Chapter 12: Amazing Legacy

[Remember not to be a coward and tarnish this Lord’s legacy.]

After these words sounded, the colorless hall crumbled and Lukas’ mind jolted. All the information he had combed through but wasn’t able to understand started making sense.

He spent two hours reading all the information. Then, he opened his brightly shining eyes and exhaled deeply, muttering a few words:

"Arcane Lust Mage!"

This was the title of the indistinct figure whose legacy he had inherited.

If he hadn’t read all the information of the first bubble, he would have thought the Legacy was all about sexual things like any normal person, but this wasn’t really the case.

The word ’Lust’ was used to convey an intense desire for something. This desire could be sex, for power, and for wealth. It could also be for knowledge and a myriad of other things.

In the context of Legacy, it was for three things—Blood, Dominion and Sex.

The first level of Legacy allowed him to create a Magic Rune in his heart. It would have three sections, with each corresponding to the Lust for Blood, Dominion and Sex.

When he killed people, the Blood section of the Lust Magic Rune would activate and help him progress in his cultivation.

The Sex Section of Rune worked similarly. Whenever he had sex, the Rune would activate and his cultivation would progress.

The Dominion Section was also the same but was most difficult to activate because he needed to conquer people, organizations and Land and became their Lord to activate it. But while it was most difficult, it would bring most benefits too.

For example, if he killed someone, the section for Blood Lust would activate once. He would have to kill more to activate it again. Same was for Sex Section.

However, for Dominion, it was different. If he became the Lord of a city, for example.

As long as he was within the city, he could keep it activated and cultivate for an unlimited amount of time. Of course, as time passed, he would get diminishing returns and would need to conquer more places to increase the returns.

"As expected, this Legacy is... different from the norm but supremely amazing!" He muttered, clenching his fists in excitement.

Apart from the uniqueness and absurdity of the Legacy, what made him excited was the fact it had nine levels, corresponding to the nine Mage Realms.

The Lust Magic Rune created from the first level of the Legacy—First Level Lust Rune—would allow him to cultivate until the peak of One Star Mage realm.

Once he had reached the peak of One Star, he would be able to access the second Legacy Bubble and create the Second Level Lust Rune, which would allow him to break through to the Two Star Mage Realm and cultivate to the peak of it.

Then other level runes worked the same way.

Why did this excite him?

It was because from the original Lukas’ memories, he knew the strongest person in the Cloud Peak Kingdom was a just Peak Four Star Mage.

It wasn’t that he wasn’t talented enough to break through to the Five Star realm, it was that his Magic Cultivation Technique was just a Grade Four technique and only allowed him to cultivate to the peak Four Star realm—Grandmaster Mage realm.

Similarly, The Rivervale, Bloodflame and other noble families possessed a Grade Three Magic Cultivation Technique which restricted them to the peak of Three Star—Master Mage Realm.

Unlike them, however, his Legacy had nine levels, or in other words, it was a Grade Nine Legacy with the Lust Runes being the Magic Cultivation Technique. He wouldn’t be restricted and could become the strongest person in the world.

’Hm? Is a Nine Star Mage the strongest person in this world?’

Lukas thought before immediately shaking his head. This realm was too far away from him who wasn’t even an Apprentice Mage right now. So, there was no need to think too much about it.

He shifted his thoughts back to the First Level Lust Rune he would need to create in order to start cultivating.

"Angola Roots, Dark-spotted Python’s fangs, a Spirit Soothing Elixir..." He slowly muttered the names of over dozen things he needed to create the rune, his brows furrowed.

He wasn’t familiar with even one of them but this wasn’t the problem because he could find them after asking around because all of the things were Grade One, not too common in Neera City, but not too uncommon either.

The problem, however, was how would he buy them. He didn’t have enough money.

As he was trying to think of a solution to his problem, he felt his head throb and decided to sleep.

He woke up late in the morning when Oriana came over with breakfast.

"Good Morning, Young Lord. I hope you slept well." Oriana greeted him with her usual radiant smile as she put down the tray of breakfast on the table.

Lukas stretched lazily and yawned before nodding, "Good Morning and yes, I slept well."

Then he looked at her with a mischievous smile on his face and said, "However, it would have been better if you were here to give me a lap pillow."

Oriana, knowing he was just joking, smiled and said, "I’m always here to serve you, Young Lord. Tell me whenever you want one, I will come. Now, please go freshen up and have your breakfast."

"Yes, Madam." Lukas chuckled and left the bed.

...

A while later, after having breakfast, he asked, "There is a market in Amber City where I can buy some Grade One things, right?"

Oriana was surprised by his question but nodded, "Yes, Young Lord. You can go to the city square. The best shops in Neera City are there."

Saying this, she asked, "You plan to buy something, Young Lord?"

"Yes," Lukas nodded but didn’t explain. Oriana didn’t ask either, which was a relief, but after a moment, she said,

"It would be best if you can wait until Mistress returns. But if you can’t, you should go to Hayes’ family’s store. They’ll give you a discount, Young Lord."

Lukas couldn’t help but smile bitterly in his heart. He knew Rivervale Family, or rather, Viscount’s Mansion also owned a store there, but she didn’t recommend it, which revealed how much Raymond despised him.

"I understand." He nodded before asking with a thoughtful expression on his face, "Where can I find First Lady?"
