"What? She is… healing?"

The African prince's surprise was understandable. Guns normally were a tool used to kill. It was counterintuitive to shoot to heal. Especially when the ones who did were incredibly malicious. {Restore} might be able to bring people back from near death, but the process hurt. A lot.

And my harem intentionally shattered Amara's skull again and again. The damage Liv and Bella did was expected. But the calibers my other girls used had way too much power. I was almost certain they used Red rounds, perhaps even Sunsets ones.

Olamide and the other princes naturally had wry smiles as they saw the disgusting sight. No matter how beautiful the Silver Moth's body was, the {Restore} process wasn't for the faint of heart. Seeing tendrils of flesh, blood, and bone graft themselves together was quite graphic.

Despite the traumatic event they caused, the Sirens all walked away. They probably needed some time to cool off. Their links were tranquil but I could see the bloodlust radiating off of them.

I had to get by with a beating, and these girls adored me. It was obvious what would happen to Amara Nyasha. Frankly, I am quite shocked that she is still alive.

'I guess it was a given that they would get angry,' I thought inwardly.

[My lord, I think the ladies are more frustrated that she succeeded. Regardless of your mental strength, the Silver Moth's {fates} overpowered your defenses. If not for [Maestro] and me, you would not only have remained under her spell but perhaps cheated on the Sirens.]

Thinking that such realities certainly could have happened, the guilt I felt disappeared. My yandere harem was not acting out of nothing. They really must have gotten scared.

'Exa, I need to beef up {Mind Shield} so this doesn't happen again.'

[Agreed. The ladies are already trying to come up with ways to do so. Unfortunately, the {fates} you have at the moment cannot be used to upgrade it.]

'Makes sense. So even with {Thrall}, it is not enough? Maybe I need either {Eat} or {Perceive} to evolve once more.'

At the moment, I already had {Thrall} in my blood. But as it wasn't part of {Limitless}, I couldn't use it. The only time I would be able to do so was when I reconstructed my {Kismet}. Normally, the girls all evolved at the same time. So, each version of {Limitless} brought powerful upgrades.

'Hmm. I wonder if I should recreate and make an update with just {Thrall}, or should I wait for the others?'

Lilly and Jo were already Specters. They were 3 levels away from turning into Revenants. Each step further would no longer be as easy. But Liv, Aki, Robyn, Bella, and Jas were all also at Level 6 or high-level Phantoms. Asking the five of them to become Specters for my update was unreasonable.

I couldn't for the life of me demand them to ascend for my benefit. If they did so, it would have to be because they chose to. While I loved them very much, I could not make the decision for them.

'Sigh, I guess I will review it before we head to Antarctica.'

I pushed those thoughts away. Then, I looked around. I saw Kaziema and Amari surveying the destruction we left behind. Pierre and Zanele were with them. Figuring that they were the people I needed to speak to, I walked over.

"None of these Specters were weak. And Limitless just beat them all up? Even I would have a hard time against them," said the conservative faction's leader in shock.

Amari nodded and replied calmly, "This is why I said you should drop any plans to profit from this incident, brother Kaziema. The world is fortunate that Limitless holds no interest in anything but closing Hellsgate. If you fight him, you will die."

Kaziema then brushed his hand up his face toward his hair as he exhaled.

"And you are telling me this isn't even his real power? That Hell's Eden will have its first enlistment soon. On top of currently developing soul gears for a 100,000 strong army? If all of that is true, then this man is a fucking lunatic."

"Yes, he is daft! He is a madman who doesn't listen to reason or logic. He follows and creates his own. Did you know he plans to attack Australia and Asia before the Antarctica operation? He even intends to get more tanks and planes for it!" Mia blabbered on.

"Does he intend to make an enemy of every battlefront? Why is he doing all this?"

Feeling that now was a good time to step in, I answered Kaziema.

"So that I could live in peace."

"What? You wage war after war all so you can live in peace? Are you fucking stupid?"

Seeing the disbelief on Kaziema's face, I began to chuckle. His brother asked me something similar not long ago. The longer I lived as a Reaper, the more twisted my reasoning became. Still, I didn't mind. So long as it got me what I wanted, I couldn't care less.

Pierre and Zanele, who were by his side, answered before I could.

"Prince Kaziema, it would do you good to remember that my lord has the life of your wife in his hands. While Hellsend only bares its fangs on Onye, it can just as easily turn on you."

"Pierre is right, Kaziema. Limitless has still exercised mercy toward our Specters. You need only look to the Phantoms to see how easily they can reap our lives."

In frustration, the strongest African prince turned toward me.

"Sigh. I have a lot of complaints, but I will put those aside for now. I still find it hard to believe that Onye is evil. He has done much for the protection of Africa. The matters with Olamide aside, how are we even sure that it's all his fault?"

"Then you are fine with other princes dying so long as it isn't you?" I cut him off.

"What? How could I be fine with that?"

I walked up to Kaziema and drew Ebony. I then pointed it towards the tip of his nose. The ones who came with him all flinched. But before they could pull out their soulforms, the sounds of hundreds of guns taking aim resounded.

'I fucking love moments like this so much.'

"…So what, you will threaten and bully anyone who gets in your way?"

"Do you think any of them regretted it?" I replied.

"What?"

"The ones who sacrificed themselves. The past Immortals. The princes. Their subordinates. Do you really believe they all willingly chose to die without regret?"

"Of course! They did so because they are proud sons of Africa! You are not one of us, so of course you wouldn't understand."

"Then do you feel the same way?" I challenged as I pulled back the hammer of my gun.

"Of course! My faction and I are prepared to give our lives for this very purpose!"

At Kaziema's words, I found myself chuckling. I was reminded of the words used by dictators. It was so ironic that it got used in a movie about an ogre in a swamp. The ridiculous words, which should have been a joke, were anything but.

"Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make, right?" I recited.

At my words, the head of the Conservatives clenched his jaw.

"Olamide's mother died. While yours is alive. Even Zanele almost got used. Pierre's family got killed because of the stupidity of your brother. You claim such cost is necessary, but you aren't exactly the one paying, are you?"

"…"

Figuring I wouldn't get any more from him, I stored my gun and turned my back. My actions de-escalated the tense situation. My guys lowered their weapons but remained on guard.

I faced Tshilumba, who was approaching our group with his woman. Amara understandably hid behind her man, not even trying to make contact with me. The trauma the Exa and the Sirens gave her seems to be working rather well.

"And you? Do you also find the current setup acceptable?" I asked.

Tshilumba snorted before adding, "No. I don't. Sacrificing our blood all to maintain the status quo is wrong. Sooner or later our bloodline will die out. Onye being excluded from those who take in malice has always been a gripe for me. It is why I could never follow him."

I see. That was why he decided to create the Reformists. Tshilumba believed that if Africa had to make sacrifices, other continents should bear the cost. Meanwhile, Kaziema never cared who paid the cost so long as it wasn't him.

'No wonder he calls Kaziema a coward.'

Tshilumba looked at his brother, sadness in his eyes. He said, "It's sad that a foreigner understood my view, but you didn't, brother. You used to be the strongest man I looked up to after Father. But you are not fit to be king. You are too foolish."

"And you are too arrogant. Thousands will die once Limitless completes his plans. The power struggle that will follow among the humans will shatter the continent. I cannot let that happen!"

The Scorpion Warlock was about to retort, but I held up my hand. Surprisingly, he stopped.

Turning to Kaziema, I spoke once more. But I did so in a gentler tone. As the strongest prince, this man must have had worries I couldn't even begin to understand. But while his heart was in the right place, his vision was far too narrow.
