "I run a tight ship here. The prisoners are well behaved, the food is up to standard, the hospital is well staffed."
Assistant Xu cleared his throat.
The warden closed his mouth.
"My wife and daughter went to Australia for a vacation." Jingzhe shared with Mo Liang. "My wife also promised to pay a bride price for me when we marry. She promised to be responsible for me forever. In return, I just have to love her so much, support her and make a lot of money for her to spend as she wishes.
My biggest problem is that she makes way too much money on her own. The two of us have money than what we know what do with and we are now spending it on our pets. Even the leech which was named after you is living in diamond encased house with trees sculpted from real Imperial jade."
The warden’s jaw dropped.
The prison guards looked constipated or pained.
Mo Liang looked ready to murder Jingzhe just to make him shut up.
"My mother-in-law buys the leech imported snails and earthworms." Jingzhe bellowed, bouncing a little in the chair. "Do you know how expensive luxury pet food is? I had no idea it was more costly than what we humans eat.
She brought a French chef to our house to cook some fancy snail meal for the leech. Apparently all the money she would not spend on you, she is very willing to spend on leech Mo."
He got a thrill out of seeing his brother’s jaw ticking. That look of defiance in his eyes was thrilling. Jingzhe was looking forward to the day when Mo Liang would realize that he was trash with no hope. What would the look in his eyes be at the time?
"Do you think you won?" Mo Liang screamed. "It is not over for me yet. You will all pay for humiliating me. Just you wait and see, I am not going to rot in here as you wish."
The warden slapped him again. "What are you shouting about? You are never leaving this prison unless its in a body bag."
Mo Liang lowered his head, appearing submissive and yet his upper body shook and sounds of laughter came from his mouth. It was not broken or sad laughter of a man that had surrendered. It was bitter, filled with some mockery.
The thought that Mo Liang should have been broken by now crossed Jingzhe’s mind. He wondered what it was that was still giving him hope.
Was there something hidden that they were not aware of? An ace up his sleeve that he would pull out at the very last moment and render their efforts useless!
"Take him back." He sternly commanded.
The warden was not sure what had caused the sudden change in Jingzhe’s demeanor but he rushed to shove Mo Liang out even though the prison guards were already dragging him out. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"CEO Feng, has something displeased you?" He returned after shutting the door and stood before Jingzhe with his head slightly lowered.
Jingzhe nodded. "Who has been talking to?"
His voice was not raised and his question was simple. And yet, it made the warden feel afraid. It reminded the man of every time he met Jun Muyang when he was on serious business. Cold, ruthless and deadly.
The warden blinked and looked at his assistant. "I...err...."
His assistant stepped in. "We keep logs of every call he makes, not just the number he dials but every word he says. We also track every prisoner he interacts with, verbally or physically."
"What about the prison guards and doctors or nurses in the hospital? Are you keeping an eye on them too?" Assistant Xu asked.
The warden shook his head. "They are all my people, I trust them."
Assistant Xu exploded like a curse machine for a minute. "Are you dumb? Just because you recruited them does not mean you bought their loyalty. And if you bought their loyalty with money and benefits, that means someone else can do the same thing. Warden, you have already received our money so get to work.
We want to know everything related to Mo Liang and we mean everything. We even want to know when he goes to the toilet and how long he spends in there. How many minutes does he spend in a bathroom during each shower and who is in the stalls next to his.
What doctor or nurse treats him. How do they react around him? Do they make sure shots don’t hurt him? Are they gentle towards him?
Mo Liang has a secret he is keeping which could affect the trial and we need to know about it as soon as possible. You should put him with a cell mate that has a phone and monitor them to see if he secretly calls anyone."
The warden was nodding vigorously. He had taken the money, it was time to do his job.
Assistant Xu rattled off more instructions before giving the warden another bank card and a warning. If he messed up, there would be consequences.
After Jingzhe left, the warden sunk into the sofa and exhaled pitifully. Money was good, but dangerous. Ever since Mo Liang moved to the cold prison, he was making more money but walking on a tight rope.
"Warden..." his assistant called cautiously because his boss could be temperamental sometimes. "Do you really think that Mo Liang has a secret that could get him out of the trouble he is facing?"
The warden did not truly know. But if there was such a secret, he would not be surprised. Mo Liang had set that fire and received praise a a hero for more than a decade. He kept that secret well. Maybe there was another one he was hiding.
"He made it sound like he had a hidden backer or something. " his assistant voiced softly, "If he does have one, in order to face off against the Jun’s and Lady Chi for Mo Liang, the other party needs to be equal or stronger in strength and wealth. We ants should be cautious when elephants are fighting."
