Leveling Technology To Save Humanity-Chapter 68: Stein’s Thoughts
Chapter 68: Stein’s Thoughts
Stein was really amazed.
Soon, they found themselves being used as testers, testing each level of Shields, swords and other items in the small VR game they just created.
Forget it...
Stein’s breathing was hitched and heavy, the more he toured. And by the end of the day, they had another mouthwatering meal before taking off.
(Silence)
Everyone in the vehicle remained silent, still digesting all that they saw.
Stein’s fingernails rhythmically, no one knew what he was thinking. After almost 2 hours and 21 minutes of being on the road, they boarded their private jet and took to the skies soon after.
Stein looked out the window, his lips finally parting. "I’ve decided..."
Decided? The ears of his subordinates peeked up anxiously. Decided on what?
Stein slowly turned to his secretary with a stoic expression. "Purchase 3 villas in Geldhan village."
After everything he just saw, he—Stein, can only feel in touch with the future by moving in.
...
Time flew by in the blink of an eye. Yet there were still talks about humanity’s latest innovations all over the internet. The buzz was phenomenal and the attention Geldhan village had, was now skyrocketing.
Let’s forget about VR technology. What about the food? No matter how envious, hateful, or greedy people were, they couldn’t deny the benefits these super foods brought.
Now, forget about the Superfoods. What about the fact that Geldhan village, which used to be the poorest, was now packed with millionaires in every household?
Many people bite into the hem of their clothing with jealousy the more they think about it. Why isn’t it them who has a sunny smart townsfolk or village member in their community? Why isn’t it them living in Geldhan village who received dividends of millions just like that?
Look!—These farmers were not intelligent in the least bit. So why do they deserve to get millions for just being neighbors with Gort?
No matter who thinks about it, the realization made their faces twist in the morning, especially those working in factories and other companies in major cities. Even the many construction workers were envious of Geldhan Village’s good fortune.
Yet, it was amazing that despite the money they got, at least one person in each household still went to the fields to farm.
Farming was now engraved in the hearts of these villagers. Many of them actually loved farming and gardening, seeing the crops they planted, spirit out majestically.
As the saying goes, one can never have too much food. The world was going bananas over the situation in Geldhan village.
And in a blink of an eye, many greedy people had already begun taking action—particularly, the far distant relatives of the Geldhan villagers.
Today, a storm was about to set foot in their peaceful Geldhan.
"Bastard! How dare you high me? Do you know who my cousin is?"
"That’s right, that’s right! My cousin is now a millionaire. So how dare a pauper like you, lay your filthy hands on me?"
Merta Fairbang had appeared on the scene with her oldest son, Finch Sokka.
Merta Fairbang... The name rang several bells to those in Park Fairbang’s generation. The smiles on the faces of many cracked when hearing her high pitched voice echoed out.
"Is that Merta?"
Even the villagers a distance from the village’s entrance, could heat her shenanigans. A cold shiver crawled up their spines when thinking of the rude, shrewish woman who left this village over 25 years ago.
By the gates, Merta Fairbang and her son, Sokka, attempted to push the many guards who stopped them dead in their tracks.
The duo, especially Merta Fairbang, looked quite blinding after wearing so much jewelry.
Good Buddha, it was almost as if they feared no one would take them seriously if they didn’t wear so much gold coated jewelry.
Who knows if it’s real or fake? Her fingers, necks, and wrists were dawned with a cluster of both gold and silver jewelry.
Several people sucked in their breaths, placing their hands over their eyes in annoyance. The sun was truly hot today, with its rays bouncing off the shiny metal pieces and ending them completely.
One single look, and they knew Merta hasn’t changed all these years.
"Merta! What are you doing here?"
Hunteria, who was the mother of Katrina and the wife of Frosh Shield, appeared in a golf-cart.
What the hell? Finch Sokka’s mouth dropped when seeing the wicked parking Gina had demonstrated.
What was this? Initial D? Are you sure you’re not a professional racecar driver in disguise?
Who makes driving a golf go-Kart look so cool?
A flash of envy flickered through Sokka’s eyes. ’Why should an old hag get to drive such a cool Go-Kart when I haven’t?’
What the hell does a female farmer know about driving?
’Hmph! Since my cousin is the CEO and Founder of GF WorldTech, he will definitely give me 10 of these if I ask!’
Of course if he doesn’t, heh... Sokka licked his lips wickedly.
Which rich man isn’t afraid of scandals?
Sokka, a pure city boy who had grown up scheming all his life, had a few wealthy friends of his own. So he knew a thing or two of what the rich truly feared.
Why do you think he brought the matter up to his mother and talked her into paying his dear cousin a visit? If his cousin doesn’t comply with their terms, his mother will definitely raise havoc for them all.
Hunteria was holding a flat board the size of an A4 paper. On the flat board were 4 pieces of paper claimed to the top, and a pen tied on a string attached to the board.
Hunteria knew Merta very well.
When she married into Geldhan village in her youthful prime, Merta was one of the few bullies who gave her a hard time.
The story of Merta was one that was famously known by everyone in her generation and older. So seeing the troublemaker return, Hunteria frowned.
What did this troublemaker want now?
