Limitless The Strongest Revenant-Chapter 1069: Kick everyone out [2/2]
Wordlessly, I walked towards the subspace. And stuck my hand inside. My hand vanished until the wrist, as if it were cut. However, it didn't hurt, nor did I get injured. Compared to the chill the rest of my body felt, my hand felt warm.
Amazed, I walked into the invisible portal without a second thought.
[My lord, this entire space appears to be a domain. I am unsure if it is an unregistered Reaper or a Soulgear that uses a Specter as a base.]
"I see. Why can we pass thought?" I asked aloud.
"Probably because of me. Without {Store}, I doubt we could pass through the invisible veil without issue."
Lilly entered the subspace as she explained. Within seconds the rest of my forces followed. My princess raised her hand and opened a {Portal} a few feet away. It was through there that the Africans exited.
"Hmm. So even the {City of the Dead} cannot stop Hellsend," Tshilumba grunted.
"For what it's worth, even South America would be helpless against Hellsend when it comes to defenses. When it comes to space manipulation, Hellsend is second to none," Carlos added.
Ignoring the words of the peanut gallery, I gazed at the city inside the Danakil Depression. It looked like a really old city. The houses appeared to be built of stone and were spaced together like a modern street. There were what appeared to be lamps that illuminated the city.
It looked peaceful. Much like outside, a breeze flowed in, but it was warm. In the sky, the same moon I saw earlier shone. Frankly, this space was unlike the void spaces we used. For one, it looked like an actual place on Earth. But what I didn't expect was the sheer size of it.
I scanned the area and felt the soul signatures of thousands of Phantoms. And there were twenty Specters. However, what made my body shiver was the black hole in my soul sensing. There was an area in the tallest building that seemed to eat everything around it.
"The Immortal," I gasped in awe.
Within seconds, something fast came our way. It broke the sound barrier and suddenly braked in front of us. There were two of them. Phantoms.
"Halt! Who goes there? How did you even enter the City of the Dead? Identify yourselves!"
[My lord, please note that [Cipher] currently is changing how you appear to them. Apart from the Africans, our people are shown as hooded figures.]
'I see. Thank you for your precautions, Exa.'
The flying Reapers looked like man-bird hybrids. But I hardly paid any attention to them. I was more concerned with the signatures for the Specters. One of them was already on his way here. Now that we finally arrived, I had a choice.
The question was if I would just dash to Onye or destroy everything towards him. If this was a game, I would do the latter. Simply to power-up and prepare. But if the Reapers present were all civilians, moving silently was the better choice.
"I am Prince Tshilumba Mubanga, and these are my guests. I wish for an audience with Chief Onyebuchi Ndekwu. It is urgent. It is related to the safety of the continent."
At the Scorpion Warlock's quick thinking, the guards bowed before they replied. "I am sorry, Prince Tshilumba; the royal capital is in lockdown. Please leave and return tomorrow."
"But why? Have you not seen the terrorist attacks happening all over the continent?"
The two guards looked at each other before turning back to us.
"I don't know what to tell you, your highness. Even if you went there, they would not open the door for you," one of them said, conflicted.
But then, the other surprised everyone. "Your Highness, I'm not sure if I should say this, but earlier today, the chief announced that His Majesty's condition has worsened. I doubt anyone from the royal harem can spare time for you right now."
Tshilumba, Zanele, and Nomvula even tried to convince the guards to let us in. But the guards said nothing. When we lingered. More and more guards arrived along with a Specter.
As I wondered if we should attack, I felt a hand grab my shoulder. It was Juno; she had a weird expression as if she had swallowed shit.
"My lord. There is something there. Something evil. Something terrifying."
I glanced at Roach and saw him biting his lip, frozen. When I turned around, I saw that everyone on our side, except for the Africans and me, seemed to have trouble breathing. Jas then confirmed what I had already expected all along.
"Husband, there is an archdemon in the capital."
"Well, fuck."
"Huh, what do you mean, Jasmine? I do not feel anything?" Amari questioned defensively.
The one to call out to him was Yvonne.
"Fr fr, Lady S ain't capping. This legit feels just like when we threw hands with Andromalius. Y'all gotta be nerfed or something. The vibes are straight-up cursed, just like last time."
"It seems that the Archdemon is hiding in plain sight against those who are already from Africa. Otherwise, I cannot understand why they cannot even sense it. Honey, you feel it too, right?"
"No, I do not," I answered Bella.
"What's the plan Possum. This is pressure is definitely from a Archdemon. But the niggers look blind to it. We fucking them all up?"
"It seems like there was no other option from the beginning. If we race forward, we may get surrounded by the city. Bella, can the soulless hold that many back?" Aki questioned.
"Not without help. And definitely not the entire city. Even with my {Replicated} units. The space is too wide."
"Since when have we cared about any of that crap? Possum, we going?"
"…"
The Specter then came closer as he shapeshifted his arm into a long snake. Was this him trying to look intimidating? What the fuck was so cool about having a snake on your arm?
While I wanted to avoid attacking the innocents. Leaving them all to surround us was not ideal either. I looked to Jo and Lilly and made a request.
"Jo. Lilly."
"Yes, Darling?" "What is it, Dear?"
"I know I am being shameless. But can you please kick everyone out? I want to talk to Onye privately."
My two Specters looked at each other before smiling.
"As you command, my lord." X2
Ignoring the African Specter's posturing, I faced my forces as I gave new instructions.
"We will divide into two teams: Attack and Evict. Anyone who does not join Jo and Lilly will be part of the Attack team. We will fight our way to the main castle. Amari, Olamide, Tshilumba, I leave you to do as you will. Do not get in my way."
"We understand," the princes replied.
Lilly then clapped her hands as she declared out loud, "Bella and Carlos will join our group. Everyone else, guard Dearest with your lives."
"Yes! Lady Ishtar!" the rest replied.
I walked to embrace Jo, Lilly, and Bella before leaving.
"Wait! Who are you? I just told you to identify yourselves! Comply, or we will make you."
Despite being a powerhouse, Hellsend treated the Snake armed Specter like air. I turned towards the building and moved.
"{Never Alone} [Sky Sentinel]. Let's go! [Burst]!"
Without looking back, I raced past the guards. My allies all did the same. Liv, Robyn, Aki, and Jas used [Sky Sentinel]. Everyone else, including Roach, used [Wizard] and [Afterburner]. Naturally, the guards tried to stop us. But I wasn't worried.
As we charged for Onye, I sensed a large amount of souls in the air. Even without looking back I felt that it was a {Gate}. Wondering how the girls would carry out my command I waited. Only for something to fall out of the doorway Lilly opened.
Within a few seconds, it grew. It grew to the size I couldn't believe. My hearing and senses made me doubt what had happened. This thing was fucking massive. I turned my head, and I finally understood.
"A fucking Tunneling worm."
That's right. Lilly dropped a Rank A Tunneling Worm from the sky. Given her soulgear, I could understand how. But then I noticed that the worm was not moving. It was already dead. Like a pile of shit, it crashed pathetically on the ground.
But before I could even comment, a robotic voice resonated in the skies. While it sounded like Hellsgate's announcer, the soul signature was Jo's. She must have changed her voice to confuse the enemy.
"{ALERT: A-RANK TUNNELING WORMS HAVE INVADED THE CITY! ALL REAPERS, PLEASE EVACUATE AT ONCE! PLEASE PROCEED TO YOUR DESIGNATED EXITS.}"
The sheer magnitude of the voice and the souls that filled the echoes told me my Darling just used {Thrall}. As I flew past several houses, I saw people all walking out of their homes like zombies. Of course, some of them were armed, but the surprises of my girls didn't stop there.
"[Envy's Kiss]! {Hey, slinky! Get up! Time to work}!" Jo commanded.
"{Marionette}, {Portal}. Aegis division, come to me! Children, set the table!" Bella shouted.
The sounds of a rhythmic concert of footsteps marching forward thumped on. Along with them were engines of tanks, helicopters, and Ripsaws. Then a sound I didn't expect. Like stones grating, something big suddenly lifted from the ground.
Before I could ask, I then felt Carlo's signature along with his {fate}, "{Fractured Reality}!"
"Oh Shit!"
I couldn't help but stop and gaze at the sudden army that appeared.
The soulless army tripled in number along with three zombie Tunneling Worms. The combination of {Fates} of our Specters and Bella was formidable. The imposing army then began to rampage. My girls were really just the best.
