Chapter 547: Pursuing To Marry

The Vallodisan Castle, Richalwolf Land

This couple of days went smoothly and sweet in Isabella’s life. Silas kept his words, never expressing his feelings for him. Rather, they stayed as good friends and Isabella, on the other hand loved the idea of being Tiara’s godmother. She spent most of her time in Silas’s orphanage or riding horse or flying in the sky with Silas. The Royal stuff all assumed that they were just good friends and liked to spend time with each other, playing like a kid every now and then.

For the first time in life, Isabella felt alive, cheerful after her husband’s death. She was grateful that she found a friend like Silas who supported her through her hard times. But something didn’t change with her health. No matter how much she took care of her health, drunk medicine on time, the special healer group of Richalwolf Land mentioned that she didn’t recover fully. She had to stay more than a couple of days here in Richalwolf Land. This repetition of words irritated her so much that she stopped asking recently.

Was she really in that poor state?

That night, Isabella cut the apple for the queen, smiling at her little gossip. Living with them for days, Isabella figured out that they both were actually very warm and gentle except Silas who had a very complicated character. Although Silas felt very open-minded around her, Isabella believed that Silas had so much more to say which he hid from everyone. But the rumors about killing his own girlfriend still lingered in her mind. Isabella tried to know the truth from Silas but he avoided her like the plague whenever she brought the topic in discussion. In that way, she stopped interrogating him anymore and respected his personal space of not telling.

The queen rumbled, putting the nicely chopped apple into her mouth,

" Isabella, you should help me, dear. Silas, that brat isn’t listening to me. I want to raise my grandchildren before leaving this world."

Isabella smiled at the queen’s words, subconsciously wondering about her own mother. Her mother would have said the same thing if she was alive today. Letting out a soft sigh of remorse, she promised to push the bowl in front of her,

" Aunty, I will convince Silas to get married. I won’t leave this castle without finding his bride."

Queen’s eyes lit up in hope as she exclaimed, shooting her an adorable look,

" That’s my girl! I know, you can, Isabella. Silas is so good to you. I believe that he will listen to you."

After doing her regular duties as the queen liked being fed by her, Isabella made her way inside Silas’s room. She met his assistant midway who told her that it wasn’t the right time to visit Silas as he was doing some special duties. Regardless of his warning, Isabella walked to his office, stunning midway when she heard someone’s wailing.

Inside, Silas looked grim, glaring down at the brown wolf who wasn’t allowed to transform. The brown wolf begged, making multiple requests,

" Duke Silas... Please..she..she was in love with me..I didn’t want to break in.."

The wolf who was communicating through his beast form swallowed hard when Silas’s cold green eyes landed on him, scaring his wit. So far, he had heard about his strange strategies of punishing someone which was the reason behind his tagname ’Mad Duke’. But he never faced anything and this was the brown wolf’s first crime. He fell in love with a girl from this state and went to meet with her in her house at midnight. But unfortunately, he was caught red handed by the other family members. Worst of all, the girl denied recognizing him hence he was proven to be a filthy man who went to sneak around the house.

Silas lifted down his outstretched leg from the table, chuckling after dropping his feet on the ground,

" You see, gentleman, your lover doesn’t even admit you. Give me a reason to believe your bullshit thoughts."

The brown wolf whined, giving him a pleading glare,

" What will be the punishment? Death Sentence?"

Silas chuckled, standing up to rub her palms together,

" Unfortunately No! I would have loved to see you making out with her because that would have lessened my work of judgement. Now, you can see! I have to think about your punishment."

The brown wolf gave him a bewildering look. Although, Silas spoke very calmly with his creepy smile, the people next standing to him knew that he wasn’t joking around. Silas loves to give death sentences most of the time but this case wasn’t so severe like others.

Before he could announce his punishment, the door was knocked carefully. Silas barked, unaware of the person behind the closed door,

" Who the fuck is it now?"

Isabella was little startled by his voice then understood that he was probably pissed off. Clearing her throat, she spoke nervously,

" Silas... It’s.. It’s me... Are..are you busy? Shall I come later?"

Silas widened his eyes slightly, cursing underneath his breath and plopped down on the chair decently before responding,

" No, I am free, Isabella. Come in!"

The group of councilmen agaped their mouth in disbelief, looking down at the culprit strangely. Here, a trail was waiting for him yet he just said that he was free. With his approval, Isabella pushed open the door gently and stopped in amazement to see more people there.

Silas sent them a glare, dismissing them impatiently,

" Why are you guys standing still? Get out. This will continue tomorrow."

They all bowed at the Duke before giving a meaningful glance to the pretty lady on the doorway. In their years of working with Duke, it was the first time that he put his work aside for someone. The councilmen had to bow to the Duke because their law was different from other lands and the council didn’t hold power over the Royal Family. They were regarded to be lower than Royal Family Members.

The men bowed first at Duke then turned to bow at Isabella who was stunned by their behavior. Apparently, they could guess that it was their future queen.

Isabella bit her lips shyly and waved them off, 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

" No need to bow to me, Please. I am just a guest."

Just when the group of men was about to step aside, a pleased smiling Silas roared from behind,

" Well, after reconsidering, I think that the guy is telling the truth. Let him off this time, councilmen."

Once again, the group of men was speechless.
