Loved By a Vampire King-Chapter 580: The Vicious Fight

Jessie whipped her head back to see the animal closely. Her mouth hung open in disbelief to see such an oversized Chitah. She was aware of the shifter Chitahs in this kingdom but encountering such a big one left her questioning. It was almost big like a werewolf. With its dark eyes looking at her intensely, the Chitah looked fierce now.

Jessie had no idea what the difference was between a big one or a fair sized one. So, she looked blank for a few seconds, lost in her thoughts. In her subconscious mind, she dropped the herb on the ground to hear another roar from the Chitah.

To her surprise, she heard a manly voice, coming from that Chitah loudly,

" You have stepped in my land and even dared to steal the herb. I must say that you are a very brave, Young Lady. "

Jessie was shocked to hear him. In the past, she heard that the Chitahs couldn’t talk when they were in their animal shape. It was her very first time to see such a different one. Jessie replied calmly, not wanting any unnecessary fight as Shanz was dealing with his wounds there,

" I meant no harm in your land. I just wanted this herb."

Chitah sneered at her words, growling to retort,

" Do you think that it’s your father’s property that you can come and take as you wish? You are a thief to me. A thief must get her punishment."

Jessie replied truthfully, looking around closely to see anyone nearby or not,

" Someone is almost dying. Only this herb can cure him. I had to take this at any cost. Please try to understand my situation."

Chitahs are naturally very hot tempered. If someone breaks into their territory, they think of it as a threat and act more violently. Hence, whatever Jessie was pleading, she had zero effect on that Chitah.

The man in the shape of Chitah began to take his predatory steps towards Jessie, emphasizing each and every single word with dominance,

" A thief is a thief no matter what the reason is. You must pay for your sin or else the entire land will question my morality."

Jessie cursed under her breath. Chitah was definitely in the mood to fight with her. Putting the herb into her pocket quickly, she readied herself for the fight. She didn’t transform into a dragon for a long time. She wasn’t sure how it would work. Trying to shift within a short time would take her energy away only.

The following moment, the big Chitah had launched himself, entirely upon Jessie. She dodged it effectively before going on the other side. She sneered back in rage,

" Since you are so eager to fight, let’s fight but let me tell you in advance. Even if I die, I will bring this herb with me."

Chitah was a hundred years old guy. He used to take part in bribery which was the reason, a duke had banished him to this land. After living years in loneliness, he had become a real beast and forbade everyone to land in his territory. With his consistent attacks on this place, others stopped visiting this mountain or the nearby areas. Jessie was the first person who broke into it.

That Chitah went mad when she heard Jessie swearing. He thought that everything in this land was his sole property and no one had the right to take it even though it was a matter of death or survival. With a rumbling growl, the Chitah attacked Jessie again, stretching out his sharp and vicious claws.

This time, Jessie couldn’t dodge it well. She fell straight on the ground and blocked his claws with her hands. His strength was admirable, taking all her breath away to stop him. As Jessie was engaged in a hand fight, she couldn’t even cast her spell. To cast a spell, anyone needed to have attention and focus on the victim which was lacking now.

After pushing back and forth, Chitah kept roaring at her face, very close to digging his vicious nails on her face. She fought hard until she threw him backwards. Stumbling on her feet, Jessie attempted to run down from the mountain. Once she was out of this territory, the Chitah wouldn’t chase her anymore.

Unfortunately after a few steps that she took, Chitah’s attack came unexpectedly harsh. It attacked her neck, bit on her neck hard to spurt flesh, blood from her skin. Jessie cried out painfully, hitting herself on the ground. The bite was too painful in comparison with other animals. She had no idea how the shifter Chitahs could affect her spirit. With just one bite, she was feeling like her entire strength had faded away. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Her cries echoed in the air with Chitah’s vicious laughter. That manly voice spoke with hatred,

" I told you, lady! You aren’t going to escape without my punishment. I will eat your flesh here.".

The Chitah rumbled in hunger. It had been a long time since he killed any creature. He was craving for fresh blood and meat. When Jessie heard his plan, she was scared. She had no idea how to defend Chitah fully in his shape. To save herself, she could only see one path ahead which was straight close to death.

She was almost at the edge of the mountain. The land that she stepped in was also one of the longest mountains in the kingdom. The depth down there was unimaginable. She had no idea how she was going to survive after jumping down. But it was only the better option that was left for her.

As the Chitah aimed to attack her again to tear her neck apart, Jessie suddenly rolled herself down from the edge downward. Before Chitah’s vicious nails could attack her, she fell from the mountain with a loud cry, swinging herself in the air. She just hoped that even if she was dead, Shanz got this herb from her.
