Meanwhile in Dixon Palace, Elizabeth rushed into the palace, hoping to find Cedric as early as possible but she couldn’t find him anywhere. Clueless of what to do, she ran in different directions until Frenchies bumped on her way. Taking a glimpse of her horrifying face, Frenchies understood that something had gone wrong. He questioned her with concern,

" Miss Elizabeth, are you looking for someone?"

Elizabeth was panting to breathe. She wished to tell Cedric first but since he was nowhere to be seen around, Elizabeth had no choice but to speak up,

" His highness..is he.. here? Do you know where he went, Frenchies?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Frenchies informed staring at her face perplexed,

" Yes, he has gone to settle some business in nearby villages. It may take hours to return. Why? What’s wrong? You can tell me anything."

Elizabeth cursed herself briefly and swallowed hard at the thought of Ayra’s immediate leave. Now, Cedric wasn’t there to help her, she could face more grief and danger too. After contemplating inside her thoughts, Elizabeth pursued her lips fearfully,

" Actually.. Frenchies... Princess..she.. she has gone to find..Debisa..on her own.. Can you ensure that she doesn’t fall in danger?"

" What??", Frenchies also yelled at Elizabeth’s face. With personal warning coming from Lord Ralph, things were definitely not easy out there. Hayden was definitely looking for an opportunity. Now, Ayra had gone missing, the tension was more severe. Frenchies spat harshly, already finding ways inside his head to search for her,

" How did she find Debisa? Where have they gone? Just tell me something."

Elizabeth was a bit scared to spill out the truth. But she couldn’t stop herself since Frenchies looked grim in fear. She replied, fidgeting with her clothes,

" That...that ritual.. She performed some..sort of ritual...And she knows.."

" FUCK!", Frenchies growled, already running towards the exit anxiously. Now that, she had touched the book, Hayden was definitely aware of it if Debisa was really with him. He needed to find Cedric asap before things got out of his hands.

On the other side, Ayra didn’t land down immediately. This particular forest seemed more scary in her eyes. The rows of woods were so dense that she couldn’t even look into it from such high above the sky. But her powers of detecting vision were strongly telling her that Debisa was inside this land.

But who was keeping him here? Why did she see so much blood on its face?

A lot of questions were surrounding her mind but there was only one way to know everything. She had to get inside the forest and rescue Debisa. Dangers never scared her. Now, her powers were active, she could find against any creature from this world.

Determined to save the poor soul, Ayra flattered her long wings for a while then dipped down to slide through the forest. A heavy round of haze clouded her vision but she managed to pass through it after flying for a while. Surprised, it didn’t take much time for her to find Debisa. In her peripheral vision, she spotted him in distance, laying on the ground, groaning in pain, coming from his bruises. Chains are extremely sensitive to a dragon’s body. For being captive here for a long time, his body got fresh scars every single day whenever he moved and resisted Hayden’s command. The tortures became relentless and bone-cracking to some extent that he stopped resisting.

Standing inside the woods, Ayra stared at the lying Dragon then looked back to see that no one was coming here on their way. She was a little hesitant to approach forward since Debisa didn’t like her to begin with neither she found out about the person who was keeping her here. Without Cedric by her side, she really felt clueless in this world.

Sucking a deep breath to encourage herself, Ayra forwarded again, leaving all hesitations, fears aside. When she was much closer to Debisa, her eyes turned into a pair of round globes in shock. Debisa was in the worst state than her vision. She noticed the way Debisa’s bruises increased whenever it moved a slight bit. A choked cry left her mouth, her knees dropped to put Debisa on her lap, saying at the same time,

" Debisa..dear God, who has done this to you? Debisa..."

Debisa on the other hand didn’t have any shocked expression to see her here as if he was aware of the fact that Ayra was going to appear here. His dark liquid eyes were steady on Ayra dizzily and he was trying to gesture at something which Ayra failed to notice. Ayra continued quickly, wiggling her ass to get up,

" Let me remove this chain from you first, Debisa."

Unexpectedly, Debisa let out a low vulnerable roar as if he was indicating that Ayra shouldn’t unlock his chains. Ayra froze midway, staring into his meaningful eyes, cluelessly. She muttered, trying to understand the communication from a dragon,

" Debisa.. what are you saying..you don’t want to come home?"

Debisa only let out an animalistic squeak which wasn’t capable of Ayra’s understanding since Dalastia had never had any dragons before. When Ayra was immersed into Debisa’s eye-signal, she failed to notice a black shadow appearing behind her back. It was so silent like wind that even her subconscious mind didn’t feel the instinct.

Debisa raised his head, alarming even though the chain was hurting him like hell. Before he could roar at Ayra, something hit her behind her head and she dropped on the ground in a shot.

" Ahh!", her cries reverberated in the dark forest before she failed into an era of darkness miserably. Debisa broke into a roar to see the girl, falling into the ground to save him. For the first time, Debisa felt sorry to treat her like this from the beginning. His eyes rested on her lying face pitifully.

What could he do to help her? What could he do to save her from this danger named Hayden who was waiting for this opportunity for years?
