Chapter POV: Jasmine Denel-Smith
It was one of the deepest secrets of Africa. A capital hidden from view that not only housed the strongest of the continent but also its future. The city of the dead. Even as a child, I remember stories from my mother telling me of its beauty.
Yet finally arriving here, I could only see a king and his harem isolated in peace at the expense of his people. But that ends tonight. Even with my intellect, I couldn't understand why Africa had fallen to its current state.
Despite having His Majesty the Immortal, their condition was pitiful. Only then did I feel something menacing toward the center of the city. A vile presence that made my skin crawl—as if I had suddenly turned into a mouse hiding from a cobra.
I turned to my Kindred and informed him, "Husband, there is an archdemon in the capital."
"Well, fuck."
The reactions of our group differed. Those from the continent failed to see it. But our side—especially the wolves and the Awakened—reacted as I did. And while the city's guards were ready to attack, everyone waited on the words of my husband.
"Jo. Lilly," he finally said.
"Yes, Darling?" "What is it, Dear?"
"I know I am being shameless. But can you please kick everyone out? I want to talk to Onye privately."
It was an insane request. One that practically seemed impossible. And yet...
"As you command, my lord." x2
'Sigh... I guess I would have reacted the same way.'
Husband gave additional commands, but that wasn't the most important thing. Without delay, I had part of my consciousness jump back into the Sirens server.

Seeing the ridiculous names on our server, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
'Good grief, these nicknames are getting out of hand.'
[EnviousMentalPatient: Alright gang! How do we do this? We finally putting Slinky to work?]
[WrathfulUglyMarsupial: Will you give that fucking thing a rest already, nutjob? Stop trying to throw those cunts at every enemy you see.]
[EnviousMentalPatient: Oh come on! Bella and I worked hard on giving him CPR. He'll be good, I promise!]
[PridefulSixArmedBigfoot: The hardest thing with Beloved's request is getting the people out safely.]

[GreedyHoleyWormLover: The fastest way to get them out would be to have them move on their own power. But their distance from the exit would slow things down. I can throw them out, but even for me creating that many portals is too much.]
[SlothfulBasementDweller: In that case, the only option is to have them segregate into selected positions just like evacuation shelters. The next problem would be how to select and teleport those positions.]
Hearing the problem, I couldn't help but chuckle. Jo already foresaw the only possible solution. But like a devious child, she didn't say the answer—she forced us to think.
[LustfulViolentGuardsman: Then Jo's first suggestion was already correct. With a powerful {Thrall} command, we can collect them, then create the Portal inside Slinky and have him eat them.]
[EnviousMentalPatient: HEHEHEHE! I love love love you, Jas! I knew you would get it.]
[WrathfulUglyMarsupial: Strewth! Seriously?]
[SlothfulBasementDweller: Better plan than what I had. I'll have Carlos create more Slinkys. I can control one, but not the others. We need Sirens on portal duty and Slinky driver duty.]
Slinky was what Jo called her new pet. Among the worms that died in the Vampire Conspiracy, I had Lilly steal one of the corpses. It was illegal to claim the corpse, but since only we knew how many really died, I had her smuggle one out.
That was partly why the girls called her Wormhole. Since it was before she evolved her Soulgear, just that single corpse filled her entire subspace. Robyn commented she was the perfect hole to hide a worm in.
Funny enough, Lilly took offense and blamed me for that pitiful moniker since.
[GreedyHoleyWormLover: Hmph! I refuse to be on Slinky duty. I've had enough of these vile things! They smell! I'll be on portal duty.]
[WrathfulUglyMarsupial: Oy, stop being stupid pervert. There's a Specter in front of you and the nutjob.]
[EnviousMentalPatient: Eh? But we can take him out in like two seconds. It's the Emerald Viper. Domain's all about poison. He's kinda weak...]
Only my sister could make such a bold claim. But considering how advanced our tactics were, I couldn't help but agree.
[PridefulSixArmedBigfoot: I volunteer for Slinky duty.]
[GluttonousBloodAddict: As do I.]
[SlothfulBasementDweller: Okay. Liv, Aki, and I will drive the worms. Lilly, Jo, and Robyn work the portals. Jas, you keep an eye out. The plan is to corral everyone into shelters and have the worms bring the portals to them.]
With Lilly's ascension, {Portal} evolved. If before it had to be placed on static objects, we could now bypass that by creating the {Portal} on a living being. Of course, apart from Jo, no one thought of creating a portal inside a living being.
With our plans set, Lilly called out, "Bella and Carlos will join our group. Everyone else, guard Dearest with your lives."
Husband gave the Sirens staying behind a hug before racing onward. I, along with those not on eviction duty, followed. A Specter was droning somewhere along that path, but then he vanished.
Without understanding what happened, Lilly opened a {Gate} to the bottom of the Indian Ocean. Jo then shot him with an overpowered [Sonic Cannon], effectively sending the powerhouse away.
'It amazes me just how powerful our group has become.'
The Emerald Viper was by no means a weak Specter. Most would struggle against his poison-curing domain. But that only mattered if you could even fight in the first place.
Everyone in our group had enhanced vision and hearing. So, like me, they heard how easily a Specter was evicted. But my sisters didn't stop there.
[GreedyHoleyWormLover: I'm releasing the worm.]
[EnviousMentalPatient: Hey! He has a name, you know! It's Slinky!]
"{ALERT: A-RANK TUNNELING WORMS HAVE INVADED THE CITY! ALL REAPERS, PLEASE EVACUATE AT ONCE! PLEASE PROCEED TO YOUR DESIGNATED EXITS.}"
Jo's soul-powered command echoed throughout the space. Even as our group flew, the effects were immediate. Those who couldn't fight the command were forced to follow it.
Using {Insight}, I could see from the sky that the people were all running toward selected points.
"[Envy's Kiss]! {Hey, Slinky! Get up! Time to work!}"
"{Marionette}, {Portal}. Aegis division, come to me! Children, set the table!"
"{Fractured Reality}!"
Jo and Bella raised Slinky from the dead. The Soulless also joined the field, gunning down the guards. As the unbelievable combination of technology and soul showed its strength, the Africans couldn't even fight back.
And that was before Carlos used his ability to multiply the army by three!
[SlothfulBasementDweller: Exa, please take command of the Soulless. Have them scour the city and take out any resistance.]

[PridefulSixArmedBigfoot: I have taken over the 2nd Slinky, heading toward the evacuation point.]
[GluttonousBloodAddict: Slinky 3 is now operational. Sortieing out.]
Liv and Aki were among those flying with Husband and me. But our abilities had expanded so much in scope, we could now be in two places at once and still be okay. If you consider where we started, it was hard not to get emotional.
Husband was like divine providence that wielded my sisters and me like a weapon. Liv didn't even know how to use a calculator. Yet now, few could beat her in cryptography, space manipulation, or even unorthodox tactics.

[EnviousMentalPatient: {Gate} three is also completed! I'm heading out. Darling needs some cover, right? Exa can take care of the small fry.]
[GreedyHoleyWormLover: The {Gate} for the original Slinky is also completed. I will now go ahead and create a diversion. Jas, have the powerhouses in the capital moved yet?]
[LustfulViolentGuardsman: No, they have not. I have marked a few of the troublesome Phantoms. Take them out if you can. A lot of the inner guards carry benevols.]
[SlothfulBasementDweller: Leave them to me. I'll have Sabel snipe them. I'm also moving to shell the palace with artillery. If the bastards don't want to come out, we'll destroy their fancy palace to the last brick!]
Although no one instructed my sisters, we all knew the dangers of this operation. Among the Specters Africa had, the ones protecting the capital were by far the strongest. This city was created as a stronghold to prevent the demons from invading.
But the Sirens couldn't care less. As our Kindred wanted to talk with Onye, we would drag him out—even if it meant leveling the entire city to dust.
Explosions of all shapes and sizes began to rumble in the air. If the Africans didn't believe the warning earlier, they would now. The tunneling worms made the entire city quake with each dive and rise. Within a few minutes, the city of the dead turned chaotic.
It was then that Husband gave us a command.
"Everyone, I want radio silence. [Ninja]."
Immediately Husband's visage and sound footprint turned faint. I sent souls to my eyes in order to not lose sight of him. The new discipline system was truly frightening. The moment this upgrade reached the rest of Hellsend, our Phantoms would have enough power to take on even Specters.
