Chapter 593: Your Father

Hayden grew anxious after hearing Ashua. He snapped out of rage, growling like a caged beast,

" You...tell me...who is it?"

Ashua let out a heavy sigh, his eyes flickering with hatred when he uttered the name,

" Your father...Ralph.."

Hayden’s face sank after he heard about his father. He thought that his father wouldn’t do anything to go against him no matter what. Cedric was given the position of the king in the Basarisk. Naturally Ralph would be needing someone to take over his throne. For this reason, his father tolerated his ill actions for years. He didn’t know why this had changed all of a sudden.

Hayden asked with a painful growl, clutching his chest in his fist,

" What..can I do to cure this? Ugh!! I have been tolerating this shit for a good while."

Ashua shook her head helplessly, gazing down at Hayden,

" I am afraid that I can’t help you with that. You have to find out who is merged with your soul. If that person can heal faster, you can heal too."

Hayden’s face darkened in rage as he huffed, leaving the Ashua castle frantically. He never thought that his father would betray him in this way. He had to find out why he did this to him even though he was the only heir of the demon clan.

The night in the Basarisk castle was quite and dark. All the servants left for bed as they didn’t know that Ayra was missing from her room. They had been told that the queen would be resting and she didn’t want to be disturbed. Alexander took care of the matter and waited in the balcony for their arrival. He was double tensed because Elizabeth was with Ayra as well. Elizabeth was just a poor girl with innocent heart and didn’t had the abilities to protect herself or Ayra. So, he didn’t think that it was a good idea to bring Elizabeth with Ayra.

As he waited next to his giant window, painting and occasionally glancing in the sky, he spotted a pair of fire wings, coming from a far direction. The silhouette was making her way to the top of the Basarisk. When it came closer, he saw someone else sitting over the flying silhouette. Alexander let out a shocking gasp when he saw the girl on the back was Ayra. That means... Elizabeth was actually flying?

He ran upstairs to find them first carefully, not wanting to alert anyone. He had already spent his energy on Frenchies by blocking him from checking all the rooms. Frenchies would be suspicious if he didn’t see Ayra or Elizabeth in their respective rooms.

Arthur woke up as well after hearing the door opening of his brother’s room. As they were twins, their actions or senses often matched. Arthur followed Alexander, asking on the way,

" Are they back? Where are you going?"

Alexander hussed him to stay quiet and went upstairs to the top. Arthur stayed quiet and followed him as well to be surprised by an overwhelming view. Elizabeth with her brown fire wings landed on the top of the castle. From her back, Ayra came down carefully and met her two anxious brothers.

Alexander came to her first, checking on her carefully,

" Goodness! You are okay, Sister. Why do you always love adventures?"

Ayra only chuckled to glance at somewhere else. She noticed how Elizabeth was wincing in pain because of the wings that she just used. As it was her very first times, she had her difficulties in handling those large wings including the fire. Ayra mumbled meaningfully to Alexander,

" I am fine but you should pay attention to someone else first. She is in pain."

Alexander’s eyes anxiously shot up to lay on Elizabeth’s face. He crunched his eyebrows together before asking,

" What happened to her..Her wings..well those are unique.."

Before he could approach, Arthur rushed towards Elizabeth worriedly. He peeked on her bruised back and asked anxiously,

" What happened to you? Why did you use wings without practice, fool? Come with me! I have medicine in my room. It can help you heal."

Elizabeth wanted to decline but Arthur was already holding her hands, dragging her behind him. Upon watching this, Ayra let out a helpless sigh. She knew that Alexander loved Elizabeth even more than Arthur but he was too slow to show his emotions.

Ayra gave her piece of advice to Alexander before finding her way to the stairs,

" Brother!! Sometimes showing love is necessary than waiting. You may regret it later. Take each opportunity to show your love otherwise who knows.. what can happen.."

Ayra didn’t know why she told him these words. However, Arthur was very caring towards Elizabeth. She just wished that Elizabeth would be able to select the right one for her life. She knew that there would be a day when Elizabeth had to select between the twins. On this time, these little affection would matter a lot.

Ayra returned to their living room, gave out a sigh of relief when she didn’t feel Cedric in the castle. Once she was alone in the room, she brought out the journal from her magical illusion. She held it in her hands tightly and opened it slowly to read the first page. At that very moment, someone pushed open the door without warning. She was so lost in the thoughts of journal that she forgot to lock the door. Besides, Cedric never knocked on the door to enter as he always wanted to show off that she belonged to him.

Ayra almost fell off the journal in panic and heard his deep voice that sounded very casual,

" Didn’t you go to sleep? I thought, I told you already that I would be late."

Ayra froze, holding the journal in her hands. Her heart was skidding wildly. She even forgot to use her magic to hide the journal. The more he stepped closer from her back, the more she grew stiff without doing anything.
